Okay, you guys were right. I was thinking of a completely different - but similar - fanfic when I made those comments. I hadn't actually read Taken, I just thought I had.

Taken is a very well done fanfic, I'll say this. I do like the idea that it's just an unconscious, involuntary thing Asari do - a side effect of the bonding process being so intimate, and you could even say there's some residue from all that biotic energy Asari release, too.

And you're right - it does bring out the "alien"-ness in Liara, even further. That she can't help it, it's just something Asari do - but at the same time, it's not something she ever thought about either, because it's just a part of who Asari are, in their culture it's just accepted so it just didn't occur to her that Shepard would need it explained to her.

I did like all the Asari Shepard walked by noticing it in some form, and reacting differently. It's a brief glimpse into the way Asari view other races, and even their own kind - the maidens giggled about it, while the matriarch just gave her a knowing, amused wink basically.

And of course - again, as you guys have said, Liara's reaction to being confronted about it is really in character - she's embarrassed by it and doesn't want to seem too possessive or controlling of Shepard, especially since Shep didn't really get a say in that marking specifically being present.

Joining, both of them had learned, was an extremely useful tool for sharing thoughts or images during lovemaking. It was also the only way that Liara could truly achieve orgasm, since she needed another sentient mind to connect to.

Loved how Rae described the delight that Shep took in the fact that Liara really needed her to orgasm, like my renegade Shep isn't arrogant enough as it is and now add this to my headcannon:D

Also in regards to the asari pheromone marking I thought it was rather cute that Liara couldn't help it and how flustered she became when Shep quized her about it, only other asari could detect it, I liked that primal element too. I think Liara can show flashes of jealousy now and again, it's only natural take for example if your Shep has been unfaithful to her in LOTSB she calls you out on it and cuts her love rival down to size, the Thane one was particularly harsh but I've never or will I ever cheat on lovely Liara.

Taken is a good story, just read it myself. It does sound like something that could work with existing canon and what we know about the asari - definitely something more alien to add. And Aethyta was very well-written - I can just picture her saying these things in-game. Liara reacts the way I'd expect her to.

Shepard's frustrations with the fetch quests, however, made it even more humorous.

Hi, I'm not afraid to do a naked Liara. I am a fan of FemShep the same as Liara , especially their relationship. And because every other doing Liara, so I focused on FemShep. But still I prefer more intimacy rather than a fully naked look.

No no no! People misinterpreted what I was trying to say. And that's my fault, I should have worded things better. 

No, I love your work! Its amazing! I was just curious as to why we see naked femsheps but not Liara's. That's all. Wasn't criticizing you or anyone. Just wondering why no one seems to want to do a naked Liara. I think it could be both intimate and romantic. Who says that being naked can't be intimate? It's VERY intimate. 

I would just love to see someone's interpretation of a nude Liara. I haven't seen it done yet, and I find it interesting. Different people could have different imaginings of what she would look like. I loved the description Rae provided in "Ilos Can Wait" , but it was verbal. I've yet to see anyone attempt it with art. And thats the only thing that has puzzled me. Regardless, I find your and Neehs work to be amazing. I only wish ya'll did more with MShep considering I'm not a huge femshep user. That's just me though.

I have to admit I never paid particular attention to Banshee anatomy because I just viewed them as enemies to be mowed down, albeit with a feeling of pity for the unfortunate AY. And even when someone pointed out about the Banshees on BSN, I just went; um, well ok. .... what's the fuss?

I'm just a plain --> shoot, kill player.  Any other details I may or may not pay a mind to.

I totally agree, she really does a great job portraying the different sides of Liara's character, particularly the inquisitive but awkward and easily embarrassed scientist that's just to damn cute to resist...

Definately gotta QFT. Thats one of the reasons I like Rae's FanFics. She is very good at writing Liara and Shepard together.

Wowza.  That was pretty damn good. Though it bothers me that it's not a 3d model. It looks like a photoshopped stock photo of a human female body, with Liara's head. I could be wrong. Still, very artsy and lovely.

But I'm more referring to 3d modeling, and curious why someone hasn't done it there.

I don't think Pineapple's b/w picture is what Makrys is talking about - I could be wrong, and Makrys can feel free to correct me if I am.

But, compare the image presented in "Illos can Wait", compared to Pineapples picture. To me, Pineapples picture comes across like a model posing for an artistic nude in a studio somewhere. It's a very professional and well, sanitary picture.

I'd say the image presented in "Illos can Wait" is a rather more raw, passionate, powerful image of Liara/Shep displaying their love for eachother. It's a completely different setting and style.

Sure, Liara is naked in both, but one is for the purposes of posing for a photo op, and the other is for purposes of making love.

Yeah, I was referring more to a 3d model. Pineapple's looked very realistic, and while it was beautiful, was not what I was wondering about.

And yes, Rae's depiction of Liara was subtle yet so lovely. Really a very believable interpretation. I loved it. It had a 'different yet familiar' feel; it gave Liara an 'alien' feel while still being very relatable.

I think that Aethyta left the Citadel after the coup to find Liara's half-sister, and/or maybe her granddaughter (which would be Liara's neice). Wouldn't that be cool if it's Neeota is Liara's half-siste, she's the wife of human female soilder who is in the Embassies after the coup and trying to get her daughter to Thessia. Maybe if Bioware does the rumored Retake Omega DLC they could reveal who is Liara's half-sister.

Yeah I understand you, especially if you play for MaleShep .
I know that nobody does a naked Liara in conjunction with 3D. Even if, they are people who make „nasty things“ with remade Liara's model..., but I rather prefer the romance, funny, cute things and sometimes something lightly erotic.
FemShep is my favorite character, so I did „Hot times“.
And with Liara.. i dont know, maybe in time.. I also have to increasingly less time for that work.

Hm, I'm not sure what you mean by 3d model. Pineapple's notes under the picture state that he used Liara's 3d model and textures from the game, which he imported into 3dsmax to create the scene. And of course he added the nipples that were missing from the in-game model - not sure if he added them directly to the model or only later in photoshop, I would guess the former.
So the picture quite literally does depict Liara's in-game 3d model. I'm guessing you're referring to something else, but I'm not quite sure what.

And while we're on the subject of pineapple's picture - to me it seems to capture the exact moment in A Thessian's Whisper when Liara decides to rejoin her mother's party and acknowledge Nicia as her lover (chapter 8). I'd seen the picture before I read the story and when I got to that particular scene the picture just seemed to fit it perfectly.

True. But it didn't *look* like a 3d model. It looked real. Which is fine, but not the *look* I was referring to. Regardless, it was beautiful, though I wish it was color. Her blue is part of what makes her so attractive. Love her blue.

Liara can't get enough attention from me presently. Writing from her point of view is challenging and very fun. Her anti-social behavior she alludes to was quite similar to mine growing up, so I guess that's what makes it really fun. It's great when you can find similarities between characters and yourself. And then, I also have to respect our differences, which is also great because it's even more fun to realize that they are their own people....

Aww.... Well, you aren't the only one to get hit by RL and/or writer's block it seems. Nearly all the fics I'm following haven't been updated recently.  But, it's not like I can say much. *cough*six month hiatus*cough* Oh, will my followers be ecstatic when I finally update my other fics.
