Thank you for your support, but please stay polite. Everyone is entitlted to their opinions on the matter and if they don't want to struggle any more we can hardly blame them. It's not like the fanbase has been very encouraged by Bioware's responses so far. I will keep trying to drum up support. :)

Sorry, I think I just snapped when the community that I've fled to in hope of something better than the sh*t I'm experiencing in real life wasn't all rainbows and castles.

I'm sorry you're going through a tough time. It certainly doesn't help when the official Bioware responses seem to be so out of touch.

I just keep thinking: Liara didn't give up on Shepard when Shepard was just a freeze-dried cinder, so we can't give up on the ending. I'd love to see Shepard and Liara reunited and rebuilding Thessia together, but that can't happen as long as I do nothing. So I'll keep trying.

As for the ending, I certainly applaud people for trying to let Bioware know just how much of a ****up this ending is. It's a serious mistake, and it's torching their largest, and best franchise, I want to see this whole thing fixed smoothly, really badly.

I'm not even out for Bioware's blood. They've infuriated me with that ending, and burned me really badly, and now I have crushing disappointment when I think about how significant ME could've been if they stuck the landing...but I don't want Bioware's blood.

I just want to see this fixed. I want to see a proper, satisfying ending made that actually addresses player choice and is thematically consistent and as such has an option for a perfectionist to survive and reunite with LI and the Normandy, without torching the galaxy.

I want to see the ending have a good enough option that it allows for more games to be made in the universe where it's still recognizable as the universe even without Shepard or his crew.

I want this, a continuation of the ME setting and world, more than I do want to see Bioware punished and going bankrupt for it.

@Dude on Fire there is no need to get that kind of hostile, what people want to do about this is their decision. There is no need to take it as a personal insult.
I desire and hope that ending gets changed to something that is both a happy ending and in line with the quality and storyline of the rest of the series.
But that does not mean that my integrity as a person or fan of either Liara in this case or Mass Effect in general is ruined beyond recognition if I choose not turn on and off my game at two days, it is just as intact as it has always been.
People deal with it diffirently and they can still care about it equally, someone who wants to imagine a happy ending for Liara and Shepard and helps that with pictures, discusions, fanfics and headcanon can love the characters as much as one who chose to demonstrate or make a stand be refusing to buy anything untill the ending is fixed or similar.
If you think it will help then that is your prerogative and if Yugi does not than that is hers. It is nothing more than an opinion.

Hey! Wow, I didn't expect that you'd post on BSN. I'm Benny in HTL. I talked to you before about your initiative. If you ever need help, just let me know.

Guys, if you don't want to support this. I urge you not to say anything inflammatory, because I know Shinobu worked really hard on this. Agree or disagree, if you must, but it's still pretty amazing she'd do all this for Liara.

Hey, ok, I'm sorry. I just hate seeing hypocrisy in the integrity of my community (people saying they want something but really don't do anything when sh*t hits the fan). And you know what? That's my opinion.

@Shinobu: Why dont you use Liara model in ME2, ME3 for the banner and poster, not that I complain but.. well I'm complaining. Just kidding
I will try to support this, but "do not login BSN forum" on Sunday  It's gonna be hard.

*snip*

The banners were made by the lovely DrowVampyre and I believe she used the most romantic picture of Liara she had in that size. If you have a large image you'd rather use, I can see what can be done. We'd prefer one without Shepard in it.

*Go around to find some pictures*
I need some help here guys

Um maybe this ?

I'm definitely smitten with Liara. I didn't buy ME2 when it first came out because I found out Liara was not going to have a major part. Once I found out about the "Lair of the Shadow Broker" DLC, I bought it for a third of the original price.

Go Liara!

Funny thing about my love for the ME series, I don't care how much they charge me... I'm buying it and I'll be resolved that it was worth every buck. Same goes for ME3, even if I thought ME2 was the best. I'm so infatuated with this game

This is cool cause it's a rare shot of them just basically having a date enjoying eachothers company. You get to see surprisingly little of that in the games, especially so casual and relaxed. It's like, one thing I liked about when Liara toured the Normandy, is that they bothered to have her wearing casual clothing instead of combat armor.

The Presidium paramour scene could've and probably should've led into a date scene similar to this, but it didn't, so...

