Sounds like your Shepard is a lot like my angry single femShepard in ME2.  I do think Anderson trusted Shepard, he didn't trust Cerberus and that is why he didn't tell you everything you wanted to know.  Anderson also stone-walled the VS when they asked about Shepard.

I just feel that it makes for a more satisfying story if Shepard and Liara clashes against each other on Illium, both of them love each other. But due to their viewpoints, they end up fighting.

It also makes LOTSB even carthatic.

True on that.  Same can be said about the Miranda/Jack fight after doing their LM.  If you pick Jack, you can get Miri to come around later if your paragon is high enough.  I had to do that a few times.  First time on accident.  Rest of the time because it makes a better story.

I agree, that's why I made Shepard so "b*tchy" at first and giving Liara a tantrum about being so cold because in the end the kiss at the end of LotSB gives this sense of pure love through reconciliation.

The pragmatic approach, what I expect from a Renegade. Not shooting your friends in the back..

What do you mean?

Veronica's more Renegade leaning but wouldn't do that...especially not with Liara.

Hell, she'd take Liara's side even if she was wrong XD

Indeed.

So yes. My Shepard was too self absorbed while Liara was too cold and distant.

But in the end they both overcame these flaws and reunited again!<3

And with that I will say goodnight Liara-thread, you guys are the best!

Sorry, that was a meta comment about Shepard in ME 3 renekilling all friends who stand in their way.

And.. yes... to a certain extent. Liara is definitely the asari who would launch 1,000 ships. Or to fit with modern times, 1,000,000 ships.

Damn, I didn't get You worried about me line from Shepard when Liara asks if Shepard was okay on the Geth dreadnaught.

This non-import run sucks. All the good lines are with an import. Well, except for Aethyta. Paragon Liara and she still says to Liara about how they look at each other and is surprised panties haven't caught on fire.

OMG, Aethyta, I love you. Glad your Liara's dad.

1. When did your Shepard first fall for Liara?

Not long after Nora Shepard and Liara whacked Benezia.  It was eating Nora up from the inside to know that Liara was there to witness her mother's demise, nevermind the fact that they were just barely beginning to understand just what Indoctrination was.

Liara's sorrow reminded Nora of someone she knew when she was growing up on the streets and bit by bit, Liara's sincerity slowly, but eventually worked its way past all the barriers she always erected between herself and others.

2. Did you romance Liara on your first playthrough?

Yes.  I played femshep and as much as I would have loved to see femshep and Ashley get it on, it was not meant to be.  Kaidan, while a nice guy, seemed a bit too condescending to my Earthborn femshep.  She took it kinda personally and shot him down.  She still considers herself straight (though she wonders why she needs to bring that up) since she has fond memories of peeking at the guys in the showers while she was in basic... almost got kicked out because of it. :P

3. How did your Shepard feel about Liara's treatment of Shep on Illium? (pre-LotSB)

When she heard Liara threatening to flay the man alive with her mind, it scared her.  She was all, "Who are you?! What did you do with Liara?!"

4. What did your Shepard tell Liara about how she/he felt in the cabin convo after LotSB? Worried/Hpeful/Frustrated?

Frustrated, but still insistant to start a family with Liara.  She wants those blue babbies and children.

5. Did your Shepard visit Liara before going back to Earth to stand trial?

Of course!  And there was much pre-parting Shagging!

6. Who are Liara's closest friends in your headcanon?

Garrus, Tali, and Ashley.

7. How many blue babies should there be? None? One? Five?

Two.  Athame and  Azriel,

You only get that if you romanced Liara in ME1.  I miss it with the other Shepard(s) that didn't romance her back then.  :pinched:

Ohoho, what a payoff for being loyal!(And going with Liara in ME 1) That's such a sweet scene.

Yes yes, I'm sure it is. ;)

Still, isn't Liara just the luckiest gal? Her gal/guy unites the galaxy just for her.

Yeah.  I don't see Liara as a prude concerning sex or anything but she seems to be the type of person that really doesn't require a relationship (either romantic or just sexual) to be happy...so she doesn't actively search for them like most people.  Considering how private and guarded she is as a person, I'd say she's happier alone than in a relationship that she feels won't go anywhere or doesn't mean anything to her.  Basicaly, she's definitely not a casual sex/casual romance type of person.  I just have a hard time seeing her get with anyone without getting to know them very very well.  With Shepard, Liara melded with her of course and then looked her history up.  I also felt they spent a lot of time together at first since Shepard would have had to train Liara in order for her to fit into the squad.   There was also chemistry there and they just...worked.  I still think even with Shepard, Liara was a bit restrained at first and didn't want to reveal much about herself.  I remember in the first ME1 conversation, Shepard asked Liara about herself and Liara deflected, eventually turning the conversation to Shepard.

I agree, Liara always struck me as the type that needs to trust someone before getting romantically involved with them. Things jsut clicked between her and Shepard and I think that's why she got so freaked out at first. I personally never thought Liara had moved on with Feron but I did have my Shep ask. Despite the fact that she knew from their kiss during their reunion on Illium that Liara still had feelings for her and she just had to wait it out, my Shepard was still a little overwhelmed by what Liara had done on the off chance that she could be resurrected by Cerberus and just before inviting Liara up to the Normandy for drinks her insecurities got the best of her for her a moment and she couldn't help herself and had to ask. My Shepard may be confident in everything else but she's wasn't very confident about her relationships during ME2 thanks to the whole dying and coming back to life thing, especially after the encounter on Horizon with Kaidan where her best friend called her a traitor.

It's actually better if you pick the 'you cant give up' renegade line in this sequence. Liara says 'it's' difficult seeing you get shot at out there.'

Renegade does have it's perks..:innocent:It is also much better in french.

Has anyone noticed (and no, it's not an attck on fshep.) the influx of freckleshep/liara? I swear it's the colour thing..

Makes sense.

Though, I wonder if I'm the only person that doesn't ask about Feron?

He's just not on any of my Shepard's radar as far as someone they should be concerned about.

I think I asked my first pt just to see what happened, but after that I never did...not in character.

Veronica worries that Liara would run off with another asari b/c she thinks the asari are the best thing ever XD

I love Aethyta as Liara's father and I wanted more interaction between Liara and Aethyta just to see Liara get flustered. I bet Shepard would find it interesting since Aethyta manages to get Liara flustered and riled faster than anybody else has since Shepard first met her.

I'm betting Aethyta has some embarrassing photos of young Liara.

I dunno, Benezia sent them to her.

That's in my headcanon now.

lol, angry biotic slap from Liara.

See? Not so good an idea to pinch Liara's bottom in public.
