It agree it probably is like that, but as someone said earlier, warm. I like it.

From Javik's comments, we can probably assume that the asari are (or rather used to be) mammals, before repeated melding with reptiles altered their biology.

(I know Javik's racist comments are a bit of a shaky source bit I have a feeling that was actually true. Makes sense considering how much they look like humans.)

I always thought her lack of using contractions with the way she talked (in the first ME) made her recognizable as more alien than those head tentacles... but than again the whole blue skin colour kinda triggered an alien vibe too.  Had bright neon lights going off in my head blinding me with "Star Trek! Star Trek!  Alien Babe!  Kirk it up!"

Sure but this makes her alien-er. That's key.

I think I once heard something about someone at the Miri thread claiming that Mirianda was a sort of femme fatale that only served to pull the maleSheps away from either Ashley or Liara.
I don´t think it was worded exactly like that, but I think you get my meaning.

In retrospect given how crappy ME2 romances where handled in ME3..I'm happy I was able to succesfully navigate the minefield that were ME2 LI and stayed faithful B) (never even saw one Love scene from ME2 in game, only through youtube!)

Me neither. Played 5 different Shepards so far and all them have romanced Liara. And you are right; the Normandy in ME2 felt like one big 24/7 loveboat where everyone wanted to get into Shepard´s pants. Had to reload a couple of times when I accidently stumbled into a romance when I thought I was just being polite (*cough* Thane *cough*).

Ok, was trying to be subtle about it, but I guess that doesn't work...
Star Treker, dude, stop doing pic bombs lest ye have the Wrath of Mods in here.
And yet, the Femshep thread is pic bombs galore.
And yet this isn't the femshep thread. I've seen quite a few instances where mods came into threads that constantly went way off topic, or threads that had pic bombs, and delete said pics and leave warnings and even temp ban people.
And for the life of me I don't understand why you don't know this, being a veteran of these forums.

God. Asari biology is so confusing!
Likely because it's not real and there isn't enough detailed lore describing it to get everyone on the same page about it?
Oh, and too many retcons and contradictions between codex and dialogue/comments...
True, but my point is that Shepard is not futhering the human gene-pool by making blue babies with Liara. Which is why I think Javik would shake his head at Shepard.
But then Mordin could have figured out how to fertilize a human egg with Asari cells, creating a new hybrid species. I mean, the whole Krogan Genophage R&D was was somewhat similar, and sort of did the opposite. I sort of head cannoned that back in the ME2 days, and would have loved to have Shepard birthing hers and Liara's child.
yesikareyes wrote...

^I wonder what a Turian/Human or Quarian/Human offspring would look like hypothetically speaking.
Why even go there, Quarians and Turians biology are based on dextro-amino, humans (and the rest of the known species) are levo-amino based. Any biological material introduced into the opposite type would largely be ignored and flushed by the receiver, meaning there could never be a cross bread Quarian/Turian with any other species, but it would be chemically possible for the two to attempt a cross bread.
Lizardviking wrote...

Could we stop the whole half-human hybrid talk!

umadbro?
jlb524 wrote...
DNA-wise, no.

But Shepard is still partially responsible for the existence of the kid. IMO, it's still hers.

^ This.
She's still one of the parents since she was required as one half of the requirements for the conception.

I'd be best friends with Garrus and go pay Harkin a visit. And let's not forget the 'romance Liara' part <3

Live a normal life I guess, nothing too fancy. Though I would definitely date an asari :pinched:

If anything goes somehow then that asari would be Liara naturally. Though currently she's, as we humans say, taken...

At least Garrus´ romance was relatively easy to avoid. There it was you who had to initiate it not the other way around (yes, I´m looking at you KellyImage IPB).

Kelly is easy to not trigger since I hated her and treated her like pond scum the one time I talked to her. As for Jacob I just didn't talk to him and pushed him in front a rocket at the end of the game.

Everyone else you just avoid the obvious "Let's bang" line.

Edit: No top from me since I'm over my bandwidth until the 8th.

I just hate that in order to get Kelly in ME3, I have to bring her up to my cabin. And to get the friendship version of that means I can't even flirt for kicks. I need to pick "specific" dialogue options, and hope to god nothing happened up there, because it's a complete unknown to me.
