^I think you need to go before Priority: The Citadel 1 (when Cerberus attacks), when Liara is sitting at Apollo Cafe you should be able to see her father, talk to her, and then tell Liara to meet up with her.

When the choice appears to go to the other parts of the citadel I went to the apollo cafe and didn't see her.
Do i need to come later?

Talk to Liara, she sends you to Barla Von. Talk to him and then go to the cafe. If Aethyta is not there, do a Citadel side quest or pick up another side quest, then check out the Apollo cafe. As long as you visit the cafe before the Cerberus coup, she should appear.

A question: What was the asari's equivalent of a human ear called in the lore? Was there a specific term?

If it was ever referred to, it was just ‘ear’.

Here’s a semi-related thought: asari have slightly worse hearing than humans, lacking the earlobe that concentrates sound, and this is because…I haven’t really figured it out. It seems really cheesy to claim it as Yet Another Biotic Benefit, so I just chalked it up to being lucky enough to not go extinct due to the lack thereof.

Now it doesn’t really matter because everyone — in my world, anyway — has aurals, usually-implanted ear phones.

That's actually an interesting idea about asari having worse hearing, so it would make sense that they have some impairments, after all.

Well, if there isn't a term for their ears, I wondered how I would go about describing it in a fanfic. I've read your Introducton to Asari for Humans, but I don't remember whether it was covered there.

I'd like to think maybe Asari have slightly worse hearing, but make up for it in other ways. Such as how reptiles can work, and such.

sorry i normally put full fleshed out thoughts in italics eg.) Tiberius thought She has the most beautiful eyes, in order to differentiate from actual spoken dialogue.  thoughts that weren't fully formed act more like description and don't get any special treatment like that.  Its just how i learned from reading and some creative writing teachers

I learned that the hard way the first time I posted a fic from openoffice to DA, all the formatting went haywire and the italics got lost. I spend a long time checking formatting now, tagging bold/underlined/italics etc. Getting a four-parter up there was hellish, was such a relief that the latest fluff piece only took about 5 minutes to check and upload :)

I enjoyed your latest, my own bugbear (sorry) was the punctuation. Commas migrating from where they should be to where they shouldn't, here and there. Nice to see the start for Tib and Liara, I really should do my own version of Therum for Kira :D

I really like fics that show how Liara and Shepard meet and how their relationship develops. It's especially interesting to see Liara's point of view, as she's likely to have had little contact with humans before and is trying to get accustomed to our species.

I’d just go with ‘ear’, unless you specifically want to concentrate on the physique; in that case, I’d maybe have Shepard (?) make note of “only the tighter ridging surrounding the cavity of the ear where humans had their protruding ear lobe” or the other way around, with Liara and “the humans had a curious cartilage structure — not unlike her crest — around their ear. She surmised it acted as a directed surface to gather sound waves into the ear for better hearing…but she had also noticed that she could cause sounds by nibbling on it” or something.

Actually, I think I’ll use the latter description myself  ©!

I should add some more sections to the Intro…I just concentrated on the ‘interesting’ parts. Have you noticed, for example, that the asari cranium is smaller than a human’s?

Maybe already a bit offtopic but: What do you mean when speaking about Paragon and Renegade romance?

^When using either the Paragon or the Renegade options in the conversation with your LI (only those that will give the same results if you choose either Paragon or Renegade e.g. most of the conversations with Liara in ME1 will bring to a romance if you use either the Paragon or the Renegade)..

It's a little bit complicated.
In ME1, we had a bunch off dialogue options how to interact with Liara in the romance. You don't get any Reputation points, but people still call it Renegade/Paragon dialogues, just to make it easier.
In ME2 they are really Paragon and Renegade responses, because you really get Paragon/Renegade points for them. Which is kind of stupid, but then again, most of ME2 interactions with your companions are really stupid.
(I'm thinking about Garrus calibration and how you miss out 50% of their dialogues without romancing <.<)
In ME3, they got rid of that, you always get Reputation points no matter what you do. No matter what you choose you always get the same amount of Reputation points. That means: There are not really Renegade or Paragon responses, it gives you finally the freedom to say anything you want.

Paragon/Renegade is just easier to explain which conversation option you did choose. That's at least my thing, about the whole dialogue wheel. ^.^

Hey folks!

Well, I finally got to experience Liara's romance firsthand... And it's so *neat*! My Shepard, Riley, is only allowed to touch Liara's hair tentacles if Liara may stroke Riley's mohawk... :P

It is in the Digital Deluxe Edition of Origin. I don't know about consoles, if that's your case.

Get the ENB Mod ini. Enjoy.
But you can't wear it in cutscenes like the romance conclusion.=]

Thanks guys, I'll consider it if I play through ME3 again. Currently, I'm pretty burned out of playing ME, but I do still enjoy reading ME fanfiction.

Indeed, I tried to make my paragon femshep look like a normal woman.  One you might see just down at the shops.  I've taken a little stick on YouTube as 'fugly' shep, but that wasn't the point.  She really grew on me as well.  I was soooooo pissed off when she wouldn't port over to ME3 and my approximation re-build was terrible.  Even when they 'fixed' the porting, she still looks way wrong.  :(
