This might be off topic but I have never finished ME3 even though I bought the Collectors edition game and book. I made it to SurKesh (sp?) and restarted the series from ME1 to romance Liara even though all the choices besides that will be about the same. Ashley was cool but I just felt like Liara was developed better over the course of the games. Almost finished ME1 and grind ME2.. I wonder if the Ish quest has influence. Even if the ending sucks which wasn't spoiled in the guide, I think it's less about the ending and more about the journey to get there. But since we are getting extended endings, Liara - come back to our Shepards and let's embrace eternity.

Good man. Starting over to romance Liara is totally worth it. Make sure you do LotSB, too.

Jessica Alba as Liara in the movie... what do you think?

I'm still going to go with Olivia Wilde or Natalie Portman as my two faves for the role although natalie is a mismatch height wise and neither has the same assets as Liara, nothing some careful cgi and good shooting won't be able to fix though.  Although i think to make Liara and Garrus and the other aliens they might do screen capture ala Andy Serkis as Gollum or Caesar

I could totally see Olivia Wilde as Liara. However I want Natalie Portman to play Jack. She would be Phenominal as Jack

i could see Natalie as Jack

Found a little fanfic you guys might like. There are 2 other stories by the same author, one is Traynor-based, the other is a Liara/femshep fic but might be a bit traumatic for those of you wedded to your own headcanon. I know I felt a trickle or two from these strangely red orbs in my head.

For Her, For Them

This is well done but ****, that ending is garbage and too painful. I can't deal with it, I don't even like seeing good writers try to wrestle with it. It's just opening up old wounds to see that starchild/ending scene relived.

ahahaha...ohh how i detest that one. Ranks up there with artistic integrity, speculation, and bittersweet, and M.W  /bloodrage.

but good on ya for going the Liara way. And as far as i Know the ish quest doesn't bear any significance on the ME3 story (not that i found, maybe its waiting for the retake omega DLC or something). The quest was bugged anyways, so it probably got scrapped rather then fixed.

Just chug a few bags of skittles and you're good to go! I doubt it will make it happy vomit, but atleast it'll be rainbow colored....close enough?

Any mainstream movie/game animations these days use motion capture, that's a given. Cgi simply means Cgi, it does not imply things are aniamted by hand.

Yeah, I'm no fan of that line either. But people who can live by that are at the advantage in ME3. In a way, it's funny that us Liaramancers can't mesh with that line of thinking, because isn't that how the Asari are supposed to view things? Since they live so much longer than everyone except a Krogan and another Asari.

Just an amusing note.

I mean, for me, the ending has poisoned everything before it, and it crushes me to replay earlier scenes with Liara and hear her laments and wishes to just leave the war behind and live a life with Shepard. But if you are the type who can discount the ending and say it's about the journey, perhaps it's not as painful for them.

Thanks for the link, I really liked it. I hate the ME3 ending as much as anyone, but at least this is based off the 'best' ending.
I also read Liara's Visit and I liked that one even more. I only wish it'd have been set a little further into the future, it would have made a bit more sense for Liara to be the last one by then. Regardless, it was an interesting look into the more distant post-Shepard future.

Getting some money and going going to try and get a cheap Bamboo. Then I can attempt to make Liara and finaly make all of my soon to be fan-fics in comics :D

Need.... it.... now....

And on the note of drawing, why dont we hold Liara-esque drawing contests? Make your best Liara with a scene with or without your Shep? Could be a comic or a simple picture. Would be fun. And no cheating >:C

Just something for a little fun at least. Can use anything as a basis really. Let it be outlining models on parts that are hard to draw, and I do mean on a tablet. If you didnt know, could be on paper as well :] Just a simple idea.

I think I will join you Marshal, maybe its just me but I don't think any kind of ME movie will be all that good if they are going to use character alread established in the game.

Can we quit bringing this up? That entire plot point is garbage and nonsense. It's incredibly poorly handled, so it's not worth discussing because the game itself can't even decide what it means for the Asari.

I've explained why twice already now and I'll do it again if I have to, but man, it's just such another part of the story that's a casualty of rushed, lazy writing.

Well, yeah, but is there some reason they can't use that same method again in a movie?

That facial expression really fits what she's talking about. She looks totally peaceful and smitten there.

yeah they use that process in movies alot now, enough so that there was a huge outrage that the Academy wouldn't even consider Andy Serkis for a Oscar nom for his work as the man behind Gollum and Caesar.  (he was in a motion capture suit and they just overlaid the CG model over his movements and facial expressions)

Definitely, LotSB was excellent but the romance arc with Liara will make it worthwhile! On other playthroughs, I had to pick my love interest as my motivation but in my head, I was like - "Naw baby, this is for you." lol

Thanks, I noticed that when I brought Miranda one time- there was some additional dialouge. Tali or Liara.. It didn't take me long to decide. Except when I saw how sad Tali was about her father, I wanted to keep her happy through my Shepard - but I think I'll like Liara's arc better. So far, I like how their love starts in ME1.

About the 'Retake Omega', that would be so cool because they can still build on our past decisions. The whole, "It's about the journey rather than the end.', is something I don't believe works for everything. Like our lifespan, all of our endings are going to be horrible in some kind of fashion unless we die in peace/sleep. It's just how we can make it less of a ****ty end. Lol. I am actually worried about the endings because of what everyone is saying. All I know is there is three different choices, all suck ~ I feel like I'm not going to enjoy it. Maybe why I'm staying optimistic because I didn't make it to the end?

"It's about the journey rather than the end!!"   I'm telling myself that in hope that the ending won't be so depressing.

I have beaten ME3 four times. I also have two 'almost complete' playthroughs. Urrgh I hate that speech at the start, in English. It felt so overdone and cringe worthy. The un-romanced no-import version of Mars is bland. I barely got to the citidel on that play-through. Kaiden actually says it to your face at the london scene "We both know the score, we know this is goodbye." and it makes the gift scene even more heartstring pulling.(It's like Liara is holding back from saying it.) I dont think I could go through ME3 again. It's so depressing, the whole game is depressing..its even more depressing in Italian..

Wow. I only beatened ME3 twice and I still enjoy the game a lot despite the ending.
