As much as I loath the ending of ME3 this is a very excellent picture.

I can relate to that. I remember when I'd just been forced by my brother to buy ME1 and 2 on Origin when it was on sale, saying it was an incredible series, I should really try it out, etc. I wasn't very optimistic about the games at all - in fact I thought Mass Effect would be the worst American cliche RPG of all time (WELL I WAS WRONG, TTHHEERREE II SSAAIIDD IITT).
I remember at least trying to make my first (and only) MaleShep, Blake to look somewhat personal (even though I had to suffer his horrible cheeks throughout the game), and even giving him a past that I found appropriate.
Then Eden Prime came. I remember being the biggest racist EVAR when the word came that the Turian spectre (Nihlus?) was joining us. I remember being a total douche towards Jenkins, I remember thinking Kaidan was boring as HHEELLLL. Played through Eden Prime, met Ashley. At this time I already knew there was a romance aspect of the series, so I was already looking at every possible LI option whenever I had the chance.
But anyway, I was quite the renegade freak from the start. Didn't really think being mr. Nice-Guy was a goal in this game (I was tired of it after forcing myself through KotOR as a complete Jedi-saint), so I let my agressive impulses act when they felt like it.
The first thing I did after getting the Normandy all for myself was actually going to Therum, for some reason (actually don't remember why). When meeting Liara I did find her socially awkward personality to be intriguing, but also somewhat similar to who I am in real life. This started a tug-o-war in my head regarding the infamous Liara-Ash conflict. I didn't really find any of them more appealing untill a very special moment.
Noveria. I brought both Liara and Ashley for this mission. When killing Benezia I couldn't help to sympathize for Liara (this feeling was pretty unique so far, since I still was quite the douche) - I mean, we did just KILL her MOTHER.
But it wasn't that which affected me the most. When being put to the choice to either kill or set free the Rachni queen, I had been hell bent the entire trip inside the research base to WITHOUT COMPROMIZE kill EVERY single Rachni, for what they'd done to the people there. But I didn't. Ash seemed to think it was a splendid idea to do as I had first thought... but Liara didn't. Liara actually convinced (Note: SHE CON-VINCED) me to let the queen live. Still to this day I'm curious about how I could be changed as a person that quickly.
Back on the Normandy I first went down to Ash to do my regular post-mission opinion-Q. But she basically told me to go up and check in on Dr. T'Soni. So I did, and well, I got to know her even better than before. Still today I can honestly say that Liara (in ME1 alone) is BY FAR the most interesting and most captivating character of them all.
Proud to have gone blue.

Wow, this is so hypnotic, like a Lava lamp. Happy 1400. I bought ME1 to romance Liara and it was worth it!

Agree, they did an amazing work with the character. But you know what I don't like about Liara? She's not real.Dude on Fire wrote...

Yes finally I get to post on a hundred page, no way I am missing this.

A little headcanon and this is one of my favourites, even if I dislike the headgear

Ok, folks, let's get this back into a better place. I asked this question, but it got lost in the shuffle, so, I asked you again;
Has Liara been a good or bad influence on your Shepard? If so, how?
For example; Liara reminded Nora Shepard of a dear friend she had when she was growing up on the streets of Old Los Angeles. This friend was a good influence on her and made Nora want to be a better person, instead of the violent rage case she can be at times.
For my Shep, Katherine, Liara has had a tremendous influence; Mindoir had a profound effect on her, ever since that experience she closed herself off to getting close to anyone she never wanted to feel that kind of loss again so she simply acted cold and distant to almost everyone...until she met Liara. The more she spoke to Liara the more started to feel like herself again.
Liara gave her the ability to feel and express love again

Liara was a good influence on Charlie Shepard, the entire team of the original Normandy was.
He was never a bad person. But after Elysium all the fame and prestige got to his head and he became self-absorbed and egoistic. The events and the people he met during ME1 helped him mature and stop being a jerk.

Sometimes I feel like the only one who likes Liara with the Headband things
Though lately, Ive been using her N7 trooperish - looking armor. For the recharge speed, and because It kind of matches Shepard plus Its got a more military look that I enjoy. I still switch around a lot though.

This is an interesting post. It's pretty fascinating how Liara is such a turning point in the game for quite a few people - you weren't really invested in the series until you really started to know her, and she shifted how your Shepard acted entirely.
For me, too - I didn't think ME would be that great when I first started playing. Most Sci Fi media really does not appeal to me, because of how human centric it is and how shallow the aliens are, either being joke characters or monsters or both. I knew very little about ME when I first started playing, so I was really surprised when I found Liara, and talking to her was what really showed me the depth of the series and how fleshed out and realistic the aliens are, especially the Asari.
Because I thought the aliens might still be just shallow stereotypes essentially, but when Liara started talking about the entire culture of the Asari, and how it related to her and the way most Asari act and are perceived...I wasn't expecting that level of detail in the game. And then the romance with her? Really drew me in, because it was taken so seriously and done well. I was surprised she was even an option and you weren't forced to either romance Ashley/Kaidan or nobody at all.
Edit - On that Justicar thing, the sprite animation is cool but I think it'd look better if she was in her LotSB outfit. I really think that's the coolest combar armor she has, and it really fits her personality.
I just really like it so much because it mixes a light labcoat with some light armor, and looks very flexible and isn't cumbersome, like heavy armor and such.
Though I think what looks best on her overall is just casual clothing like she wore in ME1 and that dress she wore to the Normandy in LotSB. Makes me realize you never see her wearing anything other than combat armor in ME3.

I quite like her headband. In fact I wish she wore it on her armor outfit and commando-gear. I just cannot stand the colours on her CE outfit.
But that Justicar headband.

That headband is blah. Liara will never wear that outfit in ME3. Just like none of my femSheps will ever wear that N7 dress. Blah on that too.
Picture spam.

Ah, ok. I see where your coming from then
Now..If they could just make 1 Full helmet for her...I would be MOST happy;P
Ive been sketching Asari Helmets in math class for ideas ;P. Even full glass face panel ones would be cool...To get around Biowares "But we dont want to Hide their facial animations...blah blah" (Even though the face masks already! block her mouth...anyways...).
The hard part is dealing with the back of the head, and how would a helmet go on. I was thinking you could split the helmet into two parts. An "under section" That would go up to the back of the crest and link into the suit to make an air tight seal with their armor and an "upper section" That would latch onto the bottom section from the back and click onto some other latches on the front and sides.
Or you could have a kind of somewhat normal looking helmet, but with an elongated back portion, with the angle of the helmet more at a downward angle then human helmets.

That dress?
Other than that, I also found it disturbing that she ONLY wears combat outfits in ME3, I mean... even in the romance scene (before they go... well... before they don't need the clothes anymore)?

Exactly, but I also think it could work with her commando gear as mentioned.

Why bother making a new full helmet for her? She already had a perfectly reasonable one in ME1, and it would fit perfectly with her white armor.
