TIM and the SB were two of the most dangerous persons in the galaxy and rivals. When Shepard kills him and replace him with one of his most beloved, TIM wins. He knows where the SB is and knows nearly everything about her. After killing Liara he would be the best "Broker" in the galaxy.

So putting them in the right places sounds like a good theory.

TIM might try and kill Liara, but that would be the last mistake he ever makes.  Liara might lose the SB base, but if she gets the intel to help Shepard, I doubt she will care at that point.  This is especially true if Liara is Shepard's LI which is mostly likely those that post here.

Don't get me wrong, I'm the last person who wants that Liara gets in serious danger and I would be especially pi**ed when TIM is the one responsable for that.

But maybe his plan was to establish a more open and well known SB to hold her at bay when the time comes.

Nothing's as good as a picture of Liara


Yeah on all of my 8 playtroughs on Mass Effect2 ,before infos of Mass Effect 3 came around, I wans't sure if TIM and Cerberus are just really evil or like paragade. TIM is very charismatic so it was a gamble for me to figure out how he really was.

If somebody tries to hurt Liara in my playthrough. I will undoubtetly pick the renegade interupt on them the second it appears.

Sure. I want scenes to be more dynamic. It's one of those areas where ME2 made great improvements. Hopefully ME3 will make an even greater jump.

Shepard may be technologically enhanced, but if someone tried to hurt Liara, I think my Widow would do more damage. Or I'd let Liara handle it, because she's pretty capable.

Now imagine if when you clicked for the renegade interrupt you ended up hitting Liara too.

Shepards renegade interrupt was so violent and powerful that did she/he did a full 360 punch, punching everyone within the vicinity and end up with Shepard punching him/herself in the face and knocking themselves out.
