I've been thinking of a possible scene after the ending, that's avaiable in Control, where Shepard has 'ascended' to a higher form of existence, and now controls the Old Machines. So, Liars goes to sleep on this tropical planet, but as she's mentioned in ME1 "The union is a bond that transcends both time and space, even after they're death, a part of our partner still lives in us" or something along those lines. So, she would talk to Shepard in her dream, their conversation will be saddening but a revelation would be made when Shepard says "By controlling the Reapers I've become both master and servant... Master of the Reapers, but servant of the pattern... The cycle will continue and the Reapers will be back in 50,000, stronger than ever" cool, eh?

Shepard just turns into a hyper-intelligent AI, not an actual god that can visit people in their dreams.

And no. That revelation would totally suck, lets no completely kill off all choices aside from destroy as undesireable?

And there's my first laugh of the day, thanks much! Sorry about the 360 (same thing happened to me a month before 3 came out) but I really enjoyed the PC experience better. The loading time alone made such a difference. Have fun!

And I am (as others have stated) optimistic about the endings. For all the crazy PR twists we've seen, I really think the fans have been heard. And I know I'm probably stepping in it by saying this ... but they'd be hard pressed to make it worse. What I mean is, they would have to actively *try* to make it worse, and I don't see that happening from people who breathed life into the characters that we love.

As for the ending, they know they can't screw up twice on this, as the backlash was huge. I remain casually optimistic, but if it does fall through, I'll just go with Shepard finding out where they went after her recovery and rescuing them. They may not change the scene at all with the stupid 3 options in the Extended Cut, but anything they add is gonna change what we can assume, even if it doesn't show us a reunion, for better or worse. That's where I stand on it and gonna hold off on any extra stuff till we see it.

Personally, I consider Indoctrination Theory to be true, for my head-canon. Or more than that, I basically just quit when I get near the end after the London chats and as far as I'm concerned, ME3 is unfinished and doesn't even have an ending. What we got is so out of character and so disconnected from the rest of the series in theme, consistency, and just...everything, that I honestly don't consider it canon. I've gotten to where I've written it off in my head as cleanly as if it was bad fanfiction I read on fanfiction.net

If the ending DLC is bad, I'll probably just continue that.

And as far as desktop backgrounds? I'm partial to this, which is what I'm using now.

I'm a fan of it for the more casual look, and the view of Illium in the background. It goes back to why I said the scene in Liara's apartment in LotSB was interesting, it's like a glimpse into just normal, casual life.

If Shepad does die, what I really want is something that'll tell Liara unambiguously that Shepard is dead, so that she'll be able to move on.

I worry that since Control and Synthesis don't leave a body, and particularly since she managed to get Shep back the first time they "died", she'll never be able to accept it fully.

@Airstobulus500, BioWare, have lose the right way take first from ME1,

i love the line made from BioWare in ME1, i love the work made by Drew Kerphyshyn,

but the team have cut some stroryline element in ME1, ME2 and ME3, all for money and time,

but BioWare have create some team for development storyline dlc and game like Galaxy,Infiltrator,the Multy Player, all this element for me have take recourses form the story,

Drew have weite the in ME2 the part about the Dark Energy, but this element efter the exit to ME for Drew the Dark Energy Theory was missed,

ME2 not is complete finished and ME3 the same,

i don't undestand BioWare, why create some new project in the ME Universe when ME Trilogy not is complete ?

why create the series first on Xbox, amd why not made all chepter in the order of 25 or 30 gb,

for offer a incredible story.

What kind of pisses me off the most about "the hero must X", is that it's complete bull****. Mass Effect isn't limited in the ways we are in this reality, so there really shouldn't be a must that you die.
Remember in Mass Effect 2, when you were spending the whole game preparing for a Suicide Mission. Everyone said there was no way in heck you'd get back alive from there, and there would be sacrifices and losses. The council didn't help, the Alliance wasn't exactly there to aid you, and all you had was a small crew. But it was your crew. They were dead set to follow Shepard to hell, and die if they had to. And you know why? Because you're Commander Shepard.
Then, when you finally reached the Collector base, victory didn't seem 100% at all, just as you'd feared. You had to split up several times, and all the consequences of your actions throughout the game were shown here. If you'd done things the right way, you could make sure they all survived to the point where you were going on the platform to the centre of the base.
You made sure your crew knew what was at stake, and also what they could accomplish if they succeeded in bringing that place down. You went into the core and defeated a Reaper, and then the Illusive Man called, saying there was another way than to destroy the base. He meant that you could spare the structure, and only kill the collectors inside, saving valuable research data... for Cerberus. You could have a major advantage against the Reapers if you did this. But you know what? You didn't. Cause you're Commander Shepard, and you're completing what you'd been sent out to do, to complete your mission and bring down that abomination of a place.
Then you made The End Run, which is one of the most powerful moments in fiction ever. The Suicide Mission Suite was going towards the end, and maing it out wasn't a guarantee... heck, it wasn't planned. "You have changed nothing..."
The crew made it on board. You were running for your life. Jump. CATCH. YOU MADE IT. AND YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE YOU'RE COMMANDER F*CKING SHEPARD, AND YOU'RE THE GREATEST HERO EVER TO HAVE LIVED. NO REAPER IN THE UNIVERSE WILL EVER BREAK YOU DOWN.
THAT is what I'm talking about. Despite all the "odds" you made it back. "I came back!" Why shouldn't you make it back from the last chapter? Why? Frigg the ones that think the current ending is even REMOTELY close to being near a worthy ending to Commander Shepard's story.

for me this is the end, the and about this Mass Effect, because for me BioWare

come to realize not more game that give the possibility to choose yuor destiny,

only come to give a pre-packed story, without choose and consequences,

and without chepter, i'm watch on IGN one article about some title based

in the ME Universe deleated by BioWare, this title was only little

part of some little story for mobile platfom, like the Rachni War,

or The First Contat War, but all of this element not have

consequences in the major story, the moajor story is ME Trilogy,

not have sense for me made some title before ME1 or during ME Trilogy,

because not is possible change the story.

Yeah! I love ME1 story and ending, It was awesome when Shep rose from the rubble with a victory smile And in ME2 when Tali talks about Dark Enegy and the Sun but in ME3 no dark energy was mentioned. I also enjoy Drew Kerphyshyn's novel Star wars The old republic: Revan, It makes my heart break when I read about Bastila and Revan but it's still better than ME3 ending a hundred times (IMO)
