Well it's also hard not to notice that Liara is also more generously well- endowed in ME3 in comparision to ME and ME2. Some fanfic writers have referenced this fact and interprete it as Liara entering the matron stage early because of her regular melding unions with Shep. Who knows, maybe it's just her mom's good genes:whistle:

Hmm, bit of a leap on the Matron theory.  Maybe she just got a better bra?  lol

Nah, asari don't wear bras.

Now 'asari commandos' has a whole new meaning lol.

Just recalling Harbinger's quotes on the different species of the galaxy where he mentions their shortcomings, it just got me thinking if some asari would make a conscious decision to bond with a particular race to better the genetic diversity of their people. Some of course would bond for love but would others look into the union logically rather than emotionally? Just interested me.

Harbinger's quote on the asari, reliance upon alien species for reproduction shows genetic weakness.

Well, Liara herself explains it in ME1.

Well, to be fair I only mentioned bras, not panties... you pervert ;). Though I have joked before that Liara may not even wear those... would explain why she's the only one actually naked in love scenes and why Virmire sand seems to bother her so much .

Change of topic, any other femshep players pissed at the forced flirting between her and Vega? Really wish you could put a stop to it (or better yet, let Liara have a 'quiet word' with Mr. Vega).

I'm a little late to the party on this one but I'll comment anyway. At times it does seem annoying but honestly the more I think about it the more it seems like good natured picking. I look at it more as Vega is so narcissistic and in love with the way he looks that Shepard is picking on him for being so in love with himself that he doesn't see anything else. But yea I would have loved to see some dialogue between Vega and Liara about how Shepard is taken and Vega better keep his grubby paws off. I like the way that Meladark did it in DE3 honestly. There was another FF I read that had Liara call down while Vega was flirting with Shepard and threaten to shove a singularity up his arse.

I know it's rather perverted, but for some reason I like to think that Asari just don't wear underwear. It's part of the reason I don't like all those images of Liara posing in, or stripping out of, sexy underwear. Asari, for some reason or another, just never developed it.

I actually thought the flirting was hilarious, especially making him stumble over himself when he's getting the tattoo, the way I roleplay it sheps relationship with liara is a well known fact, the vega flirting is harmless in that he knows full well he's not getting anywhere

Yeah I get that but I'm just looking at it from lets say how a woman may choose a donar to impregnate herself. Making a logically decision in regards to a good genetic match for their offspring.  I remember that angry asari on Illium who said that 'we don't need your alien dna to randomise our genetic code, a little radiation would work just as well.' Yeah I know she was bitter about what happened to her bondmate and kids, and I guess it's just speculation, just thought it could be a possibility for some asari,
but I think the majority would enter into a union for love.;)

Also asari bras, structural weakness lol:D

Well, I would imagine they wear panties at least in some situations, for reasons of practicality or comfort if nothing else. Like under combat armour or when digging through prothean ruins. Or among other species if the rest of their outfit is too revealing :).
But with casual everyday outfits, especially when among their own kind, yeah, I think no underwear at all actually makes a lot of sense for asari.

Well, that's actually how I understood what Liara says. If it's just a one-time encounter I imagine it's precisely because the asari considers that particular partner a good genetic match. Or at least she considers them a hot one time lay, but that's basically the same thing, just disguised by aeons of evolutionary instincts =]

Combat armor seems to usually include wearing tight, form fitting bodysuits underneath it though - look at Liara's LotSB armor for example - and I don't think they'd wear underwear under that! And as for casual clothing - look at how comfortable the robes and dresses they wear look, and Asari are more open sexually, so I just can see them not caring to do it.

Especially among their own kind, where their own culture is prevalent.

Good point about bodysuits under armour, bad example on my part. Still, there's plenty of situations where wearing something/anything to cover or protect such a sensitive area of the body would make sense. That's why I think even asari would have come up with some kind of underwear, even if they otherwise don't usually wear it.

As for casual clothing, maybe I didn't express myself clearly before, but I actually completely agree with you there :)

All this talk of armour and whatnot made me think: a romance scene that could have worked really well (for any LI really), is helping each other put their combat gear on (or taking it off, whichever hehe).

That would be my opinion as well, wearing a skintight bodysuit beneath her armour and nothing else. And not wearing anything beneath her (and their in general) everyday clothing/formal clothing.

That would be interesting! And aside from being an...enticing image, it also provides a better look at how the armor in the universe actually works.

I mean, for the longest time, I didn't even realize what Liara's LotSB outfit was - that is, that it's a bodysuit with various light armor plates strapped to it. With a coat strapped on top of that, holding it in place.

Asari eye colours, for humans the most dominant iris colour is brown, but when playing the game alot of Asari seem to have blue eyes eg. Liara, Samara, Falere, Aria, Benezia to name a few, just thought that blue is perhaps the most common eye colour of the asari, I may be wrong though.

If my Shep were to have kids I would love if the kid got my Shep's rich green eyes, her Mom's dreamy blue one's are just for Dad  But due to Asari reproduction and genetic DNA code mapping it probably wouldn't happen, I'll keep it in headcannon if that's the case.

I know Liara's very vibrant blue eyes definitely stand out...but I never really noticed that for the rest of the Asari. What eye colors do we even see Asari having? Are there any Asari we see with green eyes, for example?

Hahaa yea... Sovereign/Nazaara? in ME1 I friggan adored, the amount of cold menace in that voice was just epic.  Hell even harbinger had his(its) moments...all he needed was a curled mustache and melovolant laugh!

Hey now, Harbinger was really great too, just in a more... cartoonish way. Love 'em both.

Not at all. I thought it was pretty clear it was all just them joking around. Didn't really mind the nicknames either. =]

I believe that "I Was Lost Without You" was written just for Shepard and Liara - it's just so... fitting - the music and the title. It's just so full of emotion and feelings that correspond to what I believe Shepard and Liara feel for one another. They were lost without each other. I tend to think of it as their theme.

Written for them, hardly, but I have to say it is my favourite of the series romance themes. Favourite on the soundtrack overall actually. "I'm Proud of You" and "The Fleets Arrive" are lovely as well. In fact, most of the soundtrack is just amazing. ^_^

Yes, asari eyes do come in different colors, for instance Aethyta's eyes are brown (with more of a purplish hue in ME3).

and I totally agree on the songs, those 3 are my favorites along with "A Future for the Krogan"

If I recall Shiala had green eyes, Aethyta has brown eyes but alot of the Asari we encounter seem to have blue eyes, maybe it's the dominant eye colour for them. I even think Morinth has pale blue eyes too.
