I think the armor suits her perfectly because to me she is more of a support role character than a tank like Vega. Her "combat suit" fits her figure perfectly and allows her full movement will still be armored. Also if you look at her health to barriers, She relies on her barriers a ton more so then her heath, allowing for maximum biotic potential. Just my thought.
That reminds me what do you guys usually level up in her Pure Biotic tree, her Health/Barrier or her Recharge Speed?
I really like her recharge speed to full but she has so low health and only moderate barrier if that is not maxed.
A shame one cannot chose both over a rank elswhere.

I had her health a priority so her trees for me went like this
Warp 4a,5a,6b
Singularity 4a,5b,6b
Stasis 4b,5b,6a
Pure biotic 4b,5b,6b
Warp ammo whatever number of skill points left. Found this to be great for Liara best of both.

I never felt the seperation between shields and barriers in ME2 and ME3 made sense. In ME1 a biotic culd boost his or her shields by using their biotics, but in ME2/3 they give the impression that biotics use their actual biotics as shields instead of the kinetic barriers their amor have.
Just my two cents.
Yeah, I think it is supposed to be taken as them reinforcing their shields with barriers in ME2 and ME3 as well, because relying on your own barriers only for protection as a biotic just seems dumb since it obviously takes some effort to keep biotic barriers going.
I think the seeming seperation of biotics and machines is a bit false all around. If their manipulating the same forces, it shouldent matter if the source is machine or biologic. Their not explained as Psykic powers. The Geth should have biotics too;P And you should have strap on suits that turn people into Biotics imo.
But some might just consider that crazy talk;P
But with Liara having only something like 220 hp, I took the Defense skill this time. Its still not a whole lot...It got her up to 300hp. Though she does rely on her sheilds more. But I think there could be something wrong with how the game reports her HP...because she seems to have much less HP then all the other Squadmates. But at the same time she dosent seem to collapse that much more often when under fire then the others. Weird.

shield generators that simply produced kinetic barriers for soldiers
and
Biotic aplifiers for biotics that created a biotic barrier sunconsciously directed by the biotic.
So that the excess energy given of a biotic would be chanelled through some kind of amplifier into the barriers, a biotic would be able to consciously strenghten this barrier, by the use of the in-game ability "Barrier".

I don't remember seeing any wearing helmets on Earth. I did record all of the battle for Earth and I have yet to edit it down. They might not be wearing any because they really don't need to with Earth being a breathable planet for both species. I have yet to see an asari wear a helmet outside of Liara in ME1.Tyranniac wrote...

Well I suppose you could always use that Helmet too. I would be happy with just that.
But I think its just a human helmet model, so it was my intention to try to figure out ways that Asari would make helmets for themselves...Considering their unique head-and-cest shape.
Wrong. It is not just a human helmet, it is extended to make room for the head crests.Akernis wrote...
While I like the dress she wore on the Normandy in LotSB I don't like the scientist uniform from ME1 or the business dress in ME2 neither suits her in my opinion.
How can you not like the ME1 labcoat?ladyvader wrote...
Even the battle on both Earth and Thessia there wasn't one asari that wore any type of helmet. I just finished off my canon Leia run last night and I think the only species wearing helmets on Earth were human or krogan. I don't remember seeing a salarian or turian wearing a helmet either.
Really? Surprising considering they wore helmets in the other games.

But that Justicar headband.
The problem that I, and likely a lot of other people have with the head band (I believe it's actually supposed to be a biotic amp of some kind), is that whether BioWare intended it or not, it became the "Signature Look" for Samaara (and to a lesser degree, the Justicar).
Every time I see Liara wearing thatI can't help but think of Samara.

You know what, that actually makes a lot of sense. Would explain why all biotics have barriers and would also mean using biotic barriers instead of ordinary kinetic shielding wouldn't be dumb.

I love her Lab coat outfit. It suits her character, my Shep and I fall in love with an Asari scientist, not an Asari justica or commando. But I let her wear the black-blue armor sometime.
I level up her recharge and damage abilities because I could slap medigel on her later or cloak and run toward to slash whatever hurting her.

That is true, and a fair point for why people do not like it.
I never seen it as a biotic amp. I imagine those as tiny machines or implants, not a piece of jewelry.
My own interpretation of the headband is that it was worn by the asari warriors of old when they went to war or battle, believing that their goddes would protect or shield them (sorta like how crusaders had the symbol of the holy cross I guess). And although it has lost its religious meaning for many, some asari still wear them as another form of "war paint" (for the lack of a better word).
Not the best explaiantion, but I kinda like it.

My problem with the headband is it doesn't look good on Liara's head. And it does make her look like a justicar, but that to me isn't the problem. It's the look. Like the white armor we got with the CE, I really don't like how Liara looks in it either. Too bulky I think. Now the armor from the Alliance looks perfect on Liara. Or to me anyway. Same with the SB armor. She looks wonderful in that too, but since that is what she wears around the Normandy and Citadel, I have her in the Alliance armor in battle.
I also go with the Alliance commando armor for battle, since I think the LotSB outfit looks better as on ship gear. I don't really have anything against the white armor though, just think the Alliance gear looks better.

Well, not looking good or even right on Liara is a given. It really just doesn't look right on her at all, but I determined that for me, its because its Samara's signature look. I just leave her in her SB armor since I mod it anyway, I have no need to swap her into other armor.ladyvader wrote...

It is a huge advantage to get the PC version of just about anything if there's an option, the first and foremost being modding. You also don't need to know how to mod to use mods made by others, it's really not hard to use texture mods at all. If yo uhave the ooportunity to pick up the PC version, do it, and theres a lot of mods waiting for you!ladyvader wrote...
