So a general question to all: BioWare have said that they're going to make all relationships more in-depth. How do you think they'll do it? Where will the conversations take place?
I'd like to see more not just in terms of dialogue when on the ship but also opportunities to discuss decisions and hear opinions before making critical choices. This needs to be balanced of course as you don't want to have a 10 minute conversation about where to aim a bomb as a 5 minute times ticks down.
There will probably be one or two moments in Shepard's cabin like in Shadow Broker where Shepard can have a chance to drop some of their exterior and open up a bit. I'm not sure at what times something like that would be appropriate since we don't really have an idea of how the story will flow. But there definitely should be a few moments like that where it just Shepard and Liara privately, and not just near the end.
It would be nice if Liara and Shepard were close right from the start, I'd actually categorize it as insulting if we were forced to "earn" the right to be close to her. Assuming of course you hadn't slept around in ME2 and got some Liara sugar in Shadow Broker. I'm not saying she should be like a sex pez dispenser you can hit up whenever you want ten seconds after she gets on the Normandy, but honestly that would be a hell of a lot better than one scene at the "oh no, we might all die, let's get it on" moment.
I'd like to see something like the crew meetings from ME1 return in general, where you had a chance to discuss what had happened and where you're going from there after major decisions. It sounds like we're taking a galactic tour of homeworlds in ME3, so you'd definitely think that say Liara would have some opinion on how you handle things on Thessia, same with the other people and their worlds. And sometimes that means they should be mad at what Shepard has done, no more of this woodenly accepting whatever Shepard does.
I'm hoping that Liara as the Shadow Broker at least translates into some in depth planning sessions with her between major decisions. I'd definitely enjoy those much better than listening to TIM lecture and dictate what puppet Shepard is going to do next.
I guess the short answer would be that I want interactions with her throughout the story with several emotional payoffs, instead of some general conversations followed by "we're going to die" sex near the end.
