That has never been detailed in any lore or dialogue. All we know is that she had been researching/exploring Prothean ruins for 50 years when Shepard rescues her from the bubble, and she was 106 at the time.
Edit: As doozer noted, you can get a close guess from her ME3 notes, but it still doesn't say for sure.

Nah that is how they are going to portray Ashley who will become the "movie cannon" romance to appeal to wider audiences 

Naah they will most likely kill off Ashley since badass, strong sort of masculine women always die in Hollywood flicks (Michelle Rodriguez anyone??). No, what I fear is that Miranda will become the "Alice" of the ME movies (yes, I´m sure they will make more than one).

Anyway, they should just stay away from the story in the games. But when has any film production company ever listened to the fans of the games they so enjoy make crappy movies about??

I don't know for sure, but from her terminal messages, I'd guess like around 2174....9 years before Shep meets her.

As every people here, I'm particularily fond of Liara, and I think she is a great character. And as a great character (and lovely character), I think she deserved something more than being stranded on a strange eden-world, far from her FemShep (because Shepard can only be a woman, every other interpretation is only heresy).

So I've drawn some fan art with my little talent, hope you'll appreciate it (as I said, little talent, and i'm just discovering my new graphic tablet so, double win ^^).

Ill take the bondmates line/hesitation/ quick knowing smile sequence when saying 'goodbye' to her as a proposal.  ...*sighs* shep will need to dig around the rubble for a decent ring when she heals up.  or melt down a piece of harbingers plating and forge them in the fires of mount doom!  Two rings to rule the kings of man and Asari! ...and oh wait... damn it

I kinda have to concur on the mammalian-likeness of the Asari. Probably couldn't actually classify them as mammals (being alien) but they fit a lot of criteria for mammals. For example:
- It is specifically stated by Liara's father that "I didn't pop her out" when Shepard says that they'd both be classified as mothers. The wording seems to imply that asari give birth to live young, a key trait of mammals.
- The fact asari have breasts. Physiologically the breasts are there as mammary glands to produce milk for offspring. Secreting milk for offspring is another trait of mammals.

Actually many non-mammalian species produce live offspring (just like there are mammalian species that lay eggs). The only trait that seperates mammalian species from others is that they produce milk (hence, the word "mammal"). But yes, you are right; I don´t think we can use human biological terms to describe the asari, since they originated from a completely different ecology.

I can imagine Shep pacing around and talking to herself while trying to work up the nerve to propose to Liara, while Garrus is laughing at her in the background, making fun of her for being able to save the galaxy a hundred times over but havign trouble with this. Shep finally works up the nerve and then Liara comes in and proposes first with a ring, mumbling about reading up on human customs. Shepard gapes and faints, Garrus falls out of his seat laughing, and Liara is very, very, confused.

Hmm.. Asari bondmate ceremony. Or maybe a mixture?? Difficult to decide, but I wouldn´t mind seeing how most of the asari conduct their "weddings" (I think we can safely assume that they probably have just as many different ways as humans have).

LOL I could just imagine that happen. I wonder what Mordin or Tali would say in that scene.
