Well...my headcanon with the destroy ending is that after Shepard "breathed", he got picked up somehow from the Citadel ring and onto a ship. Im guessing that Hackett or whoever was left would have came to come looking for your, since he was contacting you by radio. After that Shepard would maybe have recovered a bit, then he would start his next quest: The Search for Liara:)

Sounds almost Star Trek;P

Then dag nammit, Shepard will find Liara if he has to alter the space/time continum to do so;P

In my thoughts they went to Alpha Centuri's Manswell colony when they showed the Normandy escaping at FTL, or were headed towards.

/end headcanon;P

Can is very different than will see it in game.

I prefer to completely ignore the "endings" within my headcanon.  In there, Shep gives the final speech, something happens, then the war is over and she and Liara maroon themselves on some nowhere planet for a decade or so before breeding.

Well after ME3..if Shepard is alive and the events of ME3 happened, I would imagine that my Shepard would at the very least want to "take it easy" for a little bit, in some form. For at least a decade;P

I dont think I would retire tottally, but would want some time off.

The happy middle ground IC after the war would be something like doing speeches, TV, and movie stuff for money for Shepard. Even star in a move about him like Audy Murphy from WW2, when he did "To hell and back";P

BUUUT...At the same time still working as Liara's top agent if she really needs something done. That way they can be partners in crime, muhahaha! ;P and help rebuild the galaxy..and then find a way to work on Galactic travel so we could check on how Thessia is doing, and fix accordingly.

Then Shepard would become a counciler possibly...with Liara as the shadowbroker working with him to rebuild the galaxy and research mass effect relay technology.

The awnser Merizan gives is neither here nor there. The fact she didn't state 'Yes'  at the start of her sentance means the: 'Depending on your choices.'  part could mean anything.

if this possiblity is really come in the game i'm most sure to complete my second aventure in ME3,

maybe this part give to the player in dlc or in one mission after the end the possibility to save Liara and onther Li, in some location, i don't know if really the Normandy stay in this planet,

but really i need this choice, i need  save my blue  <3, my only reason to fight the Reaper.

I don't really headcannon, but I thought a moment like the one Tidus and Yuna had at the end of FFX, would have been sweet. A scene with Liara's eyes widening at the exact moment when Shepard dies, would have also worked.

I didn't mind the ME3 endings that much. It was just  that the implementation was sub-par. I would've expected something like that from a C-Grade developer, not an A-Grade developer.

Maybe it's because I play ME like a Final-Fantasy game, that I'm not as upset about the endings.

Sure as long as i get to see it after I have no problem with that.  

well you guys its been a long week, M0keys if you want more answers and I can tear myself away from working on some projects for school and fics I'll gladly answer when i get on tomorrow.  Also right now I'm working on a fic for a contest that the BW fan club on DA is holding the deadline is Sunday and I'm hoping to have it done by tomorrow night for critique's edits if any of you want to try and decipher my horrible 3am writing.

honestly Mass effect is only the fourth video game i have been played in the 18 years i have lived so far and i honestly didnt think i were so emotionally invested in it as the ending made me literally depressed and confused..

Whoa, that's some dedication. What was the fourth game, if the three of them are the ME trilogy?
I didn't think that either, until the ending hit me like a truck, still haven't got over it.

Saw a video of EDI about destroying the geth, reminded me about your post. She even sounds sad. (Where is that poker table in the video? I've missed it somehow..)
But yeah, that would've been an interesting situation. Oh I just wish there would be a huge ammount of choices and outcomes, well maybe in some future game with future tech.

I actually managed to get the post Thessia Liara conversation on this playthrough, don't know how I missed it last time, but I have to say it made me feel . I mean dam Bioware, paragon interrupt Shepard makes me feel like a renagade with how cold she is to Liara. Tali gets a paragon interrupt hug when she loses her father in ME2 and Liara can't even get a simple hug when she loses her homeworld???? The rest of the conversation doesn't help any either, "I need time" line really hurt if you are in a romance with her. I know she became a bit colder in ME2 and it wasn't an all bad thing but why would she just shut Shepard out like that? Bioware I'm not super impressed with that scene. It's almost more disappointing than Kei Leng cheating to beat you on Thessia.    

 Not the best scene you ever made Bioware. I can kind of understand why they went that route but they could have at least had the paragon interrupt allow her to cry on your shoulder for a little while, fade to black, then talk her into helping the refugees.

Just had to rant about that scene was all.

Edit: whoops top pic, Even Liara tried to comfort Shep after the temple fight.....

Liara prefers to deal with grief privately. We saw that in ME1 with Benezia, when she's even more thorough in shutting Shepard out.

I probably wouldn't have acted like Shepard does in that scene, but I think Shepard actually got it right. What Liara needed was someone to jolt her out of despair and guilt, not a shoulder to cry on.
