I saw your post. You said Thessia was cold! But doesn't the description of the planet list an average temperature? Then again, you can't really list an average temperature too well, because even on Earth there's a huge variance as you get farther from the equator, so same should hold true for Thessia.

It's hard for me to imagine Thessia being much colder than Earth, because the Asari don't seem like they'd be particularly...able to withstand very cold temperatures. They seem much more suited for warm temperatures.

Also, thanks for the avatar compliment! I like it a lot, too. The guy who made it is very talented, and I love his work. You've seen the LotSB one that was made for me, that I linked before too, right?

The "global mean surface temperature" is about 15°C, so Thessia is even warmer than Earth.
Also, because apparently nobody read it, the moon does not affect the length of the day, it does not stabilize the planet's rotational axis nor does it affect the seasons
And I like that avatar well ^^
edit: forget it, if the average temperature on thessia is 25°C, it has to be much, much more warmer than on Earth.

I was refering to that thessia doesn't have any planets. Why do you say asari are more suited for warm temperatures? The asari with their blue skin seem more suited for me to cold temperatures.Image IPB
and to be more specific it says average temperature 25 C.

Just because an Asari's skin is blue doesn't mean they are more tolerant of cold conditions - I think they would be rather vulnerable to it, just like reptiles and such can be, because well - look at them! No hair or any sort of insulation. How would they tolerate it? How would their bodies keep them warm?

On the other hand, that seems perfectly suited to warmer temperatures.

Can you post a link if you can or say in what page you posted the link?

Here is the link to the description: http://masseffect.wi...om/wiki/Thessia

I'll just repost it, any excuse to do so! I have it in avatar size as well as this, but it looks better in this larger form so I'll just link that.

http://i.imgur.com/yiSJo.jpg

Edit - Aletto backs me up on that Asari should be more suited for warmer temperatures than cold ones.

But tell me this, how would Thessia not having a planet - what kind of an impact WOULD it have on the planet? I'm getting mixed messages here.

I assumed the main difference would be in tides, so a Thessian beach would be very different from an Earth beach.

Earth surface temperature is 23 C, so thessia is only 2 degrees warmer.

Okay, so wikipedia seems to be wrong ^^ but anyways, 2 kelvin is a lot. I don't know whether you believe in global warming or not, but if you do, you'll realize that only 2 kelvin make a big difference
edit: according to the NASA, the average temperature on Earth is 15°C

2 degress is a huge difference. Just so you understand, in the last 80 years, the average temperature on most places on Earth were raised by barely 1 degree, and look how many changes that did.

I have to agree with Aristobulus. Liara's comments on Noveria prove that she's having trouble with the cold. The asari also appear to colonize warm planets such as Illium - which has a surface temperature of 63 °C, and they do so since they seem to be more suited for warmer temperatures.

Isn't 2 C equivalent to less than 10 F.

I don't know much about Fahrenheit (I live in Europe), but that's the average temperature. The temperature differences can be (and they are) extreme. -> conclusion: either thessia is a lot warmer in general, or there are extremely cold and extremely warm areas.

I'm not sure, since I live where the metric and C system is used, I don't know how many 2C are in F. But I think you can check that on the internet. Still, 2C or 10F for an average temperature is a huge difference. The global warming's process would almost triple itself if the average temperature on Earth would have been raised by 2 degrees.

Well thats the surface temperature of thessia, but probably thessia has temperatures differences
no planet has the same temperature in all regions.

Nothing kills in Mass Effect except bullets, drinking at the Afterlife if you're Human, and mind melding with Morinth. And crashing into trucks.

Liara's unused armor
Image IPB

Reminds me too much of the ME1 armor in terms of looks. I really liked that ME2 and 3 stepped away from  the wetsuit look and went towards what would actually appear to be armor.

I concuer with this. This armor looks too close to ME1's armor design, I prefer her current white armor.

"EDIT"

On the topic on the coup I also disliked how Bioware turned Udina into a mindless badguy, same with Cerberus complete lack of justification for trying to kill the council.... And then there is Kai Leng. :pinched:

TOP!

One of the things i like about Liara is that she is blue and blue is my favorite color.
