Don't worry about that. The entire ME series ended up in that same plothole. As a matter of fact, if Shepard picked the red ending with 5k+ EMS, he/she somehow survived the destruction, in which case he/she would also be in the same plot hole. Happily ever after anyone?

I had +5,5k EMS and I chose destruction but my shepard didn't survive WHY?

Because Bioware doesn't want you to get happy! I think by now that's fairly obvious, isn't it?

Has anyone else heard of the bug regarding Liara's romance in Mass Effect 3? Even if you rekindle the romance in LotSB, she still says "it's been years" after you're reunited and decide to pursue a relationship...

I really, really pray they make a patch for this

EA/Bioware sure knows how to keep the buzz up. As long as there's hope for more closure and maybe a sorta kinda happy ending with or without blue babies, I'll keep holding on.

I'll try in the mean time to keep my EMS above 7K we never know

EW loves the card game Mille Bornes and yelling "Coup-fourré!" That made Liara giggle as Shepard looked like a little girl as she dropped the Driving Ace card on her Accident card. Liara isn't competitive over that "silly driving game" ... but quarto she is deadly serious.

When the crucible fired, the entire ME galaxy got sucked into that one giant galactic plot hole, the mass relays followed just moments later, at about the same time as Liara and Shepard fell into the plot hole. So they're all rebuilding the galaxy (with the relays) and living happily ever after, just in another dimension now. And it fits the space magic theory perfectly.

If you think about it, Bioware have been subtly undermining Shepard x Liara since the beginning!

Bioware had Joker spy on Shep x Liara in ME 1, and break it up whenever they were getting to the sexytimes. And then Joker purposely drives fast so they get to the Mu Relay, preventing Shep from getting round 2 from Liara.


Then in ME 2 they kill Shep, can't really top that. But then they give Liara a sad. Unforgiveable sin! And they give the couple no sexytimes. Well, there is LOTSB, but that's DLC.


Then in ME 3, they kill Shep again! And then they throw Liara to some obscure corner of the galaxy. To Planet Plothole, in fact. And Liara has a sad, again. Because she has to mourn Shep again.

Tricksy Bioware!

Indeed it does. And then Shepard and Liara are gonna explore the galaxy for a while, before picking the finest garden world, with a nice mountain lake, to settle down on. And they're gonna have all the pals close by, so if anyone comes by asking for the galaxy to be saved again, the gang can flip them the bird, and ask the petitioner to find some new goddamn heroes.
