You have characters who didn't romance Liara? Intolerable! You must repent; Delete all those who did not romance Liara and start over. On the double mister.

On a more serious note, I'll be importing one of my soldiers first and just see how well my game ends. I'll be making plenty of saves during that playthrough though, that way if something happens to Liara I hope to be able to retrace where I went wrong and then reload an earlier save to correct that.

I was wondering if people would do this or not. I tend to be of the opinion that going back to a previous save is cheating, I like to stay true to the decision my character made (sorry Dalish elves). But I must admit if I got Liara killed I might just have to go back and prevent it.

Generally speaking I'll live with my decisions unless it gets someone I like killed.  If I dislike the outcome enough, though, I'll 'correct' it in another playthrough.

I will undoubtely play with my canon Shep first. However I will complete (most likely) the playthrough without reloading to undo a decision or avoid anyone from dying. Yes, even Liara or Shepard's death.

Chances are for me, I will not know what I did to cause it if Liara was to die.  I would just go on and figure it out for another play through.  I have plenty to choose from. 

If I was to lose Liara, I would be devastated.

So there is really no point in using that save for ME3. Plus it has some choices from ME1 that I want to change.

That is exactly why I would play that one.  To see what the difference is.  Which is why I have some many different Shepards.  Some lost people, some didn't.  Some I played more than once, like my canon femShep.

Hmm. Good question.

I played ME before I got ME2, so I think the Liara fanbase would be much like the Virmire survivor fanbase is. Rather ticked off at getting ignored, and not as popular.

That would suck, however I would still be a fan of Liara. And yeah the fanbase would be a lot more pissed and much smaller.

Not too long after first meeting, Liara and Shepard discovered they belonged together. Their ambivalent reunion on Illium was understandable given the circumstances but provided no real reason to part ways or move on. Liara's picture still gave Shepard a sense of purpose and belonging prior to going through the Omega 4 relay. Had the DLC not been released what took place between them would have occurred in ME3. DLC was a nice bonus but not contingent upon the the strength of the bond that exists with them.

the problem is : why put the history of the recover the body of Shepard from Liara in the comics, and why put the defeat of Shadows inside the DLC ?
Bioware use this politic to take more money or because not have more time for put this
pieces of history ?
i'm the idea to have avry history avry charecter in the game, the DLC is only for put in the game new armor, new weampon.
without the Lair of the Shadows Broker, Liara stay in the same office, and not is possible speak
to the past events , and Shepard not have the opportunity to continue the romance whit Liara.

I just made a playthrough where I cheated with Liara with Miranda. Felt bad but found it astounding how mature Liara is about relationships.

I am hoping for a threesome in Me3.

Liara does get really mad about it on the balcony after fighting Vasir. Though when discussing their romance after fighting the Shadow Broker, she hardly mentions it. I do think she fully expects Shepard to break up with his ME2 LI at that point though. I for one hope Liara still gets mad in ME3 if you cheated on her after reaffirming her romance in Lotsb...

I'd like to think that BioWare didn't sit on that DLC for 6 months but rather that it just wasn't finished in time. Actually considering they've pushed back the release of ME3 to 2012 I might have liked it to be held back for a couple more months just so this wait would seem less interminable!

Somehow I think we will still get a bunch of DLCs of storyline afterwards >_<

The way it is set up in game, you can do just that.  You can break up with one ME2 LI, get back with Liara, get with new ME2 LI after being with Liara.  

Liara does get a little snippy on the balcony.  Faithful or not actually.  I was like, ut oh, first fight between them.  Shepard got snippy about the hacking before Liara either comments about ME2 LI or "how you can't just turn off two years of mourning" line.  Then hand to forehead.  

If you don't do the kiss interrupt after defeating the Shadow Broker, Liara comments when asked about their relastionship that she knows Shepard is with someone and maybe in the future they can get together.  She just wants Shepard to be happy.   You can say you want to be iwth Liara and Liara comments that she doesn't want any conflicts or trouble.  Probably a comment about the confrontation in ME1.

If you do the kiss is when Liara acts like Shepard wasn't with anyone else. 


I fully expect Liara to get very pissed off at Shepard if there is still a ME2 LI active for Shepard.  I'm still wondering how Kelly is going to play in this.  Even if you get the stripper dance from Kelly, Liara's picture is still up on the desk.
