Because there's no such thing as a good video game movie adaptation. We all HOPE it isn't gonna be about Shepard but at this point I don't think anyone has any trust in the decisions made by Bioware or their co-conspirators.

edit: Well I stand corrected about the premise of the movie.  Still, I have no interest in seeing a "Shepard" movie set in this universe.

Ya, I don't want to see some Gorillaloo stomping around all renegade like and playing Captain Kirk all over the galaxy. Just, no. And it's such a stupid thing to do with all the choices the game (ME1) gives you to then tell your fans and customers that all the decisions you made were all crap because we now stating mater of factly that Sheprad is a dude and a renegade douche bag marine (you know it will be renegade, paragons don't make for good movie story).

No matter what they do it will be terrible. The whole premise so far has been that regarding Shepard there is only the cannon that the player makes. Seems like we will get screwed on that one too.

In a Movie ? Oh NO... nonono dont really want to see a "real" Liara. They couldnt find the perfect Model. (and i dont really want to see a maleshep making out with her, no offense *g*)



But im not really informed about the setting and stuff. Is there a chance for a Liara to appear in it ?

Why not? Well maybe they could add Miranda in as the film's sex symbol and then that could spice things up.  I really believe that Liara is the one they would choose because she's an alien and this is a science-fiction movie. It would certainly compliment the exotic and mysterious backdrop of space and the future. You might say Tali is an alien, so my argument is invalid. However, Tali is wearing a suit and mask so it's not really easy to portray her as an appealing leady lady. Unlike the Asari, they're already known as one of the "hotties" of the galaxy (Pardon me for the lack of a better term). Plus, I believe this movie will cater more to a mainstream audience instead of the core fans. I think they made that perfectly clear by choosing to establish their own Male Shepard.

Yeah, no thanks.  I'm perfectly fine with her being romanced by other Shepards within the context of the game, but on the big screen?  No thanks...

Though if there's not gonna be a Joker, then there's a fair chance there won't be a Liara, either.

If they do adapt ME to the big screen, I doubt you'll be seeing Shepard doing aliens. I think they want the standard human male and human female relationship, because it's considered less weird and Kirkish. Instead, Liara will just remain the friend with a crush.

Of course, they will have the general audience in mind instead of the "original" fans. That´s the reason why most of not all videogame-to-movie adaptions have been so bad so far: They were never intended to please the fans of the videogames. But still; they should have considered the fact that those who first and foremost will watch these movies ARE the fans.
