Eh, that comic is rather weird, and has the most disconnected timeline. At first it seems to be during ME1, right after rescuing Liara - in which case Shep thinking those things is very inappropriate, and that it appears to be rape is very creepy to me - but then in the following comics Shep and Miranda are at Aethyta's bar and it's in ME2?

I do like that Asari are portrayed as blushing in blue, though. A neat touch. But since their blood is purple, wouldn't an asari blushing be more purplish? Although I guess the tint of the their skin could still just make it look like that.

Seems like she just visited Liara on Illium and got depressed because she was so cold to her. Then went on to drown her sorrows in the Eternity club and having a flashback about ME1 and Liara, then Miranda snaps her out of it.

I tend to agree. To me the blushing ranges from simply a deepening blue in their skin (for a light blush) and as it deepens it turns purple in colour.

Shepard is portrayed as a creepy rapist, and Liara is portrayed as someone that fantasizes about being totally exploited and just used as a sex toy.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the less I like it. It's a bad and creepy comic.

While the rape may be over the top I think such a scenario could be funny. With Shepard accidently letting his or her interest in Liara slip while they meld.

Definitely. If it wasn't rape - say Shepard was just imagining them mutally having sex, rather than Shepard forcing herself on a completely helpless and restrained Liara - I wouldn't have had a problem with it. It even looks better on Liara, too, when she reflects on the situation afterwards, to herself.

Hmm, I wonder what effect that sad Liara picture with that quote would have if posted on hate-threads. The artist herself said she didn't like Liara, but still understood her. I find that great.

They are Something Awful smileys. I just steal the ones I feel like using, reupload them to imgur so I'm not hotlinking SA's servers, and use that.

And yes Negative Man is amazing and gets so many great uses.

 Hey guys, I just wanted to share a thought with you and see if anyone felt the same. During the final 'gift' scene in the romance's conclusion, when Liara offers her 'gift' you've got three options, to either accept or decline it or ask about the nature of the gift, I instantly chose acceptance, because I thought if I received a gift from somebody I loved in real life, its nature won't matter, because it's a symbol of love and appreciation, and it's not about materials, it's about what it manifests and represents. So, I felt the same about Liara, she gave me a gift, so I accept it without hesitation, the fact it's coming from her is alone beautiful. I know, she's not a real human, she doesn't 'feel' or appreciate, she only scripted, but Bioware have crafted their characters so well, they're believable. Damn it, she's so admirable and lovable.
