Beautiful pic!
I think I like the blue picture better then the purple one :)

Beatiful indeed, but hey! my mind is very dirty... what the hell is happening in there, it looks like someone is doing "something" on Shepard´s pelvis.

There were several times in ME2, I wanted to comment back on and wasn't given that option. Like when Anderson said Shepard couldn't trust Cerberus. I wanted to say, "I don't, Councilor." Same with VS on Horizon. Which that was a little longer than getting ****ed at by either Kaidan or Ash.

I wanted to come back to Aria when she told my femShep, she needed a man, I was like "NO, I don't. I have Liara once we have time to get back together."

Defending Benezia would have been another one too.

This

I wanted also to respond to Kasumi for her 'used to be an item' comment with a what do you mean 'used to'  reply or a simple slap on the head.

Oh crap, I totally forgot that line from Kasumi and yes I would have said this.  "Ah, we are still an item, Kasumi."

Or just say this:

Benezia and Aethyta were awfully old to have a daughter. The green Asari in ME said she was at Benezias feet for 200 years.Liara is 108.So does Liara have any sisters or half sister running around the universe? As far as Aethyta being vocal about "That screwup with Saren"we are always hardest on the ones we love. And Liara started working not fighting or shaking her booty in a bar,so it looks like a little of Aethyta rubbed off on Benezia.

I think Liara made that decision on her own to go study on a university at a very young age.
And I think Liara would have mentioned any sisters by now, but I would never say never, maybe we are in for some surprises in ME3. ^_^

I want to believe that the "screw up with Saren" comment is more about the bitterness Aethyta feels for the asari.
If they weren't so damn diplomatic, Benezia could still be alive.

Agree.  Liara even said she rebelled against her mother.  Shepard make the exact comment Benezia did when she told Shepard that.

I think the asari might have only one or two children.  Samara had three and they seemed like a happy family until they found out about the ardat-yakshi trait.  Then that ended the happy family.

Nassana Dantius has Shepard kill her sister.  I think each asari are different.  Some just mate with someone and they are not a couple which leave only the one parent.  Which according to Liara is not that uncommon.  Others have a commented relastionship.  I think that is what Liara wants with Shepard.  A long term relastionship.

Liara's expression is kind of indifferent here, so I am not sure if she is watching a recording of:
1. Shepard cheating on her
2. Her and SHepard's sex tape
3. or just some random porn

The pic is still beautiful regardless :)

I don't think they said how many but Nassana had the one Shepard killed, plus she was afraid her "sisters" were going to have here killed. We really need more info on the Asari.Like a National Geo special,or soap opera"Long life to live"or even Fornax letters.

I think that given the events which occurred in ME2 and the DLC including  Liara's comments about being uncomfortable in a dependent position with Shepard suggest that at least some of Liara's motives regarding Shepard were to elevate herself to a level of equality with Shepard in order to be the person who can be in a lasting relationship. So yes I do think Liara has a lasting relationship on her mind. I think Shepard does as well.

[/quote]I didn't get her being uncomfortable when talking to Shepard.  Unless you are referring to the first interrupt on the balcony after defeating Vasir where Liara comments about how Shepard fought a korgan battlemaster while she cowered.  "And now you're doing it again and I'm still leaning on you for help."  Shepard's comment was that is what friends do, Liara.  Too bad Liara walked off and never comment on that.

As far as my femShep is concerned, they are equals.  She knows she could not have defeated Saren without Liara.  She also knows she can't defeat the reapers without Liara's help.

I do see where you are coming from.

At that point in the DLC, Liara is still focused on getting Feron and paying back the Shadow Broker.  To me, both Shepard and Liara get snippy with each other during the balcony scene.  Faithful or not.

Yes I do also think that Liara wants a long term relationship with Shepard. I am not entirely sure about other asari or how many children they have. On Illium you meat an asari and a krogan couple (the krogan is reading aweful poetry) and the asari states that  "krogans live long, but with humans you can just wait out a century, no offense" That being said, I would like to add that asari live very long they might have a relationship till their partner passes away, then they will probably get into another one. It's complicated, just like human relationships, it's just asari live ten times as long as humans :)

Back to the topic of Liara, I think Liara's case is special, she and Shepard could have many kids and she will most likely not get into other relationships again, like her mother (as far as we know anyway). And since Shepard is altered he/she will live longer then an average human making Liara one happy asari. ;)

Actually you're right, those are just Liara's fingers.
The term "Liara watches you sleep" comes to mind... it's a bit unsettling.
I think Shepard needs to drag Liara out of SB base more often ;)

I choose the first and the second one, because her face shows happyness and a bit of sorrow and sadness, is bittersweet.

@ ladyvader;

Onboard the Normandy Liara when Liara was a squadmate she was also in some respects a subordinate regardless of how Shepard viewed her. Shepard has always seen Liara as an equal but it would seem Liara had some issue with being in a role of subordinate or dependent or she would not have made the statement she did on Azure about leaning. I think her comment reveals much about her motives regarding her relationship with Shepard and may be at the heart of why she opts to become the SB. So she can meet Shepard on equal ground, eye to eye. I think having accomplished that goal for herself she and Shepard can move forward in a long term relationship with an oprimal chance of success as opposed to a lopsided relationship based on need, desire and dependency.

the only man to have look and speak face to face whit the real Shadows Broker, i remember Liara
speck to Shepard the idea to give your support from take information about the collector and the Reeper, and its strange look Laira and Shepard in the game play demo combact in squad, after
the dialogue from Liara to Shepard.

Actually if you look closely it's just Shepard alone in his(i think) quarters with lights shut off sitting on his bed.
Possibly having hard time sleeping with all the events that transpired?
Blaming himself on what happened on Arrival is what comes to mind.
I think Liara is happy to see Shepard but is saddened by the fact that Shepard is suffering mentally.
You're right the look is definitely bittersweet and not indifferent.
This also explains why she has the arm on the console, she wants to be with Shep at that moment ;)

I disagree.   Very much.

I don't think Liara feels the need to meet Shepard on her/his level.

She became the Shadow Broker b/c it was the most logical option to aid in the possible war against the Reapers and her relationship with Shepard had nothing at all to do with that.

This is exactly it.  I tried to get accross that Shepard is alone, can't sleep, has the feeling of the whole world on his shoulders etc.  The things he has to face, has faced, would keep anyone awake at night.  Liara is trying to be with him in the only way she can.  I just wanted to get accross that Liara cares a great deal about Shep and his suffering has an impact on her too.

There was certainly nothing sexual about it - Image IPB - still, really happy to see my painting made it over to BSN.  Somehow the thought of that made me nervous!  Cheers for any comments, good or bad.

She came a long way since ME1 and I think she actually does want to be equals with Shepard.
And she actually wanted to become the SB she says so herself.
The fact that it was the logical thing to do just goes hand in hand with it.

It's really well done you should have entered it in the SDCC fan art comp. ^_^  Hope you'll do another in future.:)

What?

Can you prove that her motives in becoming the Shadow Broker involved becoming an 'equal' to Shepard?

I've read some funny things in my days of being a Liara fan but this takes the cake.

Thank you Infoguy - I noticed the fan art comp a little too late this time around. If it happens again, i'll certainly have a go. And Mass Effect is too great a subject not to do more paintings of - the ideas are infinate. Definately going to do more as time allows :)
