Well, Singularity sucks no matter what difficulty on which you play it.

Do you always play on insanity? I usually juggle between veteran and hardcore since they provide the best balance when it comes to ease of play while still being challenging enough so you can't breee through the game.

Do BDTS and ask for light armor at the end of the quest?
Or just activate command console and give yourself the colossus armor.

This page should explain it.

Anyone afraid that from a gameplay perspective that Liara and your Shepard won't have a very good party dynamic. Looks like Liara is entirely based on CC so I guess she will fit perfectly with a Shepard that has warp. But since I play soldier I guess I will have to bring a squadmate with warp along if I wish to make use of Liara's abilities.
Hopefully Kaidan will be given warp.
Between Liara's Tempest sub machine gun and my soldier's Revenant machine gun, I doubt I'll need powers much. But I imagine BW will have some changes in mind for combat, giving Liara only crowd control abilities when enemies are said to be stronger in ME3 than in ME2 just doesn't sound logical.
Besides Singularity/pull + warp isn't the only way to kill enemies, also I hope you can still kill husks in a single hit by lifting them off the ground, something tells me we'll be fighting A LOT of husks in ME3, which would make Liara and her singularity one of the most usefull party members out there. She'll be in my party the entire time regardless of her abilities however

In ME1 I found Liara worked well with any Shep. I was expecting to leave her on the Normandy more with adept Shep but she's still the best squaddie to have on the team, you can never have too much biotics in ME1. Protected enemies in ME2 bugger things up for the adepts a bit
This is true. Still it wasn't so bad if you had a biotic with warp like miranda or a Soldier Shepard/Grunt/Garrus/Jacob with specialised ammo to take down armor and overload/disruptor ammo for shields. I picked Tali's energy drain power as a bonus power for my soldier Shepard so he could take down shields without switching from inferno to disruper ammo. I was very pleased with the result and I don't see why it wouldn't work in ME3. Shepard purely for defense stripping, Liara for Crowd control and a random other squaddie (Most of the time Garrus/Tali) will be all I need in ME3
Edit: I found my adapt to be surprisingly powerful in ME2 with an smg to drop shields and singularity + warp to take down groups of enemies. The defences never bothered me that much..

I sadly cheated on her in all my playthroughs and fell in love with Tali........until LotSB came out......Now I've redone my playthroughs and through sheer force of will, have managed to stay faithful. Its just really hard to say no to Tali.
Hmm true, Tali's 'initiating romance scene' for lack of a better description was quite well done and it's pretty hard to let her down like that. Although I found just saying that you don't want to put Tali in danger no matter how much you'd like to, then in the next conversation use the 'Never mind, we're friends' dialogue is a MUCH easier way to turn her down without having to feel bad. That and the fact I just like Liara better than Tali means I never had to cheat on her

I never gave much thought to my squad makeup or CC in ME2. It was nice to have someone with overload or warp, and the occasional heavy-hitter like concussion shot and the like, but most of the time I just sniped down everything in my way, even on Insanity.
Since most of the missions are undertaken on the behalf of specific squadmates, I usually base the squad composition on the what is best for whoever Shepard is helping out.
For instance: I bring Jacob on Miranda's Loyalty mission because they have a history together, so she might feel more comfortable having the kind of emotional experiance that the LM engenders in front of him than in front of a stranger. Of course, knowing Miranda the opposite may be true.
I bring Thane on Samara's mission because I feel he is more of a calming presence for both Samara and Nef's mom than most other squadmates would be.
I bring Samara on Jack's LM because she has both the biotic power to restrain Jack if it looks like she will become dangerous and the self-control necessary for me to be sure that she won't push any of Jack's buttons while she is working through things.
etc.

I do something similar. My Shepard is very tactful, so I always bring Legion to the Flotilla.
And for LotSB it's always Tali and Garrus. I think the ME1 original crew will always have a connection, even if they didn't talk in a very long time.

This is why I'm very interested in what sort of party banter we can expect between Liara/Tali and Liara/Garrus. IF it turns out Wrex is also a squadmember for a time, I wonder what Liara and Wrex have to say to eachother. They didn't interect that much in ME1 and had no real similarities so I wonder what they could talk about.
Depending on whether anyone besides Shepard finds out about Liara being the shadow broker (My Shepard won't tell anyone of course) I wonder if anyone is going to confront Liara about her shadow broker business IF it becomes known (although all ME2 squaddies potentially know it)
Wrex(to Liara): "So YOU wanted me to kill fist all those years ago? Where's my money?!"
Of course I'm hoping the shadow broker business isn't going to become too great a deal. I would hate for all Liara's banter to be about her business.

Maybe even a nice little scene 100 years or so in the future of his daughter and Liara talking about him/her telling their daughter what sort of person he/she was if he/she was not around as their daughter grew of course well unless he/she is still alive then just old of course.

Thane: Fundamental differences in the belief of what is and is not an inanimate object.
Garrus: He's my Shep's buddy, but don't want her to die during sex.
Jacob: He's stable, maybe a little *too* stable.
Kaidan: He's dead
Morinth: She's dead too.
Samara: Tempted, but no go.
Kelly: She fed my Shep's fish, but nothing else.
It's practically Liara by default. Good thing I really like her character.

Also had no trouble staying loyal. Ashley died on Virmire and Miranda/Tali held no appeal to me that way.

Kinda unfair to hold Horizon as a reason to pick Liara or the VS. Considering it first happens in ME2.
