Yeah I'll still be your beta reader, i just write mshep because thats what I'm comfortable doing and becasue i play mshep but as for reading i don't mind what type of shep it is.  As long as your shep isn't a total douche to Liara I'll gladly beta the story for you.  

Also your custom shep is pretty sweet. and i want to know also if you matched the armors on purpose?

Sorry, but cheating on your gf/bf is not an imperfection that helps make a love real, it's quite the opposite. Of course you need to figure out if you actually cheated on her or if you broke it off before jumping onboard Miranda's perfect ass.
If your Shepard cheated, he ( or she if you hacked the romance with a femShep) is a tool and doesn't deserve Liara.

While spinning around in a singularity they'd come to the conclusion that they may have made a mistake or been less than tactful.

Sadly it would be just in time for Liara to detonate said singularity. She kept the receipt from The Illusive Man and she's returning (1) Commander Shepard in poor condition.

Well, I just wanted to show how Shepard was human and how that mistake made him realize that depth of his love towards these two women. I told Liara that we should just stay friends before I "pursued" a relationship with Miranda, but I still felt like I cheated considering how she asked Shep about it in ME3.

I'm doing a non-canon PT now where I would do LotSB after the Suicide Mission just to see if Liara would have any additional comments because this is where Derek juggles two women at the same time.

Also, it's surprising how she takes Shepard back even if I let her down in LotSB... that to me was one of the moments where I realized Liara really does love Shepard. IIRC I think she's the only one you can let down, and still get back together.

Oh yeah, I was pretty disappointed about not having a biotic catfight between Liara or Miranda  They seem like two feisty characters with a colorful past together during Redemption revolving Shepard.

I considered it, with Garrus. Because his Renegade personality is very close to my Shep and I always see them as friends with benefits. Nothing too close, just people letting of some steam. In my final playthrough I made a decision against that. And I'm so glad about that. TalixGarrus<3

The imperfection is, that they are completely different people. And I can RP Mass Effect, that both characters share after the union different character trades with each other. Like when Shepard flys out the window with Vasir and Liara doesn't even look back if she is okay. That's how my Shepard would behave. On the other hand, I can have some small scenes, where my Renegade is very compassionate.
The only reason that I'm not freaked out, that my Renegade became so EMO in ME3. It is all Liara's fault.

I have no Idea if your personality or your way of thinking could change after a Union, but I thought, becoming one with another individual can't leave you uneffected at all. Liara calls it: a life altering event and I wanted to RP that.

I consider their actions (or atleast those taking place in my headcanon) on Illium as imperfection on both parts.

As for cheating. On my first playthrough on ME2 my Shepard did try to move on with Samara, for the same reasons you mentioned I guess.

So, I was reading another forum, a guy made this point about the endings and why they probably upset so many people so much, even though you technically still win and defeat the Reapers...

I think one of the endearing things about the Mass Effect universe is, if you can look past the whole Reapers and Slavers thing, it would be a fascinating and amazing world to live in. Bioware really delivered on the vistas, the locations, and the feel for me in that respect (most of the time), and I think a lot of people agree.

Probably that's why so many fans were angry that at the end it's all (seemingly) burned to the ground.

I think that's a very strong point, and it really gets at why merely ending the Reaper threat, at such a high cost, is not satisfying to so many of the playerbase. It also explains why people who are less invested - such as the vast majority of "professional" reviewers - are more satisfied by the ending.

It definitely speaks to my own issues, because I've said that the Reapers were not why I was playing. The conflict with them, to me, was merely an excuse for growth and development in the characters I had come to know and love.

The Mass Effect universe - and on a smaller scale, the characters such as Liara and the rest of the squad - were so interesting that I honestly did not need a conflict to keep me motivated and playing, and interested in the universe. The universe and the characters so fascinating and fleshed out and have so much depth to them - and the universe feels so real at points that all I really want to do is just explore more of it and learn more about them and their worlds and cultures. A conflict just gives me reason to do that, but if the game were just sand boxey and did away with major conflict entirely I'd barely care.

It's also why the romance scenes are so satisfying, even - and maybe especially - when it's just Shep/Liara enjoying eachothers company and not actually working through some conflict. Because it's a glimpse at just normal living in that universe, which is so fascinating in part because it really does make sense and feel like a place you could live at.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Agree with me? Disagree? Just wondering how apt that guys post was.

Well, you sure do have some strong opinions, don't you?

People make mistakes. It's what makes people human. Eternal faithfulness regardless of how cold and out-of-character Shep's partner is puts them rather closer to Mary Sue territory than realism.
