You have my support. I'm doing that now since I decided that I don't like the Vanguard after ME1. Too much Charging and I was spoiled in the first game by having most of the other biotic abilities too. I thought it was kinda lame that you lose that in the sequels. So, I've moved to the Adept and I have to beat the series quickly while sating my OCD tendencies. It's a pain in the ass since I want to get through the games quickly and I can't not do everything. Gah....

Well, at least now I have a hard save at the second conversation Shepard has with Liara since I stupidly forgot to save one on my Vanguard and I had no way to prepare for when my fic gets to that point. That, and all this extra playing has helped me characterize Shepard a bit more, which is still important even though I'm not writing from her point of view.

Hmmm, that's a little... judgemental and dismissive, don't you think? I'm sorry you find death distasteful and unnecessary. I don't know what your prior experience with it is, but I've seen a bit too much of it for my liking, and distasteful is the last word I would use to describe it.

That is why I have a saved game that was readied long ago for the EC
Only problem is, I need to play the freaking MULTIPLAYER to raise the damn Galactic Readiness.......

Sigh... since my 360 went 'splodey, I wasn't able to import Raith Shepard, my Infiltrator, that was poised to go into ME3 with me at release. However, said 'splodey event occured two weeks before release and I lost her.... Now, I'm trying to desperately finish the series and actually play ME3 with Rachel Shepard, my new Adept. Serra, the Vanguard, got to ME2, but I can't go through two entire games playing something I'm not having fun with. So, it was back to the drawing board, and back to speed runs and another 100% playthrough of ME1 that will take forever.....

Yeah, I'm going to experience the EC the same way I did ME3. Youtube. However the EC pans out, I will play through the series and eventually through ME3. I owe myself and the characters that much.

Wow man sorry to hear about your 360.. It really sucks that it got ruined 2 weeks before ME3 =/
I''ve had this save game ready for the EC for like a month, becuase since then I only played ME1 and a little ME3 Multiplayer (I'm talking about only ME stuff ofcourse), because I knew that when the EC will come out, I'd want to just play it straight away and not to have to start from scratch. The only problem now is the GR...

Listen guys, please please please try not to post any spoilers about the EC tomorow, because I don't think I will have enough time to play Multi to increase enough my GR, so I won't be able to play it tomorow, so please post as little spoilers as possible Thanks.

I keep my opinion and my thoughts about the EC to myself, but if you want to be unspoiled about the EC, because you have to wait..... don't use the BSN. People will spoil all over the forum.

My laptop's adaptor just broke. OMG, I'm gonna go to my friend's house tomorrow to play the EC. Luckily, I have enough time to copy my save files. Maybe I will cry at her house if the EC is terrible. Argh !

Just let Shepard meet his/her LI again and I will be happy.

Different time zone. I'm ahead. I was able to play ME 3 earlier than US players. Not sure if it's the same for the EC.

True, the EC is gonna be an unavoidable hot topic all over the BSN, for me after today I'll have to go into exile for a good week because I'm a European PS3 owner, we're getting it later than everyone else, why are they punishing us<_< I'll just catch up on some fanfiction and polish up my multiplayer tab till then:whistle: I don't want any spoilers;)

I've just completed a playthrough of Mass Effect 2 recently, and just finished playing through Lair of the Shadow Broker again. I'm curious which squadmate you all like to bring with for the final confrontation?

This time around I'm brought Thane. On previous playthroughs somehow I missed that when Thane talks about his wife's murder at the hands of Batarian mercs, that he mentions that the Batarian mercs learned his identity thanks to information they purchased from the Shadow Broker. That gives him a personal stake in eliminating the current SB, since he was an accessory in his wife's murder. That, and since the objective of that final mission is to assassinate the Shadow Broker bringing a professional assassin along seemed like a good idea. I like that the Shadow Broker's dialogue acknowledges that as well. "You travel with fascinating companions, doctor. Bringing an assassin along was shrewd, T'Soni. I'll give Mr. Krios' son my regards."

On a side note, in the frequent discussion on the BSN about the soundtacks of all three games, LotSB deserves a lot more mention. The soundtrack for LotSB is as fantastic as the rest of the DLC.

That is interesting what you say about Thane and it makes sense - I haven't really thought about that. It's also certainly a neat touch to have the Shadow Broker comment on who else is along with you.

I usually bring Garrus along since by the time I play LotSB, I will have missed my perfect squad line-up dearly (Liara and Garrus, obviously). No particular reason why lore-wise apart from the fact that I want to have my two favorite squad members together with me for what is a pretty long mission that I feel Garrus should be a part of. It would have been nice if there were actual squad comments but it's obvious that they couldn't bring in the voice actors just for a few lines.

Those are definitely awesome and make those battle scenes all the more epic. Unfortunately, I haven't found the soundtrack for LotSB anywhere and I only get to listen to that in the game itself, otherwise I'll be playing these tracks much more often.

I brought Garrus along the first time I played through LotSB as well, for pretty much similar reasons. Liara and Garrus are probably my two favorite squadmates, and while I rotate my squadmates in and out for missions and use all of them, I do like to pair those two together often. They were also my team for the final confrontation with Saren/Sovereign in Mass Effect 1.

On my first playthrough, I brought Miranda with me during the fight. I knew there would be no squad banter (certainly a missed opportunity because of "ME:Redemption"), but she was my favorite squaddie in ME2...and triple warp action is always fun

On my second playthrough, I used Morinth. I wanted to know if the Yahg Broker reacts to her.

I always forget about Morinth, since I choose Samara in every playthrough. Does the Shadow Broker react to her, or does he mistake her for Samara?
