I've read books where there are continunity issues.  And those books were written by one person and not a team of writers.

They could have kept it simple and had fewer characters in the games, but they didn't do that.  They gave us a game so big in scope we as the players I feel really don't appreciate it.

I do not want to debate this.  Everyone has their own views.  Nothing wrong with that.

I would love for some to sit down.  Start writing a narrative with the scope of Mass Effect and see how well you do with it.  I know how hard it is.

That fanmade ending is actually really well done, especially considering what he had to work with. The walking backwards through the Citadel, back to the Relay...with the flashes of most of the squad coming up, just the same as the original game gave you, except it has more people..it's a nice touch.

But most of all what impressed me, is the basically entirely new footage. Everyone has seen fanmade videos that simply cut out parts of the ending or put in footage from earlier in the trilogy...this guy DOES that, but goes further, once Shepard leaves the Citadel. That bit with waking up to Liara staring over her, then a motion-ized form of that now pretty famous picture of Liara holding Shep at the end...it's all really impressive and took some serious work with models and such on the part of the author.

Was that perhaps made in Garry's mod or something like that? Some modelling program?

Edit - something else. Yes, the very end with it just being a death hallucination is awkward, but read the comments. It's meant to be taken as if it was multiple endings, not all 1 coherent ending. The author just didn't want to upload a bunch of different small variations.

The author even *says* that most people should probably just stop the video at the end of the segment of Liara holding Shep, for a complete ending. So I'll take that. The rest are supposed to be variations similar to what you might get for different ems scores and such.

I think some of that was done with Gary's mod, yes.

I mean, ive never used it. But ive been told that rubble picture is from Gary's mod in the past...and the models and textures do seem to have that "Gary's Mod" Type look to them.

What's depressing about that fan made ending if you ignore the weird bit at the end?

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with "depressing" if it's also well-done. As far as depressing fan made endings, the point is you consider it as one of many endings. It's a well made downer ending then just consider it an ending that happens if you don't have enough EMS.

Then well made happy endings are what happens if you have high EMS.

It would be weird, after all, if the only proposed options were "Shep/Liara run around on a nude beach", anyway, I think! The fun in Mass Effect is the variety, the scale, the options.

I mean, after all, the Suicide Mission wouldn't have been as impressive or interesting if it was impossible to get a worse or bad ending. The existance of those made the good ending even better.

You know, I'll be the first to say that many of the animations in the game blew me away with how well done they were - especially some of Liara's animations in the final romance/sex scene, but damn that animation you just posted?

Easily one of the most awkward and mechanical ones in the entire trilogy. It felt more like she suddenly felt like doing her best C-3P0 impersonation. And she's very good at it.

I wanted to use 3dMax to load up the Synthesis Liara and get a better look at what they did with her model, but man even doing that is complicated beyond belief.

No, but sometimes happily ever after, isn't.  But, she does have Shepard in the stars....

I wouldn't have had a problem with that being one of the endings if your EMS wasn't high enough but I really want Shep to be rescued by their LI and retire to some far off quite world not what we got. To be honest they have put Shepard through enough in the games that retirement with their LI of choice should be the least thing Bioware gave Shepard. And the Liara Project Scene I think was Liara's idea if they failed not if they succeeded.

Just watched that video...and...I dont like it...

Well let me rephrase that...I liked it untill around the 8:00 min mark (the ending, how ironic)

The last part dosent make sence to me, nor do I like how you die next to Anderson, when you had a scene with Liara in rubble just before....Wut? Hallucination? I hate that idea. And at least in the real Destroy ending you can still live to headcannon another day.

But Ive never liked or agreed with the idea that Shepard should wake up on Earth. I believe he is still on the Citadel. Im not going to add additional layers of assumption by beliving something like he somehow got Teleported back to Earth. But ive never been a fan of the Indoctrination Theory anyway.

but thats just my opinoin so dont go spreadin it around.
