I can't even tell what's going on in that. It looks like Liara merged with Zordon from Power Rangers? What?
Damnit now I have the image of shepard fighting an overgrown bug in a giant robot with the normandy transformed as its head

Ha! I thought exactly the same thing. I'm guessing that isn't what its supposed to be though, right?

Guaranteed Shep would end up crushing a few skyscrapers in the fight, well that's what happened in power rangers anyway (never questioned that when I was a kid though).

lol that achievement in Overlord would have been great. I would have been happy with the option to destroy all screens and any surface the weird green eyes and face appeard....god, it always surprised me...and not in a good way. SCARY!
And yeah...once I figured you could take the cameras out I did it too

Of course, it's common knowledge that shooting AI-controlled cameras is a must.

Especially when the said AI keeps throwing things at me that keep trying to kill me while screeching in my ear "please make it stop" - it was all very disconcerting, seems only fair I take out a few of it's eyes and give myself a small illusion of privacy/comfort and place a false confidence that I could maybe have an upper hand/tactical advantage/ or fighting chance in this facility over-run by its own ''brilliant'' experiment...Tyranniac wrote...

My thoughts exactly!
I can see that it is meant to show Shepard's last thought of Liara before blowing up the tube in the destroy ending. But the whole thing with Liara in the middle looking like Zordon makes it comical.

I wonder how many people were shocked and freaked out when they first heard Liara say that.
I still remember all the people who said Liara had fallen to the dark side.

Judging by the unused audio found on the ME2 disc, it seems like that was the direction they were planning on going. However, if that was the plan, because of complaints, they dropped it.

Not sure. Didn't the unused audio files simply state that Bioware intented to have the SB plotline be resolved in the game. And not much else?

Just the way that she still wanted to go on a killing spree because "They have to pay" after killing the Broker, Shepard telling Liara not to become the thing she's hunting, and the way they end Liara becoming the Shadow Broker in LOTSB with the odd music note (if not romancing her) tells me they wanted Liara to go darker in the future, but dropped it.

Not freaked but I was definately crestfallen, I was really sad untill I found the scene where she opened up to Shepard on my third playthrough, that gave me hope enough untill LotSB arrived.Lizardviking wrote...

Yeah, the files originally on the disc when the game launched hinted at a much darker, much less satisfying, much lower quality LotSB. I am so glad they listened to complaints and changed it up instead of going with what they had originally - not to mention it seemed like the original plans were to basically drop Liara as a romance because of the stress over the Shadow Broker and her kindof...going dark there.

I think the picture scene was what gave me hope for the future of the romance.

Oh? I feel like I have been told this before but forgotten it. In any rate I am much more glad they did not stick with it, Liara does not need to be consumed by vengence more than she already was.
