Liara being a teenager is news to me. When was this established?Ilgar92 wrote...
I really hope, her current face is just a placeholder, and Bioware are just teasing us. Because this is absolutely not logical and stupid to create a new gorgeous detailed face model which almost everybody likes for just one short dlc.
And she's a teenager, why make her look like a 35-40 y.o. woman?
Liara Fans: keep your love blue and true!

I think she's about 18-20 by human standarts "barely more than a child" (с)
Liara is not a teenager. She is an adult. How many teens do you know that have a Ph'd?
That is like comparing apples and oranges. Not the same.
I'll ask again. How many humans at 18-20 year-olds have a Ph'd? Asair hit adulthood around 50-60 years old. Liara is almost 109. She's been an adult for five decades.
Since there is no blue yet here one:

She looks okay in the M3 pics here, but for a reason the texture dont shows. When you see her high quality maybe you would change your opinion. I got mixed feelings when i saw her close, and i found she looked really old.
Wish i could come in again for the demos and take a ninja photo with a hidden camera, but it took me 4 hours waiting the other day and wasnt so nice

It doesn't matter. Why do they made a character who is actually very young to look alot older than this character is? In LOTSB she looked perfect in my opinion. ME3 face is not improvement but degradation.
There's only logical conclusion : a temporary placeholder.

Different educational system? I don't know about U.S. ,but in Russia for example you can get your PhD after 2 years of postgraduate studies (i dont know if postgraduate studies is right term, in russia we call it "aspirantura" ).

In the US we have a K-12. It takes 4-5 years to get a Bachelor's degree. It can take another 2 years to get a Masters degree and another 1-2 years to get a Ph'd. Most of that will depend on what your degree is in and how many classes you take per term. A person with a Ph'd in the USA can be between 27-30 years old or older.

What would you do if in the middle of one of the last battles, firing against your enemies, would happen this?
Shepard: "Your biotics are becoming better every time"
Liara: "I'm with child"
The Liara with my Shepard would not get knocked up by Shepard with out asking ... I think.
So there is only one other thing I can think of .... "FERON!!!!!!!"
"Hunting Feron, Hunting Feron!"

They are teasing the crap out of Miranda fans by not talking or showing any clips of her too.TMA LIVE wrote...
I'm under the impression it's not going to change if they said "You're going to have to wait till the game comes out, there's a reason she has that face" and "ooow, tease".
I am now going to take a wait and see in March mode now. Or until I can actually play a demo for myself and see then.

In the love scene of M1, Liara makes the black eyes but when going to bed with Shep her eyes are normal again, so maybe asaris have black eyes just at the beginning of the connection, and later you cant realize in the middle of pleasure if they're still in meld state with you or not.PMC65 wrote...

In other words, maybe your Shep dont realize what Liara is doing that brief moment she looks away or cover her face with her arms
Either way, shame in your Shepard for not letting Liara to have such erotic asari experiences everyday
Edit:
I hope i understand you right, can be i got lost in translation

You don't forget that, when the ME3 Liara is wearing the same outfit as she did in LOTSB, but not the same head.

Something that makes me wonder, is that in the M3 promotions photos she's with Lotsb head

Can be that he just had no idea and wanted to tease us, or that the designers just ignored the photos they made in the webpage so far

Because he wouldn't say there's a reason behind it. He'd probably say "Well, we're still a few months away, and nothing's final, so no comment" Like what Casey said.

I dont know if to really trust him, he teased Miranda fans telling she will not be in ME3, and implicate that there will not be female turians ME3 time but maybe in future games
This is what macwalterslives said in twitter about it:

So good news that we've finally got a line from BioWare on Liara, but what a terrible response... I can't imagine she has been indoctrinated, but I can't figure out why the face would change. My only idea is, and this WILL sound crazy, is that LotSB Liara is the odd one out.
Before you shoot me down, look at it. ME1, ME2 and ME3 Liara look roughly the same - dull blue eyes, white-ish scalp. LotSB Liara has bright blue eyes and a bluer scalp. It's an odd one out. But at the start of LotSB, she looks like ME2 Liara. We never actually see the transition between the two, and it is just assumed they are the same person. So here it goes, my crazy theory. What if LotSB is some sort of 'clone' of Liara, and Cerberus, or the Collectors or the Shadow Broker got to Liara first and replaced her. We saw with that thing on Noveria (I forget it's name) that cloning is possible, and that those clones looked slightly different colour-wise to their original host. It would also explain how Liara joins your team - she has no ties to the SB base.
I dunno, it's a theory, and it kinda fits. Not a perfect fit but it also explains her out of character-ness during LotSB. Feel free to shoot it down, I feel like doing that myself
EDIT: It seems odd that the concept art had LotSB Liara in it though, might be worth digging into a bit more. Maybe something happens in-game that changes Liara... Maybe they drive into a ship full of flour and it sticks to her scalp <_<

The next thing we heard from him about it, was when the Alternate Appearance Pack is shown:

And this one had her LOTSB face.
Now it's "Wait for ME3, because there's a reason why her face is like that".
