I've been here five months and I haven't noticed any widespread hating here. And FemShep art getting more support hardly means people disapprove of MaleShep art, does it? Seems likely to me that FemShep players are more likely to comment on FemShep/Liara art than MaleShep/Liara art, but that's still not the same as disapproving.

That picture is very well drawn and absolutely welcome, personally I didn't comment because I can't relate to it due to not playing MaleShep.

On my laptop, and rue the times I can’t use it, I use the It’s All Text extension on Firefox…what it does is open up your favorite text editor (Vim in my case) and you type the text there. You A) get to use your editor and have a little more resilience for crashes and such.

What does the It's All Text extension do for you?  I've been thinking about switching from FF to Chrome, but it doesn't have blockscript/adblock yet.

Let's not get into the M!Shep/F!Shep argument that has been discussed over and over again - as I've said before - it's our love for Liara that brings us together here, right? What Shepard and Liara feel about each other and their love, like everything else in their romance, is the same for both genders.

FemShep gets more attention since there are more femshep players here and there are more artists creating FamShep & Liara art but the pictures of MShep gets both admiration and support and are greatly appreciated when great ones are created.
Whether an exaggeration or not the thread does not hate Mshep. Femshep get more support true, but no more appreciation or admiration.

I am a MShep player and have never felt unwelcome or anything similar, quite the contrary, an every piece of MShep & Liara art or pictures etc I have posted have been warmly accepted.

Even if we prefer our own favourites far most of us are also easily able to enjoy pictures and fanfics of the opposite gender of Shepard with Liara.

But yeah sorry lets focus on Liara.

meh i feel the same about femshep and babies, but i still like the thread. it is noticeably heavily biased but that's only the weight of the regular posters and their predilictions, no biggie.

I'm sorry if this sounds offensive, but you just posted the biggest thing to fight over at BSN forums.
Why can't everyone just agree to not care which Shepard everyone else likes, why can't we all be "anonymous Shepards"? Why even bring up the subject?!

Though I fail to see why somebody would 'cringe' at M!Shep/Liara. Comments like this make me feel as if I'm posting something bad whenever I put up a picture of M!Shep/Liara - that I am posting something that's unwelcome in the thread.

Yeah, sorry, I won't enjoy them but I know others will. Post it for them. I don't own the thread.

Some of us cringe at the "blue baby" pics and aren't big on seeing other Shepards (male or female) with Liara since it isn't our custom Shepard. It just looks wrong. Like Liara is cheating with some imposter ... who the heck is that red head copping a feel? Although I do appreciate Neeh's stuff and others, seeing the work that went into it.

But no matter ... we survive ... a little tattered but limping along!

So rock on with your Shepards (male/female/custom/default) and those icky blue baby pics.

How do you get that idea? I would say we are rather well balanced when it comes to femshep and maleshep players. And I have not encountered any hatred towards either.

I am working on a chapter where Liara is going to a dinner party at Shepard's place and while I have an idea on what she would bring (no, they are not in a romance yet) ... what do you see her bringing if she went shopping with Chakwas on the Arcturus Station? Just curious as to what other Liara fans could see Liara picking as a gift for her hostess.

I'm actually halfway through my first playthrough. Yeah, I've been pretty late to the punch, but I'm loving Liara's stuff so far. I'm also aware of the idiocy and disappointment of the endings, so there's no need to warn me. I'm cautiously optimistic for the EC.

Hmm... I think she would pick something with a practical use for Shepard. Maybe she'd go around searching, looking through everything but isn't sure what would the Commander find useful. Then she ends up buying a new pistol holster, at least that would go in good use. And in my mind that too ends up all awkward and somewhat cute!

Tho I don't know what there is to buy on Arcturus Station, ship parts?

Well, since Chakwas is probably going to be the one buying the brandy, I'd suspect that Liara will bring something different - depending on who E.W. Shepard is, maybe a new omni-tool or biotic amp? Or maybe Liara may try to get her interested in Prothean culture by bringing her some sort of compilation of vids about them or something. Or a souvenir from Arcturus Station.

Just typing the ideas as they go through my mind, too!

Hmm, seeing that Arcturus Station is a human one I guess she will only find human or Earth made things there.

How about a nice make-up set for Shep  Cause obviously that's what you give human females. Seeing default Femshep raccoon eyes she has at least a dozen of those...just for the color black!


But as Chakwas is there with her I suppose she will guide her into the right direction. Some good wine? Imported from Earth....or some typical dessert or pastry? Hmm, I don't even know what I would bring to a dinner party...most likely something to drink.

LOL! Since Chakwas has previously been to Shepard's with a bottle that might be too obvious on her part to sucker poor Liara that way. But the scene it put in my head was funny!

Looking at Liara from a gameplay perspective, I think she's absolutely incredible in ME3. Well, she's amazing in all three games, but that's beside the point.

Alongside my Adept main Shepard, the pair of them absolutely destroy the enemy. With Garrus also in tow, there is nothing that the team cannot handle. Given that the recharge time for Liara's Singularity is only a few seconds, it's possible to have biotic explosions erupting all over the place. It's great! I know she's pretty squishy, but that just means that you have to use her effectively. There's no sense in trying to turn her into a tank.

So yeah, gameplay Liara is awesome.

You take that many shots and you won't even be able to SPELL AA.
