I just finished the fifth (and probably final) part of my ending fanfic. It is obviously quite adapted to my Shepard. I hope somebody likes it! Feedback is welcome. First part starts right after Anderson's death.

Part 2:

Part 4:

Part 5:

Hmh. I really need to learn how to turn words into links. Going to sleep soon so might not see responses until tomorrow. -_-

(If there are any, that is! )

Liara is freaking me out...

I really liked the ending i thought it was fitting, Love the tribute to Jack and little Mordin.  also there's a embed hyperlink button on the standard form all you have to do is highlight the word, click the button, and copy and paste the link.

Also
@Nharia: just read the third part of your fic,  I want more, I need to know how the war is going to end.  there also weren't any major grammatical errors in this one that through the pace off, atleast not that i could tell.

You can't just say that. Experiencing PTSD trauma it's not like a walk in the goddamn park. You re-exprience the original traumas through flashbacks or nightmares, avoidance of stimuli associated with the trauma and increased arousal, difficulty falling or staying asleep, anger and hypervigilance and for it to cause significant impairment in important areas of functioning will require the symptoms to last more than one month. And obviously in Tyranniac story it lasted more than that, which seems impossible. I'm sorry, but I just don't buy that part.

I think that shep might have been cracking during the events of ME3 just based on alot of the convo options and Shep was already facing nightmares most of the time based on his decisions.  That he/she would have broken down afterwards especially considering that Like Tyrannic said, the reaper corpses would have rendered earth inhabitable, that Shepard had lost so much, and the after effects of being indoctrinated (I'm assuming Tyrannic went with the indoc theory, correct me if i'm wrong),  It only makes sense that what he was going through during ME3 would have transitioned to some form of PTSD.

The color of the Uniform shows you which division the person is in.
Liara wearing blue means: Science or Medic in ST.
Deanna Troi is wearing blue in the Series. Liara is so much like her mother. :D

And I ignore the part about not really liking Star Trek. That's impossible. Noononoo

Shepard should've exprience the PTSD since ME2 then. PTSD it's not something you come in contact with by eating icecream. You have to go through hell and back to even experience it, Shepard did all that, and she/he had nothing wrong happening with their mind and/or body. Everything Shepard experienced was the indoctrination, and not PTSD. As stated earlier, more than one month must pass for the symptoms of PTSD to cause social damage, in Shepard's case it's been more than one month. I'm sorry, I really am, but I can't believe the PTSD part of the story. Not even with "outside the box thinking". Now please let's go back to talking about Liara and blue babies please.
Enjoy some Ass-et!

Shush, Liara is learning about human cousine for Shepard's sake.

That and, from what the grub master on our ship during ME2 says, asari have badass cooking skills.

I thought we agreed that Liara couldn't cook?

Doesn't mean she can't learn what to order from the extranet :D

Those comics could mention something about the crew's hobbies, crafting skills and so on. Who knows, maybe Liara does know how to bake...

femShep: if you count burned to dust cake as "baked", yes she doe--- Liara put me down :pinched:

Ugh, almost 24h without the bluest place on the interwebs. Stupid RL getting in the way all the time! :P

So, what did I miss?

Bit of omni tool - and all the other stuff that implies around here.

Bit of fanart  - that cuddling picture was so damn sweet I had to run out of my room and ninja hug one of my housemates. (Got away before awkward questions could be raised :bandit:) Big thank you to the artist and finder!

Somebody (was it you Casey Kil?) didn't want my comrade pineapples on Liara's pizza - that's very considerate. I'd much rather see them keep frolicking on sunbathed maedows as well. (Though they do taste awfully good, if fresh)
Also, Liara is totally into hot & spicy asian seafood. It makes her cheeks blush in a wonderful purplish color

Much fanfic I didn't know and need to read now. (Where is that 36h day I was promised?)

And ... poetry? Huh, that's a new one.
So lets see what I can make up over the next five minutes couple of hard working, muse inspired hours ...

*very hard thinking*

Ok, cue the dramatic lighting effects:

Blue are your eyes
and blue is your skin.
Blue is the love
I get lost in.

Blue is your soul
and I am quite sure,
(I just have to say this)
so blue is your azure.

(Thank you, thank you, the applause is justified *bows*)

And last but not least, I probably won't buy the new ME comics.
I kinda liked the past ones (even their much critizised artstyle) for what they were. But in my eyes they just aren't substantial enough to justify the money, if you know what I mean.
Maybe I'll change my mind for the Liara one if it proves to be particularly great / cute / etc. but I don't count on it atm. Especially since I fear they will focus on fights and action once again instead of real character developement.

So, up to speed again, what's next?

€dit spelling :pinched:

Let me be clear I'm not siding with anyone... but as a 50% disabled vet due to PTSD I believe I can weigh in on this as somewhat of an expert. And both of you are correct... to a degree. In my case it took nearly ten years for the symptoms to fully come out in actions and other ways. Nightmares and flashbacks were part of that ten years but it took nearly a decade for it to fully manifest itself. In some it could take weeks or months or years. It all depends on the person and their state of mind.

Now... let's forgo anymore talk about PTSD... I get enough of that from the shrink every monthImage IPB and get back to the blue goddess!!!!!!!!!1Image IPBImage IPB

This is true, but going by my friend who has freckles (almost) everywhere (I didn't ask more, she just said so) it's not something the freckled may appreciate. Face freckles are all sorts of cute though. Anything else, I'm not in a position to comment.

Also, incredible pic there.

Yes, but if we compare what you've been through and what Commander Shepard has been through, I guess Cmdr. Shepard wins. Shepard should've experience PTSD long, long time ago. Nevertheless, you can fight like a Krogan, run like a Leopard, but you'll never be better than Commander Shepard!

That poem should have been in the game. Liara and Shepard could have made a Charr and Ereba redux scene.
Garrus could have asked Liara: Is that Shepard bothering you?

I really read that poem with Charr's voice in my head. Why did he have to die. Whyyy?!?! :crying:

Glad to see some of you read my ending fanfic! I'm a bit concerned about the final hospital scene being a little too short. Considering reworking it to make it longer and include more agonizing on Shepard's part over hurting Liara.

About the PTSD, I'm sorry if someone feels I have portrayed it poorly, I did the best I could without any personal experience. I wanted to portray my Shepard as damaged, but not broken, if that makes sense.

There's three things I would really like opinions on:
1. Was the speaking pattern of the geth ambassador believable?
2. Does anyone else have an uninhabitable Earth in their headcanon?
3. Anyone else had Shepard and Liara settle down on Eden Prime?

I'm glad that my first attempt at writing went decently at least! It was more fun than I expected. Feel a bit like doing more...

Don't really have anything else to contribute to the thread since I'm not very artistic. And, uhm... I'll just spare you from experiencing me attempting poetry.

2. only after that last battle. Not uninhabitable, but under construction after the whole mess. Before that I just thought Earth wasn't big enough anymore.

3. Nah, I always see them on other planets... or maybe on Shep's vacation house she got thanks to the Pinnacle Station DLC....
[edit] but maybe that's because I think Shepard would have too many memories on Eden Prime... It was where everything started.

Omg, I just though about all the asari couples in ME3, it's really foreshadowing.
That woman who wants to send her daughter to Thessia.
Charr and Ereba.
The Asari Widow from the Monastery.
And then that Turian and Asari couple, where the Turian has to go to war soon.
(I think they are the couple from ME2, who have the lifespan talk over fish xD)

BW really wanted to hurt the asari.
