Why is it when i hear mention of a mass effect movie I hear air raid sirens and see nothing but red. Is this what bloodrage feels like?

WAIT!!! WAIT!!! dont headbutt anyone yet who knows maybe the movie will be good?:?

If Liara's the canon LI. It has potential. If Ashley is Shepard's LI I'm out

Oh god!! pls not be ashley<_< it would be so BORING with ashley(but there is a great chance ashley will be)
Ashley is so shallow in comparison to Tali and Liara(the male LI) i would prefer even WREX:P to be the LI

Let us go back to Liara rather than discuss a the likely crappiness of a possibly upcoming movie, yes?

It's not as if bad video game movies is something new, right?

I think ME1 is actually relatively well suited to being made into a movie. I mean yes, you'll probably lose Feros, or have it merged into Therum (Theros? Ferum?), but generally it's got a relatively focused main plot that could translate relatively well.

ME2, you'd have to cut a lot of the squad recruitment and loyalty missions down massively - it would work better as a TV series. ME3 just plain wouldn't work as a movie. Maybe as 3 movies - Earth to Tuchanka, Citadel to Rannoch, Thessia to the (hopefully improved) End.

I don't really see why hollywood wouldn't go for the hot blue alien chick as Shepard's love interest. I mean, it didn't seem to hurt Avatar's sales.

bad video game movies what are you talking about i thought that the RE movies were tremendous.  that was a joke:P

as for getting back on topic.  Do you think that Liara with her love for archeology and information would try and track down the identities of all the previous shadow brokers (i know its a crap question but I'm kinda brain dead right now)  also if Liara had a Tardis where would her first destination be?  for those of you who have no idea what a Tardis or Doctor Who is 1.) I have no further interest in speaking with you... again a joke. and 2.) A TARDIS is a spaceship that can take you anywhere you want future/past/present/other galaxy's/alternate galaxy's etc.... its like the wonkavator on steroids, also it looks like a blue police box because British People

Agreed....the best romance in the game if Ashley was the LI would be Garrus and Male Shep's Bromance. lol

Agreed dude. Liara is clearly Bioware's favorite LI so it should happen in the movie just saying

If nobody minds, I'll just be over here with my fingers in my ears while you talk about whatever casting choices you have for that wretched abortion known as the live action Mass Effect movie.

I personally think Jennifer Morrison could do a great job. Jessica Alba just isn't a good enough actress to be Liara. If Ali Hillis could play her I would be all for it.

I'm still going to go with Olivia Wilde or Natalie Portman as my two faves for the role although natalie is a mismatch height wise and neither has the same assets as Liara, nothing some careful cgi and good shooting won't be able to fix though.  Although i think to make Liara and Garrus and the other aliens they might do screen capture ala Andy Serkis as Gollum or Caesar

I could totally see Olivia Wilde as Liara. However I want Natalie Portman to play Jack. She would be Phenominal as Jack

Cgi with Hills VO, done! Anything else wouldn't be Liara. But if I was makin' the call she wouldn't be present at all, anything that movie touches will be forever cursed..

this! I can live with shep being some random actor as everyones shep is different, but no anyone else on the crew. And as previously mentioned, most likely shep would be male and romancing ash in the movie, which would be a pain to watch.  They should have just made an entire new story imo

I don't know. Did Liara look too "videogamey" in the actual...videogame? **** man, look at how detailed she is in the sex scene and tell me you think an entire movie of her looking that good or better would be so bad?

CGI has come a long way.

Can't be good if it's about Shepard. If they reconsider and make an original storyline, then I'd be interested.

I would watch the hell out of a movie about the First Contact War.

Honestly, though?  My biggest hope would be for a The West Wing style series about politics centered around the Council races.

Hmmm, The West Wing style (and quality) series centered on Citadel politics... yes please.
I do think any movie or series that would be made should not feature Shepard. It would just screw up everyone's personal Shepards, I just don't see how it could not ****** off most of the fans.

You have to ask Liara, the bondmate line ... ohhh ..... and the smile after that..... It was totally worth it.
@moreeman06 I'm a PC player.

Yeah, that little smile after she says 'or their bondmates'... heart melting.
Come to think of it, I have a screenshot, only fair to share it:

Only CGI cant get the job done you do realise that for example in ME3 they use real persons to captures the motions to make  more "realistic" the cutscenes and gameplay CGI cant get the job done alone

Well, yeah, but is there some reason they can't use that same method again in a movie?

That facial expression really fits what she's talking about. She looks totally peaceful and smitten there.

This might be off topic but I have never finished ME3 even though I bought the Collectors edition game and book. I made it to SurKesh (sp?) and restarted the series from ME1 to romance Liara even though all the choices besides that will be about the same. Ashley was cool but I just felt like Liara was developed better over the course of the games. Almost finished ME1 and grind ME2.. I wonder if the Ish quest has influence. Even if the ending sucks which wasn't spoiled in the guide, I think it's less about the ending and more about the journey to get there. But since we are getting extended endings, Liara - come back to our Shepards and let's embrace eternity.

Found a little fanfic you guys might like. There are 2 other stories by the same author, one is Traynor-based, the other is a Liara/femshep fic but might be a bit traumatic for those of you wedded to your own headcanon. I know I felt a trickle or two from these strangely red orbs in my head.
