- Who are you and what is your motivation?

We are fans of the Mass Effect franchise who were disappointed by the way the ending of Shepard's story was handled. We want to maximize the chances that fans will be satisfied by the Ending DLC. While many of us are Retake/HTL members, we do not claim to speak for the majority of either group.

- Retake has already won. What is the point of this?

While the production of a free Ending DLC is a step in the right direction, the announcement Bioware made was vague and could apply equally well to either a multi-hour playable extravaganza or a handful of epilogue slides stating things like: "ReaperGarrus lived for many happy days on Gilligan's planet before he finished consuming Tali's dead body and died of starvation." Our goal is to help Bioware get the funding it needs to produce the former.

- Why didn't you specify what a "satisfactory ending" is?

The fanbase is diverse and not everyone wants the same thing. (However, we suspect very few people will be moved to boycott Bioware if MORE CHOICES are provided.) Also, we trust that the company which made the Tuchanka missions is more than capable of pleasing the majority of fans if they internally peer-review their work. It is not our intent to demand specific plot points or outcomes. Bioware has over 600 pages of fan feedback and multiple polls to point them in the right direction.

- Why should I take part in Turn it On/Turn it Off?

If EA is presented with clear evidence that the quality of the Ending DLC will mean the difference between regaining supportive fans and driving away their customers, we believe they will finance a better product. It is imperative for people who can't currently bring themselves to replay the SP campaign to stand up and be counted instead of being written off as a "lost cause." Also, it's important that the "wait and see" crowd make their voices heard now while we still have time to effect positive change. Finally, it's free and easy to do.

- Why are you trying to destroy Bioware?

We're not. We want them to make an Ending DLC that is worthy of the rest of the game and then reap the rewards of their success. To that end, many of us will encourage our friends who haven't played Mass Effect 3 to download the demo (http://masseffect.com/about/demo/) during Phase 1. We are more than willing to bring new customers to the franchise if the ending is fixed properly.

Shouldn't you have picked a better day for that than during a weekend when they run MP events? Gonna be more difficult getting people to turn off ME when there's an MP event going.

Yeah they're scars 100% pure renegade has alot of them.

I don't think Allis would read it. I mean the fandom can get really, really, creepy. But I suppose they might've for research purposes. Because well *points to the pwned interview*

Did nobody else notice, only Liara andf Femshep are getting the 'bishojo' treatment? Because I smell a rat..a Big Fat Marketing rat..

I think its pretty obvious;P

Though I dont think the femshep one is very sexual imo.

We might be a bit creepy i suppose, but i think thats part of any fanbase. If your a good sport as an actor, you can roll with it, to a degree. Its only mature to put up with some of it imo. What else can you do. At least Ali Hillis has had the courage/good nature to put up with most of us fans so far and seems to react well to her fans, even takes extra time to talk to them from what ive heard/read. Of the many VO's, I think Ali Hillis handles the public fairly well, and even better then some others.

I don't know with those heels, I think of Sailormoon, and the thing with un-cut sailor moon is.

Yeah she does, but  in a manner of speaking the fans  do keep her employed. In Japan if you land a main role in an anime you're like the equivilant of a holiwood actor. Maybe that's what she's going for? I coulden't say since we don't get as many V.O's visiting here. *shrug*

Yeah, It could have been better, but the event was scheduled before we knew. *shrug* Anyway, the SP only players are the ones who really need to speak up. And MP players can play 90% of Friday and Sat as long as they play SP a bit and turn off on Sunday.

Ya, I'm going to have to agree with Aristobulus on this one, it's going to be really difficult trying to convince people to shut down the game on the weekend of a multiplayer event.

I haven't been playing MP much anyway, recently, so what, do you just want people to turn on single player for a few minutes on saturday and then not touch ME at all sunday? Still log in to origin just not ME, or what?

Edit - So I mean I might as well turn on single player for a few minutes on Saturday anyway, but ****. If some friends want to play MP on sunday, I'm going to do it. I'll refrain from pubbing though.

This really was just very, very poorly timed. I don't buy you "didn't know" about the schedule either, Bioware has been doing weekend events for a while, this should've been expected.

TBH im reluctant to take the time to sync up to some political movement, and their 5 min of some day of whatever. I feel like they are a telemarketer annoying me on my phone. And how would they quantify this "5 min of not playing"? vs of all day not playing? what if some dont play anyway?

