If you mean by "Conrad's mission" you mean telling him to screw off, then yeah i did! What does Conrad have to do with Liara anyway?

Is Conrad her dad?

In ME2, Conrad is talking to the Bartender on Illium. That's Liara's Dad.

[Edit] If you talked to Liara's Dad in ME2, did you play LotSB? Maybe that's what triggers that scene?

Anyway, I talked to the Asari bartender in ME2 and of course i played the Shadow Broker DLC!
Don't know what i did wrong.

For some people there are a specific chain of actions to follow, apparently. When you first get to roam the Presidium, talk to Liara, then talk to Barla Von, leave the commons, come back and apparently she'll be there.

I never noticed what I did before, but then I saw I could order a drink after a while so I just tried it out, and then boom, I was talking to the in-law.

Doesn't get much more awkward than that.

edit : Has anyone else been having trouble logging in to Origin today? Completely irrelevant to Liara yes, sorry, but I haven't seen any threads or discussion on this.

Hmm I didn't know that there were specific chain of actions?  

Oh and I have no problems with logging in Origin today.

You said you talked to Liara but did you talked to the asari bartender? if you did conrad's mission in ME2 and did LotSB, Liara's father will appear as a bartender after Liara gives you the fetch side quest with Varla Von

Like I said, I'm not entirely sure on this, because I didn't realise Aethyta was there until a bit later. Maybe even until just before Priority : Rannoch. Or was that after the coup? I don't know, I found Aethyta pretty late-ish I guess. I spent hours on the Citadel just going between locations so I could eavesdrop on everyone. Stupid design, having to leave the area or begin a conversation with someone/thing in order to hear the next part.

I think some of the saddest dialogue can be heard on the Embassy level. And then there's that private who wanted to face the Reapers instead of Cerberus. I only discovered her brother's datapad in my second playthrough, but I haven't really gotten to her part yet, I wonder if Shepard has anything to add, or if she just... listens.. like a creepy stalker?

She's picked up some skills from Liara, that's for sure.

And I don't know if it's just my uni network that's on the fritz today then. Steam's working fine, so far as I can see.

I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one to notice, but why are Liara's boobs so big? And then FemShep(?) conveniently gets the armour(Hahne-Kedar? I just remember it as the one that ups weapon damage, I think...) that looks protective, and very figure unflattering. *shrugs* Not that I'm saying it's bad art, just making an observation.

I like the looks as they are now though, an appearance pack (I've never bought one) would need some radically different looks to interest me.

Yes, perhaps I should have clarified that bit. What I meant to say was that I only met Aethyta after stuffing about for a while, and after the coup everything changes. Although I found it awkward that we had the little talk with Liara while there was still smoke and bullet holes all over the place, and she says that it's beautiful out here. Woman spent too much time digging around Prothean ruins.

She grabbed her hanar plushie; it gave her courage to slowly approach the door of her room. The door creaked as she carefully pushed it open. Half of the kitchen wall had crumbled, revealing the devastation beyond it, she wasn’t sure if this was reality. Something moved in the corner of her eye.

She saw a dark figure crouched outside. ”Mom..?” The figure slowly rose and turned to face the sound it heard. Its dark eyes, a void to nothingness, stared at the child. Something once so beautiful, now just a husk of flesh.

It… she, broke free from the grasp of darkness, connected to her child for a split second.

”I love you so mu...” the pain was unbearable, the mind had gone, succumbed to the unknown power.
She let out a chilling, hollow scream. It was all she could get out anymore.
She was trapped inside her twisted, mangled body and mind.

The creature slowly drifted towards the child and lifted its arm, forming a burning ball of biotic force.
“Please, run…” whispered the mind that nobody could hear anymore.

Having fun easter eggs in the background for secondary characters is fine; the pregnant couple from ME1, the drunk Turian captain from Chora's Den - that is all fine! It's not really necessary for the story, it's just, well, fun easter eggs!

Where i draw the line is when they do it with a major character: This hidden Liara content that, even though i romanced her for all three games, am not allowed to witness unless i follow a strict path through the games! (Which includes stupid timed "eaves-dropping" events!)

That is bull**** imho!

Oh, I'm sure they'll have alt-appearance packs again for the squad mates.  Don't really like that armor on Liara but we'll see what they come up with...I don't know if I'll buy any DLC at this point though.

In that moment you hear "GAAAAAAAAAH" and Shepard comes out from nowhere with a biotic charge and strikes the banshee with such force that half its face is burned off, as the body is hurled away into a wall, followed by the wall falling down on top if it.

THAT'S the kind of Shepard I know - the one that, when offered to save the collector base for future development, told TIM to frick off, the one that got everyone out alive, because he is Commander Shepard - the greatest hero ever.
Not the one that accepts everything a kid tells him, not the one that accepts that 3 suicidal choices are all he's got, not the one that gives up.

Liara can appreciate the beauty in even the ugliest view. Why do you think she's still with half of jlb's Shepards?

Also, banshees can't kill their own kids because banshees are made from AY and all AY are sterile. Immersion: broken.

I can answer since I made it:  it's on Palaven but Garrus must be dead in order for you to see it. 

It's at the end of the mission and after seeing what the Repears did to Palaven, Liara becomes worried for Thessia (since she knows they aren't prepared either).  

Shepard re-assures her and Liara smiles like that.

That's a buttload of AY that they transformed. Every single AY in the asari race got bansheefied? That kinda conveniently wipes the slate clean for them.
So, AY just kill their nieces instead. Space Magic equilibrium restored.

How does the mission exactly play out if Garrus is dead? Sounds like Liara is still your squadmate, how much alternative dialog is there for them?
