but for now I'll pick up Austen, Dickens, etc.

My problem is I've got like...20 pages of A Dance with Dragons left and then I'm out of new novels for the most part. ;)

Although I think I've got all the Sherlock Holmes stuff about here somewhere...maybe I'll read that.

I’m gathering up the big list of fanfic on the Fan Creations forum. Maybe there’s some new Garrus/whatever there, if only Liara stuff is risky?

It's just FShep/Liara & MShep/Ashley that I avoid ... I have read a few Liara with Miranda, MSheps with Liara, etc. I've seen your thread (cool) and I plan on using it for other character fan fic stories in the ME universe. Posted Image

Got another Liara one-shot I think you folks will appreciate.

Hands Off!

Am just starting into the femShep + Liara fanfics so this is a nice one. Thanks for the link! Though I'm somewhat thrown off by the first name for Shepard since that's not what I used for my own Shep.Still a great read though.

Jane is actually the default name for fshep, so I can see why Iilya used it. It's like with Chrono Trigger you can name the characters yourself in-game, but they all have  default names..So when you write for Chrono trigger it's easir for people to asscociate with the default names, as opposed to what the writer named the characters in-game.

Indeed.  When I'm writing stories for my canon!Shep, I use the name Nora, since she has her own personal story to deal with.

Otherwise, I just use Jane or a rather everyday name for a woman when the situation of the story calls for it.

I.e. For a manipulative and seductive Shepard that can make anyone do whatever she wants, I use Lilith.  For a high minded and almost Paladin-like shepard, fueled by righteous fire, I'd use Celestine.  You get the idea.

It was a fun little read, I also like the allusion to BW's more than questionable shower wear

Liara doesn't bother with something so frivalous, if her love scene and the subsequent morning afterward are of any indication.

But yeah, if Shepard wasn't already enamored with either Liara (or Ashley, barring the asari, curse you, Bioware, for not giving femshep the option!), she'd be scolding Traynor for ruining her clothes!

I'm too used to Shepard because that's what everyone calls her / him so I always think of the char in that way, even though I have given my own Shep a first name. Just like what good old Dr Chakwas said.  Posted Image  Seems like a scariledge to address Shepard by anyhting other than ... Shepard Posted Image

I posted a review on FF.net. I was the second one that reviewed it. I really loved the jab at BW for the shower thing too, that was excellent!

Ya know, I always wonder if people ever see the subtle references I make in my stories to things like that.  Thank you. :)

Hi guys. Dang, missed a crap load of stuff today....

Well, here's a question for y'all. What is the plural for asari? I like to think it is its own plural form. However, I see many a fanfic writer that like to use "asaris" and that just doesn't look right to me. Like it wouldn't be grammatically correct.... Given that I want to be a book editor in the future, I place more importance over this stuff than I probably should, but I'm of the opinion that a fic without proper grammar breaks immersion....

There's one asari and then there's a squad of asari.

So, you're right in scrutinizing 'asaris' in the plural sense.

I think it’s generally agreed it’s asari, as with krogan, volus, hanar, elcor (although I have seen elcors a little more often than the others). Salarians, turians, and humans are the only ones pluralized normally that I can think off headtop.

How about ‘a wave’ of asari? Or ‘a sky’ of asari? A ‘squad’ seems so mundane, like ‘flock’ or something.

A wave is good.  Mostly because of their connection to the sea and all that.

It is asari and yet I used asaris in A Thessian's Whisper. What was I thinking? Aaack!

A reader punched me for it and I was really grateful because I knew it yet there I was ... a.s.a.r.i.s. Idiot!

I'll go back and correct when I have time and probably make yet more updates to chapters when I do.
