So, on one hand, it bores me. On the other, since I handwrite everything before typing, I do spot things I wouldn't have just typing it directly and people get a much better written fic. That, and the type up is the time I devote to rearranging things and editting out dumb ideas or jokes or just adding to a good idea. After that, I just try to read it over again at least twice to spot any grammar and spelling mistakes I made.....
But, yeah... I decided to go for something relatively easy instead of the AUs I typically write. For one thing, I don't think there's much room for an AU before the ending to ME3. Usually, I write AUs because I'm disappointed with how the canon did something and I'll ease that by changing it into something that I felt would have worked. And AUs tend to be massive projects, or at least mine do, since I usually only change one relatively small thing and compound it over time to seep into the main universe. Kinda like a ripple effect.
Anyway, I decided to write out my Femshep's relationship with Liara. I did change somethings though, since I am used to writing AUs, but the goal here is to make it feel like the ME1 romance without just rehashing the same dialogue we've all heard for the past five or so years. Not only is that boring to write, but I figured it would be boring to read. We like hearing it in the game, but the main reason I read fics is to see what other players think about the universe and to read their own personalized accounts of their own Sheps. I'll also throw in some chapters that aren't influenced by the conversations we get in-game, considering that Shep and Liara had to have spoken more than three times before doing the deed.
So, yeah, that's what it's going to be. Haven't decided if it's going to encompass the whole series, since I'm trying to get back into the saddle here, but I'd expect this fic to land here probably tomorrow since I'm off and have nothing to do in RL.....

1) Create a statue of Liara in a 3D program.
2) Order a 3D print of that Liara model you made from a 3D printer company.
3) Paint the statue when you get it.
4) Now you're the owner of an unique Liara statue.
100mm tall plastic statue would cost about $70. If you want a golden statue then it's $4100, haha.

My Liara statue would look like something a three-year-old would gift to her mother for Mother's Day, unfortunately. My artistic leanings are more towards words. Rather than painting, drawing, sculpting... yeah, that stuff I'm reeeaaaallly crappy with.
EDIT: Got a question while I'm typing. Is "Protheans" capitalized? As in, "The Prothean researcher mulled over the commander's words." (Just a random sentence

Now, if only I could find a program for managing fanfics and other documents. I use MediaMonkey for managing my music and video collection and it makes life so much easier when I can browse my files based on genre, artist, titles, custom tags, and so on. Not to mention being able to automatically rename files based on metadata information. However, MediaMonkey doesn't support text documents and I haven't found a similar program for this purpose yet.
Just in case someone is looking for something similar, I ended up downloading Calibre, which seems to cover my needs well so far.

Yes, Prothean is one of the few species that are capitalized in Mass Effect. (As far as I can recall, Collectors and Reapers are the only other ones.)

Fantastic. Now I won't have to use ctrl+F to change anything.
EDIT: Facinating. It seems as if Liara makes the list for many player's hottest top 5, yet they hate on her relentlessly. She even got the most #1 votes if that tally on page 7 is accurate. Hmmm, what does this mean, I wonder? Do many people love Liara subconsciously, or is she simply something pretty to look at, regardless of their criticisms...?

I noticed that at some point…I’ve just continued lowercasing it like any other species except for Reapers and Collectors because I consider the latter two special designations rather than the actual names of the species.

I think I will write a story about Liara and my Shep's relationship in ME1 too. An innocent Shep with spacer and war hero as her background. If things aren't going well, maybe my Shep will turn out to be another Mary Sue. XD
Most stories about Liara and Shep that I read are colonist/earthborn Sheps. I think with my spacer Shep, my story will focus on the humourous and romantic aspects of their relationship. My English and my poor writting skill are gonna be big problems for me.

Thinking over it, isn't all the most attractive ladies in Mass effect asari?
Just think about it. Samara, Liara, Aria, purple Shiala, Tela Vasir and councilor Tevos are undoubtly the most pretty faces you can find in the games.

Benezia is definitely the worst looking Asari.
Which is due pretty much entirely to her outfit - it's ridiculous, especially that hat. She doesn't even look like an Asari, to me. Would've been really nice to see her in different clothes or especially not wearing that hat, she'd look a lot better.

How dare you speak against the "evil alien queen outfit", especially the hat! How can you hate the hat?
Just imagine Liara in a similiar outfit!
