It was never said who the doctor was, it was just "a doctor from the Citadel". It could be anyone, and you're right that Mitchell has been so far portrayed as being into turians (and Garrus) so I doubt it was her.

A Mass Effect + GTA hybrid would be interesting. Imagine messing around on the Citadel, Illium or Omega. A cool feature would be to import ME3 saves which will transfer the state of the galaxy after the ending.

I really have no idea what Ashley might do. Working with Shepard has had her working with aliens as well as increase her overall experience. Now she's supposedly even a spectre. Things have gone uphill for the granddaughter of General Williams. I kind of expect her to have grown emotionally as well. Still I can just about see her make a comment on Liara and Shepard's relationship. I'm more wondering about the crew's reaction when they learn exactly how Shepard came back. Alliance files declared Shepard KIA. The council declared Shepard KIA. The secret of his return, the lazarus project, is top secret so it isn't far fetched to assume no one but TIM, Miranda, Jacob, Joker and dr Chakwas know exactly how Shepard came back. I wonder what Ashley/Kaidan will say when they hear Liara had a huge part in bringing Shepard back...

I can see them being mad at first then realizing it was the right thing to do.  That is what I see.  I see Kaidan forgiving Liara before Ash though.

Maybe if they look at it with that 'biased towards Cerberus' look of theirs. But if they're checking current facts, Shepard is alive and not with Cerberus so that's what's important... Well.. imo.

It's probably be something like: "You trusted that group Cerberus?! What the hell were you thinking!?"

But after cooling down they will probably realize it all worked out and there's no real reason to be angry any more..

The Kaidan/Liara and Ashley/Liara triangle feels completly different. It's just a feeling that Ashley could do a snarky remark about Liara and Shepard. Not that she is immature compared to Kaidan, but she is a very passionate woman.
I hope that will not change in ME3, I like that about her.

I see Kaidan more as a 'Congratulation' kind of guy.
And Ashley is more like 'So you are still together...' .
On duty they will both be highly professional of course!

I hope the VS can ask about the whole Lazarus Project and SB thing. It's going to be very interesting to see the different reactions, when Shepard tells them the whole story.

I think simply giving Shepard more opportunities to talk about himself full stop would be a good thing to have.

Example: post-LotSB when Liara visits the Normandy. I absolutely loved that bit because you could just say "you know what, I'm sick of all of this". Then in regards to the Lazarus Project it would be cool if rather than Shepard being very matter-of-fact about it (unless you pick the neutral option) you can say like ... you were grateful for Cerberus to bring you back, or you can say like "yeah, Cerberus brought me back but they're still scum...

...something I wasn't able to fully explain to you when you started yelling at me on Horizon!"

Even without the whole Cerberus thing I expect them to be hurt. I actually expect all squadmembers (execpt Wrex) to be somewhat "Why didn't you tell us?".

They were kind of out of touch ever since Shepard died, so I think she simply never had the chance.
It would be interesting to hear some banter between squadmates and Liara on this matter actually, maybe a bit of drama too, but not too much.

You only get the message of the VS is the LI.  Friends with Shep and Shep gets nada.  Which is why Shepard might be a little cool to Kaidan.

I actually read an article where it states that depending on how you treated the Horizon encounter. The VS will treat you diffrently in (how long I don't know) ME3.

I always felt that Liara really didn't think that it would work. She just gave Shep's body just in case there was a million to one shot that it would work. Why tell others if the odds are not in Shep's favor of returning? I can only imagine what she felt when she heard rumors that Shep was seen alive. How did she respond? Did she think that it was a clone? Was it just lies? Or could Shepard really be alive? If she romanced Shepard the anxiety would be 1000X more.

That being said though....she became a completely different character from what little I saw of her in Mass Effect 2...I disliked that new version of her...

I think it was an oversight really on Bioware's part that Shepard didn't receive an e-mail from the VS more "friendship" related if no romance. But after reading threads where people "hate" that Liara saved them and not [insert character her] because they were never friends with her. And how they hate her because it shows how she "stalks" them, blah, blah,blah.
Bioware really can never truly win. If the VS had sent a "friendship" I'm sorry then there would be threads on how stupid that the VS sent them an e-mail "when I never liked them anyway!"

I play where my Shepard likes all of his/her team mates. They all have had Shep's back so I would buy each and every one of them a drink on the Citadel. A crazy thing, I know, to like all the characters.

Liara seems to be right choice in my preferences catalog, why: main reason is simple, she done a lot for Shepard, in fact "saved" him and returned to the world of living ones. I like Tali romance etc. but it lacks sacrifice and true loyalty ( father's data etc ) - same thing about other romances, ash on horizon when shes angry about cerberus etc.

and about Shepard's lifespan, I think that there are two possible scenerios: shepard is dead as we dont know whole lazarus project interaction with his body or hes simply immortal or can live as long as hes lazarus implants work- my speculation is that if you didnt heal scars and pursue renegade path you will look kinda like cybernetic terminator without skin

Thats a good attitude  . It's not that I hate any of the characters but some of them are just not very liable to me (Jack I'm looking at you ).

I just did one playthrough were I not romanced Liara but she was still a good friend to my Shep and didn't act like a stalker or something.

You are right Bioware can never win but they made a really good job. The characters all have their good and bad sides but none of them is really in need of a punch ;D.

That's a reason why I look forward to the party banter, Liara could get well with everybody in the team and the old team.
Maybe she finds a few new friends (like Thane wants to) because...lets face it, she hasn't much of friends.

The conflict between Ash & Liara in ME1 was Shepard. Ash will even admit that if you choose her.

I always remember how Ash is the one to encourage Shepard to go comfort Liara after her mother dies.

I'm hoping that my old teammates will be glad that we are all back together to fight the reapers. The crew beat Sovereign together ... now we will finish the job.
