Yes, and the most dense form of energy found in food is from meat.

It would make sense that a race of inherent biotic users would eat energy-rich food. Though I think asari are as varied as huamns in their eating habits.

But asari were originally aquatic and (if Javik is to be believed) have inherent reptilian traits, both of which kinds of animals are primarily carnivorours to some degree (if I remember my biology correctly, with the exception of most turtles nearly all reptiles eat insects or lesser anímals and morst aquatic species larger than small fish eat other fish or equivalent).

I would choose ME3 and then LotSB
In LotSB she looks so sad most of the time :(

As you might guess, I of course agree - but I'm curious where you're getting this from? That Asari are aquatic/have inherent reptilian traits? I don't remember Javik saying anything like that.

Maybe they do that because it’s rare to meld with fishes?

Same question to you - I don't disagree, just wondering where you're getting that from. I simply don't remember it.

Hey you guys so i have one more new fic, it's titled "One Last Date"  and i just wrote it as a little ditty for reaching 1000 pageviews on my DA account.  If you want to check it out and leave critique's comments feel free to.  It takes place after the Romance lock in and before Cronos Station and is definately lighthearted.  Oh well I'm gonna stop talking now and just leave the link

They really should've had a scene like this with Liara, especially if you told her in the first scene on the Normandy that you still wanted to be with her. It's just a little strange that you never get to do anything with her, really. She spends all that time around the cafe in the commons area and you get one small chat with her.

Something even slightly comparable to what you do with Garrus would've been nice.

Glad you enjoyed it :D

Asari are vegans. I should probably write that part of my intro to asari, too, huh?  Image IPB You can tell from the teeth.

I will note that Liara had her first lines in chapter 3 of my ending/epilogue/future fanfic. The 5th, currently under work, actually brings her in.

Link is in the signature.

NO!! they are not space hippies! I refuse this idea. They are omnivores. Gerr!

No, vegans. They have steak trees.

(Actually, seriously, I think that the ability to meld would have a significant impact on diet, but they eat at least seafood c.f. Rupert.)

*pops into thread*  Steak Tree's where... I want one.... Give me a steak tree:P

and now down to business

@Ruby and @Neehs I like the dancing vids, although i have to echo that Anderson is kinda creeping me out in your's Ruby,  and Neehs  that was pretty funny but i have to say i prefer that Liara not do her best impression of Shepard:P

For the Armor discussion i have to say that i swap them pretty reguarly but i normally use the blue/silver commando armor, the justicar outfit, and her LOTSB outfit (with some of Sunnie's mods:D)  I still don't like the way that the headband looks with the red outfit but i think it would look better if the outfit itself was a different color, like black or dark blue.

As for Liara's looks i have to say that i prefer her ME3 texture to all of them and even though she looks bettter in LOTSB and ME3 than in ME1/2  I think she looks young enough in all of them.

The aquatic part comes all the way back from docomentary for ME1where the concept desinger for the Asari said that they were given an aquatic look to reflect their ancesetry (or they were designed to give an aquatic feel). Don't ask me for a link though as I have no idea where to find it.

At some point when clicking on him Javik says something along the lines of "the Asari used to have hair, untill they started mating with lizards"
I am still not sure whether he is being serious...Image IPB

So neither sources is hard and clear cut but still more than random guess work.

Okay its 04:00 AM where I am, off to bed, see you guys tomorrow Image IPB

Yeah. And maybe I'm just perverted (I am) but I totally thought that date scene was going to lead into Shep/Liara making love in that garden. Not like you were gonna write all that out, but thought it was gonna end with implying that was about to happen.

I definitely agree. ME3 is my favorite for her because of how detailed her skin is. I love that texture they gave her there.

This actually makes a lot of sense and works to explain some things like their coloration, and why they have tentacles on their head and such like that. I like it.

It can lead to whatever you want i ended it at watching the sunset, no word on what happened after,  so lots of *speculation*  for you and others;)

On a serious note i did think about that but i settled for a more innocent/classical romantic watch the sunset kind of thing, allowing you to figure out what happened afterwards,  maybe Joker got his vid after all..... or all of his ribs broken by Shepard when they got back to the Normandy:devil:

I'm imagining the outrage Shep/Liara have when Shep buys a copy of Fornax a month or two down the road and sees himself and Liara plastered throughout as a major segment.

well you know damn EDI can't keep her mouth shut, maybe Liara was right not to tell her anything.

edit:  Also I am now asking one of the wonderful artists here to make a picture of the above scenario

and what's this.... who is this Rana Liara never gave her permission to print this.... *realization dawns*  ahhh it is obviously Shepard's pen name.

Rana... the same rana thanoptis that ran off and committed suicide after killing a few Asari military officiers. They said it was indoctrination! ... it was only her fleeing for her life from shadow broker operatives after Liara found out her sex life had been publicized ...suicide was her only option in getting away really.

So, what do you see Liara doing after ME3? Since she's obviously not going to be stuck on that silly planet, at least not for long.

As a career I mean, so other than blue babies. Scientist, Intelligence Broker, Spectre, Ambassador, something else?

Well if you look at this realistically without any bioware hints in the way she is stuck in that planet with joker and one squadmate of yours with is always javik so she is going to write that book with him and on a few hundrent years the planet will be full with asari (if she melds of course with anyone) sad i know but true
If she is going to be rescued and live with shepard i see her as the shadow broker and maybe an advisor to the asari(like a matriarch) and signing autographs with shepard  ;)

What planet I don't see any uncharted planets. As far as Im concerned there was no star child, the crucible fired off from the console, disabled the reapers barriers and we began beating them conventionally, Liara made a daring charge into the beam to save her love and succeeded.

I have read several fanfics that have varying ideas about what she does. One I read that she stayed on Gilligan's Planet and did her archelogocial thing till Shepard showed up and they lived there. The last one I read she settled on Illium and was part time Shadow Broker and a curator at a Prothean Museum.

Now depending on what happens with the EC this summer and whether I have to go to my headcannon is going to be interesting. My headcannon is that Shepard retires from the Military and the council allows Shepard to keep their Specter status but not go on any missions. Liara keeps doing the Shadow Broker thing part time and I actually like the museum curator idea. Would give her plenty of time to raise a family and do her archeology thing that she loves so much. Shadow Broker on the side if she has any free time.

While this is how I'm currently feeling I have learned my lesson about blindly trusting promises from game developers. I do have faith in Weeks and his team so as long as they keep Hudson and Walters away from it then it should be alright. If the EC isn't very good then this will be how it ended for me too.

Im trying my best to not assume anything about the EC, I just have a horrible feeling that there will be a lot of hand waving at plot holes though extended convo with reaper boy, followed by Synthesis being further shoved down our throats.

Exactly the best Im hoping for is for Shepard to be able to see Liara again, I gave up hope for the ending to make any sort of cohesive sense a while ago, but we are getting off topic; BACK TO LIARA!

Edit: Id add a picture but i have no idea how :crying:

I actually think what Javik said was true, because it would explain the appearance of the asari. They were probably more mammalish early on, but then gained new features such as their head crests and textured skin after a long period of melding with a reptilian species.

It could of course just be him being racist, but it seems to make sense to me, and it would be a rather strange thing to just come up with.