Don't know if this has been posted yet but, some band wrote a song just for Liara. It pretty good,

give it a listen.

A converstation, when there's nothin to say
Imagination, makes more real than a face
Intoxicated, by the taste of her smile
Clostrophobic, it's been more than a while

In the dead of night, via satelite
Will you be my love? Will you deep blue love?
Far in outer space, make more love than place,
For this deep blue love, you're my deep love

Sick as the silence you have sown,
Quick as the death that I have always known,
 Again
Out of darness black your eyes,
Fighting still fighting reaping spies
Touch me and tell me what you see,
Little by little you're mass effecting me

In the dead of night, via satelite
Will you be my love? WIll you deep blue love?
Far in outer space, make more love than place
For this deep blue love, you're my deep blue love

I can't afford to not play my ME games on any given day. I've got a TON of content to get through since I've started an Adept Shep along with my Vanguard Shep. Gah, two speedruns and another 100% run on top of the one I'm already doing.... All because I got curious about what all the hubub was about for the biotic builds and fell in love with them, sigh....

On a sidenote, is Liara worth bringing as an Adept? I love taking her with me on my Vanguard, but we're both pretty squishy, especially so at low level with crappy powers and crappy armor. I just rescued her from Therum, so I haven't gotten a chance to try her out. I'd love you guys forever if you saved me some time. :D

Simple answer: Yes. If you feel too squishy, bring someone like Wrex or Ashley along, they are both excellent Tanks.
Liara is very powerful in ME1 and ME3.
And don't let me start with the Stasis bug in LotSB....

Liara doesn't give a **** about combat balance. She is like a blue Chuck Norris.
[Edit:] Varren=combat balance.

Hello everyone, I adore Liara and am glad she made such a major return in ME3. She's such a great companion and LI, and is easily in my top 5 video game characters.

As a possible point of discussion, I'll present the following situation:

Wreav's in charge of the Krogan, and Shepard decides they're not going to save the galaxy from the reapers only to have Wreav order the Krogan to wreck it. So Shep sabotages the genophage cure, going with either the shoot Moridin in the back option or by persuading him. Liara later finds out the full details, how does she react?

I've thought about this myself - though in my case, Shepard would be more motivated by the need for Salarian support than fear of the Krogan future.

I think Liara would disagree with Shepard's decision, but would accept that they'd done what they thought was necessary - she accepts other renegade decisions, after all.  She might offer some understanding based on her own experiences as Shadowbroker - as well as some warnings about making these sort of big decisions in secret, related to her comments at TIMs base.

So in the spirit of Operation Carry, if any of you guys play MP on PC and want to get a Commendation pack this weekend, but are intimidated by gold difficulty, you can find me on Origin (username frudix) and I'll be glad to help you get that wave 11 extraction :). I'm in timezone GMT+1, usually playing in the evenings some time between 8pm and 2am (local time).

I believe I'll take you up on that, being on GMT n'all

At the time of planning there wre still operations every wekend, so the possibility of a bye weekend wasn't considered. Anyway, people can play Friday and Saturday for 36 hours straight with some time off for SP and then sleep all Sunday without missing out on packs.

Sunday don't log in to Origin or the BSN at all. If we can't prove to Bioware that we have the willpower to stay away for even ONE day, they'll know we'll come crawling back for paid DLC no matter how many people say they won't.

I think Liara would understand Shepard's decision (even moreso if Mordin was persuaded). She might not like it but she is smart enough to know that with a thug like Wreave in charge. Curing the genophage will be dangerous.

I have a feeling she would disapprove of shooting Mordin. But in that situation Mordin's idealism and guilt endangered everyone, Shepard had no choice.

This is pretty much how I feel about it too, granted I don't think I will ever make a Ren Shep. If I do it will only be to get the achievement for ME1 and will never get imported. Ren Shep is just too opposite me and I feel dirty making those choices. Its just a roll I can't play.

Yeah, if Wreav is the one in charge of the Krogan, Mordin is actually in the wrong to attempt to cure the Genophage. He'll blatantly tell you he wants to go to war afterwards. Liara would realize that, as it's not a hard conclusion to come to.

Edit - Of course, if Wreav is the one in charge of the Krogan, then you've *already* ****ed up your game and your Shepard doesn't really deserve Liara in the first place!

3 times.

Two with my canon Shepard, once with my 100%-paragon Femshep.

Both are with Liara of course! B)
