Well, Casey Hudson has stated in the Final Hours app that he didn't want future stories set after the the events of ME3.

And then Gamble said we should keep our ME3 savegames.
I think at this point, anything can happen, but I will gladly spend more time in ME3.
Omega and Illium, I want to go back there! And give me some funny Aria and Liara dialogues. ^_^

I am afraid of what Liara will say when Aria reveals what exactly happend in between Shepard getting drunk in the Purgatory bar and waking up beside Aria.

and on an unrelated note. After seeing this I wish someone would make a Tron!Liara as well.

Finally finished my 1/2/3 run with the soldier based on jlb's facecode which inspired me to complete a run with Kaidan alive for the first and only time.

Thanks JLB, couldn't have done it without that cuteness staring at me in cutscenes.

I also discovered that once the Cerberus coup is putdown and the memorial wall makes its appearance, Sarah Williams is still standing there in games with Kaidan as the VS, but without Ashley to comfort her :crying:

Any new ME game should be set well after the events of ME3, and would probably have to pick a "canon" set of choices for Shepard.

You can't write a good story where one of both of the Geth and Quarians may or may not be dead and where the Genophage may or may not be cured. Not to mention where there may or may not be a bunch of reapers hanging around, the citadel may or may not exist and everyone may or may not have been turned into cyborgs by space magic.

edit: Is it me or does this screenshot have a trace of the old squinty eye thing?

Aria would be aweseome as a DLC squadmember (Aria/Liara squad <3)...but I guess the other party member would be mostly silent like in LotSB.

in this case i'm never come to take and play this game, not its possbile for me made a conon story, bacuse the Mass Effect its based on choice, its based on your choice, this deleated all choice take in this troligy.

edit:@Francesco  They needed to respect your choices for the duration of the trilogy.  But the trilogy is over now.  Shepard's story is done.

Attempting to stuff all those various choices into a new game would end up doing far more disservice to them than would be done by picking one.  Because what they'd have to do if they don't pick a canon would be to effectively make it so that all the choices you made didn't really matter anyway.

Of course, there is the option of letting the series rest in peace.  I'm fine with that.

I don't know, they could record squadmate dialogue for the Omega DLC while they're recording the "Hey, Shepard, glad to see you're not dead after all.  Let's have blue babies!" dialogue for the Extended Cut.

*prays to the Goddess for the existence of said dialogue in Extended Cut*

As much faith as I have in the writers, I honestly think they won't be allowed to truly fix the ending. At this point, I'm still expecting the ending dlc to be bad, and to that end I will take what I can get and be satisfied if they simply offer me a way for Shepard to live and reunite with Liara without damning the galaxy, too. Because what's the point if they can reunite but there's nowhere for them to go and enjoy being with eachother?

It wouldn't necessarily be a good, well written ending just because they allow that...but I'm expecting so little that that's all I'm really asking for.

Or Javik and Aria in a Squad. I don't think I could survives this.
But Liara and Aria would be awesome, just a small talk about Redemption would be neat.

I seriously wanted a choice to pick "run away with Liara in the Normandy" when she suggested it pre-cerberus base.

This is pretty much my situation as well. I believe the writers could do an amazing ending if they were allowed, but I don't think they will be. But I do have hope that they'll atleast allow a reunion and some evidence of a somewhat okay galaxy. And I'll appreciate even that at this point.

I want that now more than ever, since I've beaten the game.

It's SO PAINFUL to replay the game and hear Liara say things like "what if these are our last days, and we're spending them scurrying around trying to stop something that can't be stopped?"

and of course as you say, the suggestion to just run away and spend life together.

God damn it, and once you beat the game, you know she's right. Shepard's optimisms in reply are just painful because he's wrong.

Ugh.

The worst hurt was the "little blue babies will be disappointed I didn't have a speech." The way she says it... it's totally obvious she knows you're not coming back, and those babies are never going to happen. You're not going to keep your promise. And to be honest I knew in the first hour that Shep was going to die for sure. Hell he says to Thane "you won't be alone for long" or something along those lines.

So the starmap thing, the pillow talk, the babies, the post-Thessia... all of it was brutal in my first playthrough. I knew what was coming. Very poigant though. (if Shepard's death had've been worthwhile)

my disappointment is focused abount the impossibility to put the choice take in this trilogy and put in the new game for watch the affect about the major affairs,

so which is the real point to play this trilogy if all my choice not have consequences because BioWare prefer have a canon story for the new game, because in this way the game not have a complications about some variables,

but why not made the game in canon story in the begining ?

Liara help me for this dark moment.

^What is that?? A struggling, weeping block of cheese? LOL  It's the first time I've seen that.

Anyway, from what Jessica Merizan's been telling us, I'm hopeful that the Extended Cut DLC will set things right. Got a tweet from her last night that we should just continue sending in our feedback and what we want from Liara for the DLC. I know I did! Gotta be fast though, the release date is on June.

The point of playing this trilogy and this story is to enjoy this story and this trilogy.  Not to set things up for the future, but to enjoy the experience now.

And the point of ME3 in particular was to provide an ending to Shepard's story.  I just wish it was a better one.

An ending to Shepard's story didn't have to mean an end to the entire ME IP and franchise. Nor did it have to mean his death. This is pretty simple, I think. The universe was very rich and fleshed and ripe with opportunities to make more games in it and tell more stories, even without Shepard. Now it is torched and isn't.

i'm in disappointment, but in this moment i prefer spend my energy to wathc Liara and Fem SHep:wub:
Aristobulus500 , but this anding not is vary good for next game, and the impossibility to put the choice take in ME3 for personalize the new  story not is good for me, bacause this trilogy its made for give to the player the ability ot change the history, and if BioWare in the new game not put the profile importation deleated all of this element.

Conon Story is for another game, not for ME.
