I sat in front of Dead Space 2 all day. Singing "Smoke Weed Every Day"-remixes made it so much more playable. (Smoke-smoke smoke-smoke smoke-smoke smoke-weed... Smoke-weed-every-day, Smoke-weed-every-day, Smokeweedeveryday).
Yes, I'm quite abstract.

Also, yes, it's actually really difficult to stay away from ME3. It's not a coinsidence that BioWare released the challange for this weekend in particular. But we'll Hold The Line regardless.

Hah, I know the remix you're talking about, it's hilarious. Haven't played DS2 but just had to say.

Lol, are you stalking ali?

LOL! No stalking Ali ... I only see her at public events. If I were to stalk someone it would be Monica Bellucci. Thank the stars that she lives in Paris or I might be behind bars now. Image IPB

EDIT: Heading back to the Newport Beach Film Festival ... see you guys later!

i didn't have any problems staying away, I've also been at work for the past 8 hours, only two more to go then i can maybe write/do school work

*looks at the dust gathering on the CE ME3*
I got this Turn on and off thing in the bag.  Most of my EA games have hit over-glorified dust collector status now.  Hell playing that damn disappointment for five minutes on saturday wouldve been the hardest part for me.

It's amazing how people are able to pick up the slack Bioware left, and make pretty powerful/emotional scenes/images using the same models Bioware did. Like, people have been straight up improving the Post Thessia scene, and the ending, and providing more depth for the romances, with just model editing and posing, than what Bioware offered us in the full game with VA and animation and everything.

While that might be, Bioware is fully capeable of blowing us over if they only wanted too. It's just easy to appease people when you give them what they want.

I actually kind of wish there was a legit liara perfume or whatever. Id like to be able to smell something and think, liara! :) But everyone likes something different so... She probably smells like blueberries! :D

http://www.etsy.com/...oil-mass-effect isn't "legit" enough for you?

I'm honestly curious how they are even drawing the comparison to Liara with this. It's a scent! I'm just confused. Image IPB

Phew! It was hard staying off BSN all day. I see you've been busy.

Anyway, regarding that less-anthropomorphic asari thing? I typed this up, I should probably post on FFN or something, but I'd like some opinions if you've got them. Either here or PM is fine.

I was planning on writing some more entries, but this one just concentrates on the… interesting … parts of physiology.

It's…clinical?…but adult, so maybe a T rating and probably NSFW, depending on where you work…

I'm curious how you managed to come up with some of that - a lot of that seems like pure speculation that would have literally nothing either proving or disproving it, or even evidence toward either side at all. Things like the way you described Asari skeletal structure and such.

If you just completely made up lots of it, that's one thing, but if you found even the smallest bit of evidence for lots of that, that's what I'm curious about.

Don't misunderstand me as saying "you're wrong." I'm saying more that a lot just seems to be stuff the games were completely silent on at all. So, it's not so much in this case that "you're wrong" as it is "how do you know it's 'x' and not 'y' or 'z'?"

Edit - Also, was talking to a friend. He asked me a question I thought was interesting. He wanted to know if Asari could move their head tentacles at all. Of course Liara says they don't flop about or move on their own...but could they be moved by hand? Or are they completely rigid? As tentacles they don't seem like they should be so rigid that they can't be moved by hand, even if the Asari can't consciously move them.

Although I'm a bit worried all of this is maybe slightly veering off into the the dreaded Talimancer territory of "hey let's discuss what Tali's sweat taste like and oh let's come to the conclusion that it's healthy, tasty, a stimulant, and a perfect drug and a perfect elixir."

i could be mistaken but i'm pretty sure she says they are semi-rigid so i think they could be moved just by hand though not through muscular contractions or twitches

She says they're 'semi flexible, cartilage based scalp crests that grow into shape'. As they're cartilage based it would make sense that they can't consciously control them, but they would probably be movable by hand at least to some degree.

It's purely made up

The impetus is that it's preposterously improbable that the only differences between humans and an alien species would be skin color and some cartilage on the head.

At the same time, we're constrained by what we do see. So I can't, for example, invent a tail.

So, I'm trying to introduce plausible changes within that context.

Edit: I do try to incorporate various things we've seen or heard in the game, inasmuch as I can, such as the note about more flexible joints, and the birthing creché mentioned in the LoTSB dossiers.

Edit - Also, was talking to a friend. He asked me a question I thought was interesting. He wanted to know if Asari could move their head tentacles at all. They're explained to be cartilage and skin, so they could be as hard as the back of your ear, even if hollowed. Moreso if thick. My interpretation is that they're somewhat flexible themselves, and there's some musculature that can either be relaxed or activated, I haven't decided yet.

 I've actually been reading some fanfic (spurred by the excellent “Dark Energy” series) and the thing I was most consistently disappointed in was the fact that Liara was just a blue woman in every single one. I was hoping that I might come up with something reasonable to use if I ever get to writing myself, and offer for use by others.

That was certainly intriguing reading, even if most of it is just made up. It read like something you might actually be able to pick up at a doctor's office on the Citadel :)

I definitely appreciate the attempt to make Asari more than just blue women. I've certainly said that one thing I like about the games is that Asari were made more and more alien as the series went on, with their cultures and such built on to make them stand out from humans.

Thank you :) Hopefully it continues to be excellent. Most people seem to want to lynch me right about now given that last cliffhanger.

Also, sorry if my version of Liara comes off as a blue woman...it was my intent for her to come off as a blue GODDESS :)

My bad.

I don't mind! Edge-of-seat and all. Although someone needs to hold a crew meeting about combat equipment.

You're right…I naturally meant to say “other asari”! Still, though, not too late to retcon ;) I even made a bit of a nod toward your depiction, as you may have noticed.

just the usual, some new fan fic, some new fan art, some serious discussion on Asari skin texture/The lack of Thessia and how that one mission just felt shoehorned/Liara and her adventures as a archeologist/and Head fringes (don't worry none of this got to the Tali Sweat scientific level).   basically as i said the usual shenanigans

Ah, I know. Loved that PMC incorporated the halucination dialogue. Took the cake for me. That's got to cause some problems for them once Liara realizes she's not halucinating and that EW was actually being rude to her. lmao

wait PMC is writing more, can someone link it please.... I'm starting to feel left out.

I'm back. Done with my turn on/ turn off action.

I'm enjoying this fanfic, It's a little painful to see Liara and Shep are just friend but... I makes me love Liara more and more
