They did.

Javik  metions they used to have hair before they started mating with lizards.

Really??? I don´t recall Javik saying that:S But if that is true then the asari do acquire traits from their father.

I suspect the reason the asari eventually acquired their special skin and head crests is either because they gain traits of other species after severeal generations of mating with the same species, or because their interspecies mating was less evolved when this happened.

Uh, even ancient Asari writings have them with head crests and such. You're kinda reaching.

Which I can sort of go along with. But on the other hand choosing a partner from another country with a different culture is one thing, choosing a partner from another planet with a different anatomy is another.

They have a brain and some kind of a DNA? Same anatomy as the asari, as far as procreation goes.

It could very well have occured before that. I don't see why not. I also don't see a problem with it.

Hey, wait a minute. I've never seen this dialogue before. Does Liara talk about Kai Leng if Kaidan didn't die and Shep is a paragon?

This dialogue only happens, if Shepard can't convince the VS and they die. This should happen, no matter if Paragon or Renegade. It's just in my Renegade series, because I mostly record rare dialogues with Liara.

The other Squadmate was James. It's the worst case scenario, there was no Garrus, that's how I could record the Palavan dialogue with Liara. :)

Wuhu, finished.
And now I wanted to share the Liara kills Kaidan dialogue. I thought it was pretty awesome that Liara knows that my Shepard is a biotic.
^.^

Interesting. I like that it provides further insight into her character, and expands upon the largely unseen relationships that developed between squadmates in ME1.

Thanks for sharing, kumquats!

Well sure there are similarities but there are some obvious differences. I can't help but think asari would be grossed out by alien reproduction.

I get what you are saying ... especially when I look at the hanar, elcor, volus. But since procreating is done with the mind and not the body that is the difference? And if breeding can be done outside of sexual stimuli that would also make me think it could happen.

But attraction by all asari? Nope, I'm right there with you. I think alot of asari would not find other species attractive but the same could be said of all the species. not every human would fall for the asari, turian, etc.

I personally do not find any of the aliens sexually attractive but I do not play me in the game ... or I would have been single until ME3 and Traynor came aboard. "Hello, sister!"

Sad thing is, being from the UK, to me Traynor gets characterised as "just another posh southern bird". Accent puts me off.

Just did MP. Map of Thessia is small, basically just perhaps a little more of what is seen in SP. Everything's just Asari type doors and the rest are just stuff seen in SP; consoles, etc. And yeah, destroyed stuff; floor whatever.

The one on Surkesh is bigger, I'd say about 3 times; 2 tiered in a sprawling design. Nooks and cranniers to hide for both players and enemies. So watch those corners!

Mass Effect has some pretty unattractive aliens, so many are strange looking. I don't think I could get over the wrong number of fingers, it creeps me out and probably messes up their maths. Star Trek had a lot more sexy aliens but of course that was limited by being a tv show where everything was done with make-up.

Wait, not even asari? But they look exactly like...  nevermind.

Really? I'm welsh but I quite like her posh english accent. One of my flatmates in uni had a similar accent, she was pretty well off too so she really was posh but she was a good laugh. So if someone is posh I won't hold it against them, so long as they don't mind me being common.

Although it would have been funny if they'd given Traynor something like a scouse or a geordie accent instead. I don't really imagine most colonists being well off so giving her a more common accent would make sense.

Nah, I don't think that's the case. Some time back it has been posted and reposted what felt like a 1000 times....always with the same comments which basically boil down to "omg this picture is amazing...seeeeexyyyyyy....garblgarblgarbl" with people loosing their ability to speak and all. :D

As much as I like the picture and Liara's belly...because honestly...what's not to like there....seeing page after page with only that picture got a bit old.

So I would say....posting DA BELLY once in a while is not a bad thing....just go ahead. It's nice to look at. Posting it 50 times in a row...yeah...I like some more variety =]

I think they did well with Firebase Goddess - there's a distinct asari influence on the design, and I liked the room with the water inside. The whole layout is very interesting to move around in, and allows for smooth flow and gameplay. I think it's the most aesthetically pleasing map from the multi-player ones.

Something I would have done differently was the destroyed stuff you mentioned - I'd rather have the place undamaged and in full glory, though it is understandable that it isn't, given the lore. My geth did put a few new holes in it, though, in an attempt to kill teleporting banshees.

Edit: And did they fix Reave? I didn't hear that dreadful sound again, but I wouldn't know whether somebody used it. Please somebody tell me they did!

AFAIK people disliked it because they felt it was distasteful because it reduced her to a piece of meat. I never felt that myself and feel like it was just as distasteful as any other NSFW picture out there, which is to say, not at all.

I'm one of the people who complained about it being posted all the time before - and my issue with it is just that it's rather tasteless, by itself. It's just her midriff - her head is removed from the picture. I find it removes her character from the picture, just so you can ogle her skin.

It's like it dehumanizes - or de"asari"izes - her, because it's not Liara anymore so much as it just is "the naked asari form".

There IS an accompanying shot with her head included in the picture. If there was a decent way to combine the two I'd find it much more tasteful.

I really like the aesthetics and layout, too. It does a good job of actually looking like a place Asari previously worked at, before it got invaded. I like the little outdoor section, too. My only complaints are that I'd like it if there were more outdoor sections, if it was larger (Sur'Kesh is much larger) and if it wasn't destroyed.

Ah there was that. True....I forgot. But I think this was coupled with the 1000s reposts of said picture. Ah things move so quickly in this thread...it's hard to keep up with what happened when.

Well, there are some NSFW pics out there which I find distasteful but I don't think the belly belongs in that category. Although I find that when you post it you should post it with the head part. It's just nice seeing Liara's face in addition to the rest

That is indeed true and I should have worded my sentence better, I meant any NSFW that has been in this thread so far, none that I can remember of has been distasteful.

And perhaps that is a good idea. If we post both the head and the belly picture together it might offend less people.

I think it's the first time I see these - guess I haven't been around at the time.

I have to say that I agree - it's not quite the same effect as actually knowing, seeing, that it's Liara. Besides, there are a lot of pictures out there of her naked that are actually quite tasteful. Though I understand that there's really no way to combine the two pictures here, but ideally, in a render, her whole torso would be seen with her hands folded.

Either way, any picture posted so many times is going to get old - even if it is totally awesome. Thankfully we've had so many different pictures of Liara lately that I honestly can't complain.

This has got to be one of my most favorite pictures of Liara ever:

Sarcastic Tasha - Asari do not look exactly like us ... none of the aliens do. They are just closer in appearance but physically there are differences.

As for Traynor's accent ... geordie in its posh place? *thinks of Cheryl Cole* okay! Although, to be honest .. I really can't tell a difference between UK accents. But if I can switch her accent I'd make her Irish from Dundalk. Sweet!

EDIT: That rule only applies to non-baby pictures, apparently Image IPB
