So... Liara's still with 1.5 Shepards? I'm confused.

Does she like the lower half, but hate the upper half? Or something like that?

No, 1.5 are ugly while 1.5 aren't....Liara is with the 1.5 ugly ones in spite of them being ugly.

So, one is half ugly and half not ugly...I think.

After further clarification:

Two are ugly.

How does the mission exactly play out if Garrus is dead? Sounds like Liara is still your squadmate, how much alternative dialog is there for them?

She pretty much talks when Garrus would have talked if he was alive.   So she has a bit more at the end of the mission.

The thing on the Normandy still happens but Liara doesn't leave.

Really, it was just an excuse to get Liara out of the squad for that mission.

@jlb nah, see Butterface is a butterface so Liara likes her body but her face provides complications. Owen Wilson Shepard is bad all around and Ronnie is a sexy beast. 1.5.

Ah, so one's a regular Two Face? Liara must get freaked when that one starts flipping coins.

It could've been solved so easily by just sending James back to the ship... BioWare hates logic though

What reaction does she have when you get to see the bright burning spot on Palavan (where Garrus mentions that he was born there)? And what does Shepard say when Joker radios in about EDI acting weird?

And yeah. I love how Shepard sends Liara back to check on the ship, yet Liara does nothing at all to solve the problem.

I didn't make Owen but stole the face code.  You can make fun of her all you want.

Butterface is special to me though...special!

Liara wonders what Garrus would be doing if he were still alive.  Shepard said that he'd be angry and in the thick of battle or something like that.

She's the one that mentions the bad blood between the krogan/salarians/turians in banter with James, etc.

Shepard really doesn't say anything memorable to Joker...she was like, 'okay'.

They wanted to give him at least one mission before everyone just shelves him for good.

To be fair, I do think Liara might just be slightly more technical minded than James is. Though I wonder why Shepard could not simply just ask someone on the ship to take a look. instead of sending Liara back.

Video game logic! :wizard:

We should have been allowed to chose that for ourselves. I don't really see why James would be necessary for that mission, Liara was necesary for Mars to flow but James is not with Palaven.

Stupid design, having to leave the area or begin a conversation with someone/thing in order to hear the next part.

I belive you can quicksave/quickload to trigger the next parts of the conversations aswell. It's still clunky, but a timer saver atleast.

It, whatever it was,
forced her to watch what she did to her child. She could only cry. She
had no control. Breaking her mind and will, she lost her only reason to

Surrendering to the control of the old machines, she only saw darkness… and felt pain.
Long, hollow scream of grief echoed the walls...

As if the picture wasn't tragic enough itself, you just had to rub it in D:
Neatly written though.

And on the banshee topic, In the artbook is says something about them being Asari matriarchs, aswell as YA's. Might be a slip up though, unless stated elsewhere.

To be fair, it did allow for Vega to start his buddy budding with Garrus. And give new players an insight in what's going on through James.
It's alittle sad his main purpose is to be the uninformed one, so people not familiar to the franchise can get the rundown through him.

Edit: Oh oh! Happy birthday Shepard!

I trust Liara more when it comes to ship repair then James.

I think Garrus is alive in default, so no.

What part of the game is that?

I can answer since I made it:  it's on Palaven but Garrus must be dead in order for you to see it.

It's at the end of the mission and after seeing what the Repears did to Palaven, Liara becomes worried for Thessia (since she knows they aren't prepared either).

Shepard re-assures her and Liara smiles like that.

Yeah...well, we know how that goes...

MaroAlighieri wrote...
Liara can appreciate the beauty in even the ugliest view. Why do you think she's still with half of jlb's Shepards?

I only have three Shepards... :wizard:

Thanks. Dam I wish I saw that. I don't have a playthrough with Garus dead....It's nearly worth it to see that. :-(

Yes i talked to her in Presidium Commons. At least when she didn't just say "Hello Shepard."

If you mean by "Conrad's mission" you mean telling him to screw off, then yeah i did! What does Conrad have to do with Liara anyway?

Is Conrad her dad?

You said you talked to Liara but did you talked to the asari bartender? if you did conrad's mission in ME2 and did LotSB, Liara's father will appear as a bartender after Liara gives you the fetch side quest with Varla Von

You don't need to do any of the Conrad quests at all. I never did, not even in ME1, and I can chat with Aethyta in ME2 and ME3 just fine.

It seems that since I started actually getting a decent amount of sleep I'm dreaming again. Unsurprisingly its been a lot of Mass Effect stuff given how much my mind has been on ME. X-D

Maybe it'll even give me ideas for fanfic stuff.

Anyway, to cheer everyone up after that very depressing thing on the other page...little blue baby!

No, Arcataye just pulled a Dan Abnett and killed Bragg and Corbec in one book. Sorry, I mean Arcataye wrote a depressing short story, accompanying a depressing picture.

I'll even use one of my 1.5 hot Shepards.

I completed Virmire yesterday and made a start on the next part, so...probably sooner rather than later. And I already got a ton of the finale for ME1 written down from when I was first struck by inspiration a couple weeks ago.

As far as the dream inspiration goes...probably not usable for this kinda stuff but maybe for some additional odds and ends. At the moment I'm just fitting scenes in and around the actual conversations to expand and elaborate upon what already happens rather than adding in anything major like extra unseen missions or anything. Maybe in the future though.

I have to say that from what I remember of the dream from last night theres definitely something to it. I might well try and do something with it, though I should probably make a note before I forget. Might have to bounce ideas off people on them ones though, dreams are tricky things.
