Anyone got a good explanation for why the "From ashes" commando outfit looks great on Liara, but awful on Ashley?
Just something I have been pondering on for a while.
Because if so, it's the visor. The rest is fine.
I'd say Liara looks better in it, I guess, but both look fine enough.

She only has the visor on if toggle the squadmates to wear helmets. So it is not the visor that make it look so goddamn ugly.

Are you sure? I seem to remember that there was just silence, could be wrong though, I didn't really pay that much attention to that particular scene.shepard1038 wrote...

Actually yeah shepard says so? It happens on the game.
I thought the same, I think that the lighter more elegant look of that particular armour suits Liara great, where ashley require something more battle-robust, so to speak.Lizardviking wrote...

moments where shepard has to fight and pulls the trigger on his friends.
I know what the kid stands for, however, that doesn't mean he still doesn't fail at what he's supposed to symbolize. If people cannot connect emotionally to what he is supposed to represent, then he does not serve a purpose. For a symbol like this, one that is meant to stand for loss and, I suppose, innocence, it is important that Bioware choses something or someone that every player can connect to. As it stands, the majority of players don't. Whoever chose him made a horrible decision in that regard.

I think that plays a part.
I am also starting to think Ashley's new haircut makes her head look more bulky in a way, making the head seem too big compared to the armor. This is not as much as a problem with Liara obviously.

They should have the characters we already know and love be the focus of the dreams, not the kid (although he could be a background event in them if Bioware abseloutly wanted him in them).
Have a bullet ridden confront Shepard if you shot him, have Liara be the one to to burn in the last nightmare.

I know I was just saying that the kid represents that.
@Akernis
Thats weird i look at some youtube videos and shepard doesn't say nothing but in my playthrough shepard says so? And i didn't romance jack. Well it would make sense to have shepard have nightmares where shepards Li dies or his friends that would mean that hes afraid of losing them.

have Liara be the one to to burn in the last nightmare.. There is a point where things go from being emotional to downright unpleasent, in this particular case it would be mitigated somewhat by the fact the a few seconds later Shepard wakes up in Liara's arms and knows everything is well, but still.
I think the last scene is meant to be somewhat unpleasant, so it would the job just fine given most people are attached to their LIs.

I know this is achievable if you have a pathectic ems score but if this was an unavoidable reality I would have thrown my controller at the tv, this is more horrible than the starchild ending:crying: A nightmare come to life for sure, my romance and my bromance burnt to a crisp:(

Yep, don't worry I can keep up:D Just throwing it out there if all those dreams of Shep burning up instead of having Liara in there actually resulted in your LI when you head towards the conduit getting toasted by that beam, if it was unavoidable I think I would turn off the game then and there. It would be unexpected and would hurt like hell, if she was in your nightmares it would have a sense of forboding, you would be almost expecting something awful to happen to her. If Shepard died I could take it but not Liara, that's too hard. Ideally I want them both to live of course, EC should fill in the blanks I hope:whistle: Replaying ME3, those dream sequences are annoying as f*ck, goddamn starchild bs<_<

Cause I am evil!
But seriously. Just imagine that instead of seeing having Shepard see himself embracing the kid, have him see Liara and the other Shepard happily embrace each other. Giving the player a heartwarming feeling as we see Shepard dreams of a happy ending with his girl.
And then twist that dream by having a Reaper destroyer beam slowly crawl towards the couple, with Shepard looking in terror as he is frozen in place and unable to help, forced to watch Liara turn to ash. All while said Liara keeps a creepy eye contact to him.
That would have been alot better don't you think?

Yeah. I really don't feel like typing it all up again, though. I said everything basically perfectly the first time, as I wanted to anyway, I'd just be trying to repeat myself.
In short, I really think it's important that the nightmares be nightmares and actually be disturbing to the player as well as Shepard, so that the player is actually feeling what Shepard is supposed to be feeling.
There's a huge disconnect right now because Shepard acts all distraught over the kid and most players could not possibly care less, so Shepard is all panicking, and players are trying to not fall asleep.
Because they are nightmares though, they SHOULD be painful and disturbing for a player - especially ones invested in the series such as me and other Liaramancers in this thread.
But seriously, is there some way I can find that post I made?

Indeed. The dreams should be disturbing and twisted. Have the player be soaked into the situation along with Shepard. The closest the dreams got to that in their current form for me was when I kept hearing the same lines from Ashley, Mordin and Eve during the second nightmare.

I know they keep track of asari bondmates, just wandering what asari offspring guardianship rules and laws would entail. The law usually looks more favourably towards the primary care-giver which is the mother, so would anyone think the asari would be like minded? (Double-tops, unexpected, hope this question is worthy:P)

Yeah after the shroud mission when shepard has a nightmare and he hears mordin voice say "had to be me" that was sad.
Also did you through it was sad when shepard dies on synthesis and he has the flashback?
