It doesn't sound like Priority: Earth will be changed gameplay-wise. It's always a pain to play through. However, if we actually see scenes of previous squad members and the actual war assets into play, it'll make at least *that* part less painful.

Whoa, I wasn't expecting it to be out so fast already.
Yes, four days untill we can either exhale in relief or all hell breaks loose.Theodoro wrote...
Four days from now we'll know whether we'll be sticking to our headcanon or not...
Hmm... I have very mixed feelings about that they said.Theodoro wrote...
Here is a link for information about the EC with an interview with Casey Hudson, Mac Walters, and Jessica Merizan.
One the one hand they seem to actualy realise that we want to be with the characters and our LI, so it seems more likely than not now to me that we might actually be together with Liara and possibility of blue babies
But on the other hand they still seem to hold unto that "there is othing wrong with the actual ending" so I really doubt that anything is going to be changed with the starbrat, final choice or relay destruction, thus the universe as a whole remains more or less ruined
I am very cautiously optimistic at this... please, come on... this is the last chance
Whatever there is Liara related will be what makes or breaks it for me.

No problem! Since what we've seen from the ending stays, then the only thing we can hope for is for it to be happy, right? It still won't make any sense (which is sad, since what happened at the end is still an insult to Mass Effect), but at least we might be able to somehow reunite with the former crew. One can only hope.Akernis wrote...

This link contains five shots from the EC development... Look at your own risk! Not exactly spoiler-ish, but they still give away a scene or two...

But apparently these things are said about the ending.
Expressly said in those interviews:
Nobody starves to death.
Your squad is together.
Those character "have a future". Strong implication that the core 'experience' of Galactic Civilization goes on.
That's a good sign at least.
But apparently they say a bunch more awful stuff as you'd expect from hacks like them.
"Some people wanted us to reject the entire ending...to go back and start from scratch. But we can't do that. We don't know how to write that story."
Which to me reads like this "we don't know how to write good stories, only awful ones"
"The extended cut is more about taking the things that are there and making them shine even more, rather than trying to change and adapt them to reach out to a broader audience looking for something that was just never intended."
ughhhh

Writes PMC on two bottles of Jameson.
As someone who expects zero from this EC ... and as an optimist this is a weird feeling - pessimism ... I hope Casey and his team pull this off for at least 60% of those unhappy with the ending. But after listening to the interview my hopes just weren't lifted ... Sorry.
But at least if the EC is crap I won't be driven to go all whack-a-doodle on this board ... It is good sometimes to be apathetic.

rofl moreeman, when this extended ending sends me spiralling into a disastrous rage that invokes my wrath to destroy everything in sight - you will be spared. Listening to that interview...was like listening to all the other bull**** they crammed down our throats pre and post-launch - it did re-awaken the urge to punch walters and/or hudson - thank god it was just a podcast and i didnt have to look at their smug faces, though. I would be short a monitor.
lol *sighs* here we go again *pulls up the ole' familiar barstool*

They don't know how to do a rewrite, then get somebody else!
The last part sounds like "technobabble" to me. Lots of "nice" big words in there.
P.S. I've a very bad feeling about this .

- One shows Joker on the cockpit, Garrus and Traynor behind him, receiving orders from Hackett to retreat along with the rest of the fleet, saying that the Crucible is attached and that it will do its job. (Okay, so then *every* ship out there has probably crash landed somewhere, or Joker just didn't make it in time and crashed on that world. Still don't know how the two squad members from the run to the beam are there with Joker, though.)
- The other shows your crew gathered around the memorial wall on a crashed Normandy, wires sticking out. Not sure what to make of that one. Shepard's not among them.

Yeah, they most likely add Shep's name to it...because they are stranded on a friggin planet without him/her!
