I can perfectly read fics where Liara is with someone that make sense, like Miranda or Kaidan. But Grunt? thats just too far-fetched for me.

I am far too sensitive for that, i can only read a ME fanfic if Liara is with Shepard AND it ends happy.

(I've been an all-femShep gal, but I want to branch out, and while I can do a Traynor/FemShep or Kelly/Shep just fine, I apparently CANNOT romance Liara as femShep. I start, I stare, I BEAT A SPEEDY RETREAT TO HIDE BEHIND JOKER).

RenShep in ME3 is just horrible to begin with (really, just bad). I guess the voice acting is the way it's supposed to be, though.

Meer's renegade is a "Over-the-top action hero" in ME1/2, it is good for comedic effect but for a more serious playthrough I think you should go paragon with BroShep. Meer's paragon is great in ME3 aswell.

That said, I have never had renegade Shep romancing Liara, I just do not feel that they work together.

All is just my opinion.

I completely agree with you Arcataye but I'm an eternal optimist. I fully expect there to be hand waving and something undesirable but I also think they realised that they did make a mistake and are going to correct it. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Wish I had your outlook. I'm a realist, bordering on pessimistic. I'm perfectly willing to wait for EC to come out, but my gut feeling is that this is going to be terrible. If I'm wrong, then I'll be ecstatic, but.... I just can't see how they will be able to "clarify" some of the plotholes, as the entire ending comes across as bad fanfiction. Filled with all kinds of novice narrative mistakes. Lots of hand waving to be made there, I'll bet, however it won't be a "clarification" and "closure" extended cut if it doesn't even address our concerns. Hand waving probably won't be a good thing.

Eh, I am saying this out of the assumption that at the very least, Walters will be involved with the EC, considering he's the lead writer. If Hudson is too, then my hopes for the EC to be good melt faster than ice cream left out in the middle of a hot Texan summer day. If, by some miracle, Hudson and Walters have been instructed to not even touch it, then my thoughts are significantly less depressing.

I think Meer makes a much better Paragon than he does Renegade, and I've always romanced Liara, as well. Take that for what you will.

Mark Meer is superior as a renegade from Jeniffer Hale from what i compare with youtube videos mostly i have play many times the ME games but always as a male-shep and mostly paragon but when i choose renegade options its awsome especially in ME2 he is a badass

I play FemShep most of the times because I don't like Meer's voice in ME1. He is getting better in ME2,3. But Jennifer Hale's voice is superious IMO. I compare some emotional scenes and Hale is better. Like in the date scene "Yeah that's actually pretty cute" "what was she like?". I like her voice in Kotor and it lead me to ME. Her voice works perfectly with Ali Hillis's voice. Just my opinion anyway.

That's about why I beat a retreat: the voice. She just sounds so.... squishy compared to my Shepard. And then I feel creepy and hide behind Joker. I'm not sure why he's a good living shield. Maybe it's just the potential for snacks by his desk. I figure I might have better luck with Meer, because Hale and Hills DOES NOT COMPUTE even remotely for chemistry in my brain.

Epic bromance, though. That, I see FemShep and Liara rocking with my Shepards. The "That's pretty cute, actually" sounds like something that'd happen with my buddies and me, so awesome.

That's the paragon lines, of course it has to show some compassions. Meer's voice in ME1 didn't show much emotions to me . I compared the scene after Virmire mission yesterday to make a video tribute. There is no accounting for taste, anyway.

Which is somewhat ironic considering Hale and Hillis are friends inreal life and both of them genuinely get a kick out of the FemShep / Liara romance. The two of them probably have the most genuine chemistry out of the cast.

I am quite okay with drama and the hero facing adversity. I am also content with Shepard possibly dying in the end.

What I do not like however, is the idea that Shepard is some sort of tragic hero that could not exist after the Reaper war. I do not see what is wrong with Shepard having a peaceful ending.

Shepard lives in Destroy Plus. It's in the original leaked script.

Bear with us! This shows that BioWare aren't ENTIRELY embedded to their space-magic-artistic-integrity, if they actually can consider doing more voice casting. Let's hope Casey Hudson has been tought some sence by the rest of the team
