Yeah, I didn't like that either. If you romanced her through all 3 games that line just makes you wonder what's going on and whether Liara has forgotten all I've said before. <_<

Really? That is rather mean then. I mean....shouldn't we get something for being faithful all the time besides a slightly changed dialogue in the love scene and gift scene?  


@Aristobulus500 I understand gameplay constraints but they should have handled it better. Even just some slight changes in dialogue and keeping the same cutscene would have been enough. Well, apparently they could add a kiss for first time Liaramancers during the date scene...why not different dialogue for long time lovers.   Now I am extremely dissapointed. <_<

Because it was rushed, unfortunately. That's all there really is to it. Of course there should've been more, probably there would've been, if the game had more time in development.

That's true.  I know that I've let a few bad guys sneak in too close and I try and zoom with my SR (habit, mostly) and wind up completely losing track of them.

As for which SR to use, I tend to prefer the Valiant.  Talk about quick reload!

As a Quarian Inf, which SR I use really depends on how quickly I need to be taking out bosses. If I do a solo run in bronze or silver I will def take a Widow, if I am playign with a full squad or a squad full of noobs, then Black Widow or Mantis. Otherwise, human inf and any other non-Soldier/Sentinel its the Carnifex. And, I'm almost always on the top of the match leaderboard with my builds, so that kind of validates my style and loadouts.

Yeah that's pretty obvious by now. This could have been such a great game... <_< half a year more or so....argh, I should not dwell on this or I just fall back into that dark pit of depression and anger that the endings threw me in some weeks ago.

That's exactly why I don't play my Asari Vanguard with the intent of using a weapon that requires time to really line up the shot. I always go into matches with my Graal Spike Thrower and M12 Locust because I like to use the stasis bubble at choke points to catch groups of enemies and then lob a lift grenade or two because it drops them all much faster than another vanguard can charge in and take them all out.

You can join the Mind Melders if you want. We have a thread with a lot of gamertags in the group. Just add everyone to your FL.
Sadly I seem to have some problems connecting and playing with people on my FL. Very frustrating. >.<

If you listen to how her dialog sounds, I get the impression she's joking. The problem is that she's not very funny. When Shepard says "Friends doesn't cut it for me anymore Liara." and she responds "Sounds serious." the tone of her comment indicates that it is some type of bad attempt at a sarcastic joke. At least that's how it sounded to me. I took video of it with FRAPS and I've watched it half a dozen times. That's always the impression I got.

but having watched both the first time romance version of that and the long term romance videos of the Citadel date with her, I found it extremely disturbing that the scene with the first time Liaramancers was actually better. In fact if you romance her there for the first time, she actually seems surprised and she acts as awkward as she did in ME1. I've always thought she pulled off "awkward but cute" better than Tali did.

I agree completely. Though the gift scene is different. She does kiss Shepard in that scene. Another difference I've noticed for first time Liaramancers in ME3 vs. long time ones is that Liara doesn't ever say: "I love you" and Shepard never says it either if the romance wasn't carried over from ME1&2. It's a small but nice touch.

Nice pic. And I agree. BioWare also stated that romances carried over from ME1 faithfully would be rewarded somehow. I've yet to see any definitive reward for being faithful.

Can do, I try to stay in cover at certain points on the map until I have to move because the enemies are in another  room or part of the map that is blocked from my view  because early on I spend my points on leveling up stasis and lift grenades which means my health and shields are low and dying can happen quick.

Really, now? I never knew this. That's actually a very nice touch. I have to give them credit for that. You do get rewarded, at least some, for being loyal to her throughout the entire series instead of just in the end.

Will she confess to loving you, if you cheated on her in 2 but went back to her in 3?

Also, how does it play out? Do they say something else instead or what?

Now this is something I can't say for certain. I've never been able to bring myself to cheat on Liara in any playthrough where I romanced her. In fact I specifically did a renegade playthrough and chose Ashley so I could do whatever and not feel bad. i'm curious about this as well if anyone has an answer for it.

I'll probably add mine to the mix once i get my vid card back. Even on this 8600GT at 1440x900 (1680x1050 native) it still has framerate issues which makes me sad. Though I'm only good with human soldiers, tried others but just can't make it work unlike I do with it.
