Liara may not be what many consider this type, and so exclude all possiblities of her dancing even in private for Shepard or something. I however disagree. I think this would fit her to dance in private for Shepard. It would follow her private personality, but also her inner passion. She just keeps these things very controlled.

I just can't see her dance for Shepard, dancing with Shepard certainly, I think she would greatly enjoy that but not for him/her. Though I could see her  teaching Shepard a thing or two about grace.

also has there been any release date set yet for the EC  because I haven't been paying attention all that much

Nope. All we have right now is 'summer' as the release date for the EC.

Here's Chris Priestly's post as to what 'summer' means:

Chris Priestly wrote...

Summer will mean different things to different people. Some people think of it as June, July & August (traditionally teh warmest months). Some people use the astronomical calendar which means summer is between June 20 and September 21 this year.

For Australians, summer runs November, December and January.

Forthe Extended Cut, Summer will refer to when it is done and ready to be released. Could be this month, could be next month, or August or September.

These two. Liara seems to be somewhat of an introvert (spelling?) and I imagine that Benezia also raised her expecting her to be something greater and rise above other maidens.

TOP! GIve me a second.

Do you think Liara might ever do it as part of some ShadowBroker activity? Like needing to ambush someone perhaps?

Hey guys, I know that it'll take a few weeks, maybe months, but let's do something special on the page 2000 :P

I'll admit that I really like this Liara manipulation. The purple color of the snake puts an emphasis on its alien nature as it is probably made to look as if it's from Thessia or other asari world. At least the effort was put. Would have been nice if Liara's more purplish look in ME3 was used, though.

Tip: don’t search for "purple snake" on the internet…

Great..now Im thinking, what does a Thessian snake look like..humm..  Biotic snakes? Yikes!Image IPB

Is it violet? I thought it was blue, but I might be remembering incorrectly.

The reason why I ask is that there was some discussion about the Tali homeworld comic in another thread a couple weeks back, and people were bashing it for giving Quarians purple blood instead of the red you see in game. In that thread I had asked if there was any element that would work as a metalloprotein that could give blood a purple tint. (Our own blood is red because of the oxidized iron molecules in hemoglobin)
Someone with presumably a lot more knowledge about biochemistry replied that there was not.

Copper based metalloproteins however would give blood a bluish tint.

Wouldn't the SB have agents for that?

Stereotypes usually come from some segment of truth, or else no one would make them.

While im sure its not all asari, or even most, but a noticeable number do happen to go into these professions, for whatever length of time for whatever reason. That then creates a stereotype that other species attach to Asari...

I imagine in this case the stereotype may be based on a flawed perspective. It's not that asari tend to become exotic dancers, but the other way around - exotic dancers tend to be asari. Not only are they naturally good at it, they're the only species universally attractive to most others. Sure, I guess there are probably turian strippers on Palaven, but in the culturally mixed settings like the Citadel or Omega it just makes sense that proprietors would hire mostly asari dancers. I think that's more than enough basis for a stereotype to be born...

I agree completely here, Akernis. It simply doesn't it suit Liara's character. I don't even see her performing something like this for Shepard like some stories like to show she does.

I for one can easily imagine Liara doing something like that for Shepard (and not just because of Rae's Display fic). But then again, I also think that in intimate situations with Shepard she's not as timid or restrained as most people seem to assume. Just going by her two sex scenes (especially the one in ME3), she actually seems quite assertive, in control, like she knows what she wants and what to do about it. There's more to her than just the shy scientist and detached shadow broker

I suppose it is possible if said target demanded as part of some arrangement for meeting that he gets a lap dance by none other than Liara T'soni herself.

Although In such a case I think my Shepard would like to have a few words with said person.

like something from star wars,

Are you suggesting that you want to see Liara captured by one of her rivals (TIM or worse... the Yagh broker) and be their personal dancer? :o

Assuming for a moment that a character goes into deep cover as a stripper, there could only be two possible motives: information gathering or wetwork.

As for information gathering, it doesn't seem like it would be the best cover. The agent would be working in a noisy enviroment with loud music and would likely not be privy to the secrets of the never-do-wells that are running the place. That agent would probably not discover much of use. While 'honey traps' are a tried and true tactic used by spies since the beginning of time, that might require that the girl actually sleep with the target and gain his or her trust first. That isn't something I can see Liara doing. It is also a bit risky as the target might not divulge secrets to lovers.

Cover for an assassination might work especially if the target is known as a womanizer and has a thing for exotic dancers, but even then it is work that would probably be delegated to an agent that specializes in that sort of thing, rather than carried out personally by the 'boss.'

I remember from LotSB seeing Asari blood, and it looking purpleish. Perhaps some lighting effect made it look that way and it was really blue. But I think it was more violet, as thats what I remember seeing. I even thought to myself "huh, for some reason I was expecting blue".  But then Turians had blue blood instead, making me think about how its kinda the opposite of what you might think.

How I love it when this thread is on railed and we talk about Liara and the Asari and not about some bullsh*t IT or something like that. Let's try to keep it that way.

Tell me about it. This is almost the only place free from character bashing, flaming and heated disputes over what the correct ending is and what fan theory is "proven" to be true like the IT. Not saying that there are no other places in the forum where you're free from that (the Fanfic Writers' Support Thread, for instance) but most of the spoiler forums are full of this negativity.

You know, the ending, it was complete and utter !@#$%. I hates it, HATES it. It gives me nerd rage, verbal diarrhoea...

Just kidding...

Oh and did someone say they wanted a one-shot of Liara giving a eulogy for Shepard? Because I'm dithering over writing it... have something set a few centuries post-ME3 in my head somewhere...

Why does everyone expect asari blood to be blue? It's not like human blood and skin color are in any way related. Anyway, canon is actually very self-contradicting on this issue, at various points it's been red, blue and several shades in between. I guess just pick whatever variation you like best :)

Why? Why did you have to contaminate this thread with such vile hate, Jen? Now there's literally no safe place anywhere on the forum! Guess I'm off the BSN for good!

I don't know who that was, but I'm supporting any idea you have for a subsequent one-shot as I really liked how you wrote 'Empty'. An eulogy is going to be interesting, though I'd also love to see Shepard's thoughts explored further, as well!

Ohhh yes, I have been muddling over a concept for Shep's POV since Empty was written. I was going to write it into whatever sequel there is to Nova et Vetera, but given how long the latter is taking, I might just pen it as a one-shot :wizard:

It isn't that I expected Asari blood to turn out to be blue, just that I remembered it (incorrectly it seems) as being blue in game. After reading Ajosraa's second post, I think I may have been confusing it with Turian blood. It is one of those details that is in the background that I didn't pay a lot of attention to

Whether blue or red makes no difference to me, since both are plausible. *If* purple isn't plausible however, I'd rather the 'canon' was either of the other two.

It'll be quite a long while if you don't make it a one-shot, though, even if I'll eventually get around to reading the rest of Nova et Vetera. I'll definitely be on the lookout for it. :)

Asari blood = vivid purple

Human blood = bright red

Turian blood = dark blue

Salarian blood = pale green

I don't recall that of the other races.

Very true... the whole reason I wrote Empty as a one-shot anyway was because I couldn't really wait till the end of NoV to pen it! Damn this impatience

And take your time with NoV... it's not going anywhere. Although potty-mouthed reckless Shep might have been put in her place by Liara by then :o
