You mean the Liara/Shepard relationship? People notice, or at least some do. Like if you've been friendly with the two different possible romance interests (in the case of Femshep its Kaidan and Liara) you get a conversation where you basically have to "choose" because they notice your interest in the other and ask about it.

Kaidan and Ashley is something I just knew I had to work in when I heard a particular conversation. For some reason its one I just can't seem to find on youtube between femshep and Ashley. Its that "letters from home" conversation you have; if you're male Shepard theres a comment where you overhear a message where her sister says something about how cute Shepard is. But if you're femshep her sister says something like "I saw that Kaidan guy on a vid, he's cute" to which Ashley just deadpans "Let's pretend this never happened". And you have the option to say "you interested in the Lieutenant, Chief?" If you've already rejected Kaidan yourself she makes a comment along the lines of "Fraternisation is against regulations, Ma'am. Don't ask, don't tell." Based on that I just knew I had to add a little something in there to show friendship and hint at possibly a little more.

Mhmm, I remember that little Kaidan one. Well, it only happened once. And he got atomised after, so there wasn't that much awkwardness. At least... uh.. not among the living.

And that's a nice take on their relationship, could just be friendship, and Ash is pretty torn up over Kaidan, or it could have been the beginning, and Ash is still pretty torn up. Or vice versa, you understand.

They think that its Saren using Sovereign but they also know its Sovereign that actually causes the indoctrination itself.

And I'm not sure if Wrex wasn't a liiiittle bit OOC, though in light of his
comments towards Liara in ME3 it might actually just be a side
of him we didn't get to see that much in ME1.

A bit of that coupled with the whole thing with his own father is what I was going for. Remember that having to face and fight his own father left him jaded about his entire species; which is why he's a mercenary now. Regardless of how he tries to play it off his reaction shows that the whole thing hit him hard, and I think that the parallels of Liara/Benezia with what happened to him would bring that to the fore again.

Thats what I was going for anyways. My awful writing may or may not get that across. I considered making an explicit reference to it but it seemed inappropriate. I guess its not helped by the fact that many people haven't played the first game in a long time.

But that's all just nitpicking, really.

I don't think the Mass Effect 1 thing lets you put freckles in unfortunately, though my Shep is red hair/green eyes so thats a common combination for freckles. I guess subconsciously I've always had the idea of very faint freckles on my Shep.

Well thats the big question isn't it? Heh.

Put simply I've got maybe one or two side-quests left to finish and then I'm onto Virmire. From there I have to do a run through of that and through the subsequent lockdown and so on right up to Ilos. Then I have to write it. Theres a LOT that goes on there so its likely to be longer than the others and so take longer to write in terms of raw content. Although I've got one or two scenes in my head already.

That said this last one took a very long time because I was desparate to get the emotions very precise in it. The tone had to be perfect for what I wanted or it wouldn't work so I obsessed quite a bit. So the next probably won't take quite as long in terms of time per word.

The other side of this is that its Easter weekend and I've actually taken next week off work. So I should have a decent amount of time to work on getting it done. Regardless I can't promise anything but I should have the time to get stuff done a little faster.

No, I think there are very faint freckles though. Can't really remember. Just say Cerberus put them on as part of the skin graft later.

Well I believe that the Lazarus project might've increased Shep's lifespan for possibly two centuries.
Liara could might as well be a Matron when Shepard dies (if his lifespan was increased), so she may be able to cope with his death, as she would have matured. Because in Redemption, it shows that she did no take it easily and still missed Shepard, that's why she recovered his corpse.
