Well, Kaidan is recording lines.
Guess that means we'll be hearing from Liara again soon.
I can't get excited about the extended cut. It's the same ending, Shepard dies, universe screwed, No little blue children.
The first time sitting throught the ending was hard enough, I don't want salt in the wound.
Shepard lives in Destroy Plus. It's in the original leaked script.
Yeah, you killed the Geth, and maybe Edi, but hey, you wanted to free the galaxy from the Reaper threat, and do what you promised to do.
"Each of us must be willing to die in order to save humanity. Anything less, and they've already won".
Just killing them seems like a ****ty thing to do.

If you refer to the Geth then there is a way to stop the Reapers without killing them.
Just take control, the only sacrifice there is Shepard's humanity.

No offense to you and any other guy that have played with the fem-shep just my opinion. If someone is playing Fem shep just because they think the voice acting is better ..is really silly ME trilogy wants you to play and choose what feels right to you as a person not because you like the her voice better thats why i will never play as fem shep i actually tried once i close the game after a few minutes its like shooting mordin for me i dont hate her though at allrubynorman wrote...
I can't quote because of my cheap mobiphone. I don't play as FShep to see the girl x girl actions. It's because I like Hale's voice and some other reasons. I think Hale and Hillis voice are perfect together even if there wasn't any sex scene. I'm currently having a paragon Liara romance broshep playthrough. I just prefer FShep's voice and character. A woman can be a hero too.

Huh I must not have got the "How to play Mass Effect" manual when I bought the game back in 2008. I did what I normally did for every other RPG ever made including the ones that were on paper and had real people in the party. I made a character not a doppelganger.

HNM: @GambleMike so the product was incomplete and the DLC will complete it so it can be understood by your customers? Honest question.
Gamble:@HappyNerdMedia absolutely not. Honest answer.
HNM:@GambleMike Then the DLC has nothing we dont have now in terms of narrative. Take questions and direct people in the story to the answer. That is simpler then spending money/time/development resources. Or you cant direct people to answers on the ending within the narrative and need the DLC, which makes the product incomplete.
That means they are just going to explain the fact that Shepard dies/or takes a breath for .3 of a second, the relays explode and the universe is screwed, instead of making an ending or more endings that people will actually like.

Well, I'm a female gamer and exclusively play Femshep, but the opposite is true regardless. I cannot play Manshep because of his voice. Meer's VA is not appealing to me at all. With a game so heavy in voice acting and performances it is important that you enjoy them because you will, in all likelihood be playing this game for 20+ hours. When something grates on your nerves every single one of those hours, then the game rapidly becomes unenjoyable. Yes, ME is largely about "choices" but it is also a form of entertainment. There is a balance between the two. Having choices in VA for your Shepard is ironic in the sense that it does play on Mass Effect's desire to have you make them....

Enough with the negativity. Of course they won't say their product is incomplete, that's just crazy.
This is also off-topic.

That said my headcanon is strong enough now that it will survive no matter what happens, so even if I remain hopeful that Weeks and Co. can pull of somthing suitable I am prepared for the fact that it might make the official ending even worse.

Yeah making that ending worse....well that would be quite the accomplishment. I'm just hoping someone like Weekes is allowed to have some imput into the ending this time.

Yea same here, I have a fairly detailed account (in my head) of what happens once we start the charge to the beam (with multiple endings too!). Actually working on some dialogue with those scenes too

No problem with lots of downtime, although I did kill off Anderson in my headcanon, I couldn't let Shepard and co live without some pain, plus i needed Shep to lose someone important for remembering, and i was suprised that they didn't kill off Anderson sooner since having the mentor die is normally a pretty integral part of the hero's path. But in the end Shep and Liara are happy together running around rebuilding the galaxy and then settling down with a few kids although i do think i have to change one of my stories were i offhandedly may have implied that Anderson is still alive

Thats actually part of a mechanic in mine, once you beat the boss and the battle cutscene finishesd (theres a hacket speech), you get a timer based on your EMS that you have to escape the citadel within, and when the timer starts you have the option of either leaving anderson or picking him up and bringing him with you but you move slower like that so you better have enough time if you wanna survive

I figure I might have better luck with Meer, because Hale and Hills DOES NOT COMPUTE even remotely for chemistry in my brain.
Which is somewhat ironic considering Hale and Hillis are friends inreal life and both of them genuinely get a kick out of the FemShep / Liara romance. The two of them probably have the most genuine chemistry out of the cast.
That may very well be why I 'hear' them as friends more, and a couple less. Or it could just be my spin on it.
OH NO, TOP.
Is this an acceptable sacrifice, Liara thread?

You and your squad make it up to the citadel unharmed anderson as well, make it to the control panel and you encounter TIM and the conversation flows as normal (you can renegade or paragon him to **** himself) but before you can activate the crucible Harbinger will control TIM (ala saren and sovereign in ME1) que a boss battle.
Now in this boss battle you have a timer and its based on your EMS, the higher the EMS the higher the timer. The timer represents how much time you have to defeat the boss before Harbinger arrives to destroy the citadel and crucible. If you do not beat the boss before the alotted time you have your bad ending, reapers win citadel destroyed cycle continues.
Now if you do defeat the boss Shepard activates the crucible and the beam discharges and is spread throughout the galaxy by the relays (relays at worst are deactivated at best undamaged) following this is a speech from hacket to the galactic armada explaining the repaers barriers are down as is there ability to communicate with each other, he then orders every ship in the sol system to engage the reapers. What follows is a scene similar to what I described a few posts earler.
Cut back to the citadel Anderson is shot and the citadel is exploding/breaking up once again a timer appears based on your EMS and it represents how much time you have until the citadel is destroyed. You now have 2 options pick up anderson, or leave anderson either way you yell to your squad to go ahead of you. If you dont get to the part you entered the citadel at in time shepard dies que an ending/epilogue sequence complete with a funeral for shep. If you do make it to the entrance an explosion occurs very near you and sends you badly hurt flying through beam and back down to earth.
Granting shep gets to the entrance in time your LI finds you among the rubble barely conscious, que dramatic teary eyed scene between them with "I was lost without you" song in background and it ends with Shep losing consciousness. Once again EMS will determine whether Medics arrive fast enough to save shep.
The following scene is an epilogue that includes: sheps funeral if medics didnt arrive fast enough, or scene with your LI if they did the result of the war and its casualties (based on EMS) and epilogues for your crew and friends.
whew, sorry for the long post but i had the desire to post what is essentially my head cannon, I have actual dialogue between shep and love interest in the rubble (for me its always Liara XD) and for hackets speech.
Im not a programmer so I would never presume to say this would be easy to implement but this is what I would have killed to see in game.
my head cannon
kinda came up with it on the spot a while ago.
EDIT: this came from a different thread I posted in, and here is the battle scene I reference in the description.
I wanted to se wrex charging into a group of husks with garrus providing long range cover, I wanted to see grunt leading his new company into battle along side kirrahe and the stg, I wanted to see the geth and quarians fighting side by side to take down a soverign class reaper, I wanted to see Liara and Javik taking down a group of canibals and banshees.
