I don't think Jessica Merizan is actually on the development team, she's a community person thingamajig like Chris Priestly. But yeah, it does give hope for those of us who wanted a ending where the crew are still together.

I swear, this thread grew 2 pages while I was trying to catch up! Anyways..

Personally I couldn't care less about this clarification DLC..whatever it is.

The fact they have to release a free dlc months after the game is released to even have the ending make sense to most people, proves it's a halfarsed end to begin with, not that the clarification is going to make it any more decent.

I don't care what happens after the reapers are gone, that's for people to work out themselves, build their own story. Nor do I see how an epilouge will help clear up the gaping plotholes and breaking of characters. Atleast with the current ending you can fill in the blanks yourself, to an extent, like that epilouge generator linked here a few pages back. By tacking on more to the already stained product it can only get worse. I don't see much good comming out of this, and I would've been fine with nothing instead.
I've made my peace with the wrap-up of ME3, it's suppressed and overwritten by my own ending.
I'd like to keep it that way..

And the worst part is, to see this new stuff, we most likely have to play throug the end once more *sigh*

JessicaMerizan @MrBlazenGlazen yes but with some sacrifices depending on the end you chose. Ending is never perfect but Shep/crew reunited is possible

My Shepard pretty much only had the one option. Since he wasn't going to kill the geth plus edi. And the " No Shepard, you are the reapers. Then Shepard was the reapers." wasn't appealing either. Plus he was pretty sure Liara used the whole gift thing as an excuse to create a budling.

Yeah....if the ending is to be taken at face value (no indoctrination) which seems to be the case.

Well, if you want to see it that way it's entirely up to you. Liara in my RP wouldn't want to make orphans out of any children from her union with Shepard, and she didn't even know if she would make it out alive. The little blue children was a carrot, incentive to come back, for both of them. It would have worked too, if Bioware didn't suddenly go hipster on us.

And I will say again, Jessica isn't on the dev team. She's a community manager, she wouldn't be privy to any actual development/story things. Unless someone tells her, and even then she shouldn't be telling people. Unless it's all approved and all that.

But again, I'll believe those words when I see what she said actually happening.

I don't like control because the Reapers are still around...eff them.  Who's to say Shepard can maintain control forever and the cycle will never happen again?

And blow their artistic integrity out of the water by doing that? They can do whatever they want, I finished the ME story at ME 3.

Well technicaly she's not lying....if your Shep survives (rubble breath) there is a chance that reunion might happen. I doubt they are going to show that though...or explain how it will be possible! <_<
