just because he is a normal soldier? he is not that bad i actually wanted to have that drink with him at Rio

A combination of the forced flirting with him and the fact that he denounces any relationship Shepard has in ME3, saying Shepard only cares about the Normandy and could never settle down.

Agreed. Though playing a MShep I did not have the flirting problem, I did not really have a problem with him in ME2, a little bland but okay.
But in the third that "the Normandy is your true love" line really changed that , I there is one thing I am not taking lightly it is the love for Liara.

If Shepard had either contradicted him with either dialog or interrupt or Liara (if present) had interrupted instead of that lousy auto-dialog I might have felt different, but as it is I feel the urge to hit him every time that line comes up.

I don't really see Tali as LI material, even if I could play as Manshep. However, I still love her. She's like a little sister.

When she told me she wanted to link suits with me, I took that as more of a platonic sign of the ultimate trust. Guess it could go either way though.... Anyway, since I only have sisters, characters like Tali, Miranda and Ashley make it ridiculously easy for me to relate to them.

That "Normandy is your true love" line bugged me too. It's perfectly fine IF he only said it to a Shep with no romance OR you could correct him. As it was I was really not liking that I couldn't direct his attention towards Liara.

Sure you are both right i didnt like that either but after that he says"you cant" which it kinds of justifies why he said it you cant give up because we all need you in a kind of way

So how do you folks think Liara likes her coffee?

Does she enjoy it with cream and sugar? Or does she simply drink it pure?

Perhaps she started out with cream and sugar to fit her personality. However, with her Shadow Broker dealings, I'd imagine she'd take it straight. If only to spare the extra few seconds it would take to add cream and sugar. She comes off as a workaholic at times....

That sounds like a good theory. Liara could not afford the time it took to add the additonal ingredients.

I like to think that she was first introduced to coffee in ME1 and instantly fell in love with the drink.

I never really cared about that line of dialogue to be honest. I kind of just took it in stride mainly because that whole talking to Jacob sequence seemed kinda off to me. He seems kinda hazy throughout those conversation options.

The way he talks, the things he says, the weird pauses he has just seem really off and not Jacob to me. Looking back on it I, along with Shepard, kinda figured that Jacob must have been working on several days without sleep, the stress of caring for all those scientists and their families, the blood loss from being shot not just a few minutes ago, and whatever drug that doctor might have given him for the pain. All that combined would certainly explain his haziness and rather OOC-ness to me.

The fact that when you meet him later at the hospital he seems a lot more energetic and Jacob-like only clinches it for me. Also, at least in the case of the ME1 romances, they weren't on the ship during ME2 so Jacob might not know just how serious the relationship really is. Thus, I and my Shepard don't hold that line against Jacob. Besides, my Shepard knows what he loves most.

I guess I don't really dislike Tali as a character... when I read some posts above I came to realize I actually see her as a sister aswell ^^

What I DO dislike is her arrogant and overwhelming fanbase.

If we're judging characters based on only the most ravenous and fringe members of their fanbase, then no character would be safe.
