Hey, Blue Brigade! I'm on vacation now, so I don't have much time to spend on the internet. I saw the new Liara footage and I like her look, I have to say. I like the LOTSB version the best right now, but this new version isn't bad.

I have plans for new Liara-related photoshops, and I haven't forgotten about your request, Lizard!

PS, There's a new chapter of Who We Are up, right?

[edit] dayum, thats a great shot of liara. seein that serious face is so refreshing after playin mass effect recently and gettin the 'oh dear, im so tired' and 'please shepard, save me' looks

i really prefer any version with darker lip color, that lil bit of contrast works so much better. liara has a very limited color palate, anything that keeps her features from washing out in a sea of blue

The super white scalp is going to have to grow on me. Rest I like. The white just sticks out way too much for me. I do hope they keep her in the armor though. I love that.

Liaras face looks wierd in the ingame image, looks like one of those models that you create by folding up card, an example of this was on this forum somewhere.

The lip colour and the absence of Liara's vibrant blue eyes I can live with and I will probably get used to it. But looking at the TOP Liara pic I really dislike the white scalp. That's something I just can't ignore. For the love of the goddess I do hope at least that gets changed back.

Looking at the other Liara screens from the level up screen, her scalp isn't nearly as white as in the actual game footage. How much of this is just lighting I wonder...

Edit: So there's another ME3 live Q&A scheduled for.. I think it's today. Anyone has a twitter account and feels like asking the question why Liara's face model is being changed again while we still have the (superior looking) Lotsb skin they spent so much time on before?

EDIT:Never mind, Robhuzz.  They said to post questions on a certain account, so I sent one that asking why they keep changing Liara's look when they changed her look for LotSB.   Why not use that?

They mentioned something about 9 something Pacific time(I'm on the east coast and Eastern time.) was the next Q&A.  I sent them a question.  Now if it actually gets answered or not is anyone's guess.

EDIT:This page is really lacking in the blue department.  Let's correct that shall we.

It looks white in the lvl up screen when you look at her in HQ
And i dont know why, but she looks overal old, i dont know if is because of the way they did the "scaly" skin, the white scalp, the little hint of green on her skin, or all together.
I wish they would post a HQ close up of her to have better opinions, because sadly not all were able to play the demo. And who knows, maybe the computers we were able to play with had a tweaked monitor, and what i saw was different than the original

It looks white in the lvl up screen when you look at her in HQ

Shep change from M1 to M2, but there's a reason why at least, Shep skin got reconstructed completely after dying and makes sense that there's no more scars, and why they very much removed that option from the customization screen in M2

Liara's changes makes no sense in the other hand, except if that they come up with an ingame explanation about asaris changing when they're pregnant or something lol. We know is just a redesign, but they're redesigning her way too much in my opinion

Which is why I'm really hoping for this question to come through during a live Q/A. Sending it to casey's twitter will probably yield a response like: "We're not done with her face model yet". But when asked in a live Q/A why they're going through all this trouble downgrading the superior Lotsb model for use in ME3 I'm really not sure what kind of answer we should expect. At the very least it'll become apparent to BioWare that the Liara fans in general (At least those who are active on the BSN) DO NOT LIKE this change. And looking at all the fuss over the new default FemShep model it seems BioWare is willing to go through all this trouble to satisfy the fans.

I agree, the LotSB redesign underlined the changes to herm the lips and the eyes were the focus point of Liara.

The me 3 look just scratches that, as if LotSB never happened, and that really sucks.

I can come up with one explanation, but even that doesn't make sense.  Her body is changing from maidan to matron.  But at her age, it doesn't fit.  Maybe we will get an answer.  But I hightly doubt it.

Well there is still plenty of time to implement change or whatever so I have no fears that BW hasn't heard about the ultra-white scalp already several times over. It could very well be just the lighting and not to mention it was just a trailer mainly showing off combat among other things. Broken Record= Plenty of time before release.

We can hope, but Liara's look has changed since the E3 demos.  That is my concern.  The game isn't out for 6 and half months, but I don't see them doing too much changing from what they have planned in the next three months.  After that, I see QA and production of discs and that stuff takes time to before it gets released.

Sounds to me the game is almost complete if he is doing a full playthrough.

The reason I thought Liara looked different in LoTSB was because she was ambushed at her home, so she didn't really have time to do her usual cosmetic touches eg the whiter scalp, pink lipstick (maybe contact lenses for her eye's)

I just assumed her look in LoTSB was more her natural way of looking without cosmetics as I don't think Asari lips are natural pink and they have talked about letting the scalp go back to there natural blue (think that's from the Asari with the Krogan BF)

I could be wrong of course but that's what I assumed lol.

That doesn't explain how she looked when she went on her "date" with Shepard.  She changed clothes for it.  Grabbed Shepard's dogtags, but she didn't have time to put on lipstick and what not?