Personally, I was also really hoping Thessia would've had the amount of content to it that Rannoch/Tuchanka did because I wanted a calm part where Shepard and Liara would get a peaceful moment to reminisnce. I mean, it's hard to imagine how they'd do that now, with the Reapers attacking, but there could've been missions there before the Reapers landed in force.

I don't want Bioware to go under any more than you do, but I fear they will do badly if they keep on the road they are on. I'm going to post part of the campaign so you can see what it is about. It's not angry or confrontational. In fact, I want Bioware to see the number of people who will happily buy products if the ending is fixed well.

Thread:

Turn it on/Turn it off for Bioware

Facts:

- Whether you are hopeful or cynical about the new Ending DLC, one thing is clear: it's Bioware's last, best chance to win back the fanbase.

- It is in everyone's interest that the DLC be a fitting conclusion to this amazing series.

- Bioware is currently in the process of finalizing plans for the DLC, including allocating resources for its creation.

- Because many people have not been playing the SP campaign, EA may have the mistaken impression that SP is a "lost cause" and so may not fund the Ending DLC properly -- especially since they are committed to giving it to us for free.

- EA/Bioware can monitor the numberof people playing Mass Effect 3 through Origin, and we can use this to give them relevant data about ourfuture buying habits.

---------------------------------------

We propose giving EA and Bioware immediate feedback on the importance of the Ending DLC, so they can allocate sufficient resources to make a quality product.

To that end, we propose the following campaign:

We will turn ON our single player game during a pre-defined period to show EA/Bioware the number of passionate fans who love the series andwho will continue to buy their products IF the DLC provides a satisfactory ending.

We will then turn OFF our game and refuse to play for a pre-defined time period to give EA/Bioware a clear
idea of the potential loss of custom and support they will suffer if the DLC is NOT satisfying.

How to take part:

- Turn ON the Mass Effect 3 single player campaign at some point during Saturday, April 28th (Pacific Time/GMT -7). It does not need to be on for the entire 24 hour period.

- Tweet Bioware/EA (#turnMEon) to let them know you are playing in order to show them the number of fans who support them. Post an after action report on the BSN.

- Turn OFF Mass Effect 3 and do not play either single or multiplayer for the entirety of Sunday, April 29th (Pacific Time/GMT -7). The game must be shut off for the entire 24 hour period. Do not login to the BSN forum during this time.

- Tweet Bioware/EA again (#turnMEoff) to let them know you are demonstrating their potential loss of customers. This is a good time to let them know if you're happy with closure or want new endings.

That's all!
The greater the difference between the two days, the more incentive EA will have to fund the DLC properly. Bioware is more than capable of giving us an amazing conclusion to this saga if they have the financial support to do it right.

Hm, that's actually a good point.

Let me think about this...

Personally, I don't like either. For a very similar reason in that I can't see any of the character of the girl model there, it's just...skin. No personality or anything.

Yet, my instinct isn't to call what you linked not artistic.

Hi! Yes, I definitely need all the help I can get, and you've just helped tremendously by vouching for me. I know threads like this are getting spammed constantly, so some random person like me who doesn't post regularly showing up with "hey guys look at this" is going to be viewed with suspicion if not outright ignored.

However you can think of to spread the word, please go ahead and do it (politely :P) . I just had the most amazing people translate the initiative and post it in Russian, German and Polish and StElmo made a video that is gorgeous. I'm trying to get it up now.

If nothing else, I'm doing this to boost the fans' morale, because I was getting jaded and cynical and nothing seemed to be happening. Now I'm meeting friendly people like you who are going out of their way to help me just because we love Mass Effect. It's really inspiring. I will keep trying!

@Akernis
The Turn on/Turn off act doesn't even require you to be very ambitious about the movement (it basically instructs you to NOT play the game for those 24 hours, which technically requires less dedication than a regular day). So, by not contributing to the act you're either showing that you did not know about it or that you really don't give a rat's *ss. This is a VERY simple act for the individual, but still so great when it is done organized in numbers.
The anti-attitude is what we're NOT supposed to fall into - that's what BioWare and EA are hoping for. If the dedication and the emotional attachment fades this movement WILL lose, and we'll NEVER have what we've fought for since the release of the game.
