Yeah! Who says I don't love you? I just love Liara more, but that's to be expected.
@ jlb : Rachel Shepard is secretly hoping Liara will sweep her off her feet, and propose in human style with a rock the size of a small sun. Just don't tell Liara that.

Naah they will most likely kill off Ashley since badass, strong sort of masculine women always die in Hollywood flicks (Michelle Rodriguez anyone??). No, what I fear is that Miranda will become the "Alice" of the ME movies (yes, I´m sure they will make more than one).
Anyway, they should just stay away from the story in the games. But when has any film production company ever listened to the fans of the games they so enjoy make crappy movies about??
They don't always kill off badass woman for example:
Beatrix Kiddo
The chic from Resident Evil.
So who here hated the final goodbye with Liara? I hated it because it sounded like she was going to cry. Especially when she mentioned the blue children line.
Anyway happy pictime!

Totally hated it as an actual for real final goodbye. I understand the need to give one, in case they really don't make it back. But it's Shepard. Shepard's come back from the galactic core. The whole railroaded ending sat very badly with me.
I saw it as a sort of formality, a motion one goes through, because you just don't not do it..... Little did I know...
And then... the flashback... I had an angry tearface.
edit : Clarity

I was still pretty smiley-face when that sequence occured... because I thought for SURE there was a way to actually come back to her after the battle. Hah... seeing her flashback made me tear up majorly. When the credits rolled I seriously just broke down. Couldn't take it. This series has affected me in such amazing ways, both positive and negative. But I don't regret a second of experiencing it.

Don't you just know it? I expect you to make a super duper happy fluffy ending vid of Liara x FreckleShep, because, y'know, you gave me a hurt.

If you mean Alice from the RE movies then she doesn´t fall under the category of strong, badass, sometimes a masculine women. I read an article on it somewhere that explained how the only women to survive in action movies are usually the waif-fu (http://tvtropes.org/...php/Main/WaifFu) chick or the main character´s LI (the main character is usually always a guy). F.ex: you mention Alice as an example. Well, in the first RE movie they actually fulfill that "formula" pretty well by saving the hot chick while letting the soldier, tomboyish woman die (ironically it´s Michelle Rodriguez).
Apparentely Hollywood doesn´t like women in typical "male" roles. You know, like being a marine.
Good thing they aren´t going to portray Shepard as a female then

As hot as that would be, cannot imagine scarlett being badass enough to be shep.
Claudia Black on the other hand...
Also who would you cast to play Liara?

I think the beauty of Shepard is that there is no cannon, or any "Real" Shepard. A movie would screw that over. They've been very careful with details about Shep in various novels, comics and other media, and I hope they keep it that way. And a Femshep without Hale's voice...no no no :c
The same goes for other characters.

Ok, why do people think the so called Mass Effect movie is going to be about Shepard? It most certainly will NOT be based on the games, and for good reason.
That would be. Bad. But then...bioware thought these endings were a good idea so i don't think theyre really of sound mind and could very well be making a movie about "the shepard" ...*rolls eyes*
